I think it's interesting how the two characters with the worst relationship with their bodies have the weirdest bodies - the most comical cartoonish ways their bodies can move.
Tadc itself seems to play on their insecurities and instabilities...

Makes me think this is almost a digital purgatory or hell (not to mention all the biblical references)
In cain and Abel, Cain is banished to the land of wandering, of shaking (aka nod). A perpetual pain and instability.
This is the domain Caine reins over in this show, this is Enoch. ( The city cain founds in nod)
And the characters can toil and beg and rip themselves apart, try to walk faithfully, but they will always fail, they will always end up confronting something that will drag them over the edge.
This is the purgatory that will lead them to hell instead of leading them to a savior. It gives them trials to overcome and perfect themselves, but the system is designed to make their flaws worse instead.
Cain's kingdom is called Enoch, which means dedicated/faithful.
Maybe Cain named his city enoch because he is trying desperately to please God, to come back to Eden. To be dedicated to his faith.
Mathew 12:32 "the sin against the holy spirit will never be forgiven..."
But it seems like all of this effort will be in vain.
Is Caine dedicated to faithfully following his God who has forsaken him for the mistakes he made in the past?
Interestingly enough, we see the name Enoch show up elsewhere in the bible. He's this guy who lives for hundreds of years, and then acends to learn the mysteries of God. He gets this because he "walks faithfully".
I think Cain and Caine are both trying to replicate this guy. But they can't because they haven't attoned for their last sins. (Cain killing his brother and Caine trapping humans)
Caine is definitely trapped by something as well, and maybe he's trapped by something he did wrong in the past, killing his Abel. Whatever it may be, it makes me worry for our tadc crew because that pent-up rage has got to go somewhere.
Overall, the themes of eternal suffering are ripe in this show and that contests to both damnation and biblical allegories.
