My biggest disappointment with Resident Evil Requiem is that Leon doesn’t say “groovy” when he picks up the chainsaw.

It is basically a requirement to say “groovy” when you pick up a chainsaw, Jack Baker knew that.

Funny story

So there’s a clip of Markiplier celebrating Iron Lung beating out Send Help where he exclaims “TAKE THAT SAM RAIMI!”

Fast forward to today, I went to see Iron Lung (I would’ve seen it earlier, but we waited until we visited my bro so we could all see it together. I ended up watching Send Help before we left cause I also wanted to see that). We went to a Flix Brewhouse, and I guess part of their preshow involved showing clips from different movies.

Right as we walked in, the clip that was being played…was from The Evil Dead.

Also, idk what Sam Raimi thinks of Iron Lung (or if he even knows about it, he might), but I’d wager that he’d be happy to lose to Iron Lung. I feel like The Evil Dead and Iron Lung are born from the same place of passion and determination by an indie filmmaker.

Considering Raimi was once an independent filmmaker with an underdog movie (granted, Mark has an established fanbase and a budget of several million dollars, whereas Evil Dead was made by a bunch of college kids for a couple hundred-thousand).

That’s just my thought tho, only person who knows how Sam Raimi feels about Iron Lung is Sam Raimi.

Well, turns out WE’RE WRONG!!

The costume designer for BTTF, Deborah Lynn Scott, has stated the vest is orange, meant to be reminiscent of a life vest. (Yes, I know, the running gag about Marty’s “life preserver”, but I always associated life vests with neon orange, not “burnt orange”, plus life vests can be different colors)

But like I said in one of my reblogs, not even the merch is consistent. I took a look at Marty’s models in Fortnite. Normal Marty, yea that’s orange. Lego Marty, that’s red.

Honestly, I can see the vest as both colors. This isn’t like the dress where I can only see one color (how were yall seeing white and gold?). Burnt orange is hard to distinguish from red in certain lighting. So don’t worry, you aren’t going colorblind if you voted for red.

If even Universal flip flops on the vest’s color, then the vest can be either color.

We’re gonna blame the cinematographer 🙃

How Did Doc Get Into the DeLorean for its Entrance?

I was watching the 40th anniversary retrospective that Bob Gale did* and he mentioned how nobody questioned how Doc got in the DeLorean for its grand entrance, because the gull wing doors make it impossible for him to get in while it's still in the truck.

Jokes on you, Mr. Gale, I HAVE questioned that. I made a TikTok showing off Doc's entrance as one of the best in cinema history, and at the end I comment "it's so cool that you never question how Doc got in there".

So I made a quick doodle comic of how I think that happened. (I can't draw the DeLorean but I hope the idea is clear)

*I noticed it in my movies anywhere even tho l don't own the 40th anniversary Blu-rays, so neat to know that the bonus features will update
