In isolation my imagination has run wild and this album is the result, a collection of songs and stories that flowed like a stream of consciousness. Picking up a pen was my way of escaping into fantasy, history, and memory. I’ve told these stories to the best of my ability with all the love, wonder, and whimsy they deserve. Now it’s up to you to pass them down. folklore is out now.

i think my absolute favorite part of folklore is that you can tell that it’s 100% about telling stories and not songs meant to pander to the masses.

i feel like i’m listening to a movie, a painting, a book. all i want to do is be with a few best friends and lie down and listen to it over and over, and discuss the lyrics and their meanings and share interpretations and thoughts.

it’s poetry and stories in music form - i think that taylor has always been incredibly talented and articulate, but on folklore it really shines through and it’s everything we didn’t know we needed

And the song that followed = perfection! Also unrelated but not completely; Frozen 2 got snubbed at the Oscars :)))
