What is Heresy?
I consider it heresy to call Morfydd Clark: -not a beautiful woman; -not suitable for the role of Galadriel; -a bad actress. For all this is utter nonsense, i.e. Heresy, which must be gotten rid of. As her faithful Knight, I consider it my duty to defend this Magnificent Actress, who has unearthly Beauty, and in addition to everything, is Ideal for the role of Galadriel.
solely going off the first two seasons I think it was a mistake to only mention Celeborn one (1) singular time if we're expected to feel the weight of his absence and root for his inevitable return, but now that it's done I think they should lean into it by having his "resurrection" be as unexpected and jarring for the audience as it is for Galadriel
we know that she struggles to cope with loss in a healthy way, which is understandable, seeing as death as a concept only became a thing circa 3.5 seconds ago. with Finrod she coped by pivoting straight to action and channelling her grief into a vengeance quest which subsequently stunted the grieving process and left her stewing in a pot of blind rage, BUT with Celeborn it's like she completely buried him within herself, which to me suggests that there could be a certain mystery surrounding the circumstances of his disappearance—disappearance because the word 'death' is never used, so it's not simply a lack of closure that her emotional repression is seeking to substitute, as the grieving process never started in the first place
I doubt Galadriel knows what happened to him any more than we do. the grief isn't stagnant but it can't be turned into action, so she has no other choice but to suppress him entirely, which robs the audience of those memories as well. when he comes crashing back into her life it's like someone's ripping the bandage off a weeping wound, and this new rush of information about Celeborn & their marriage to the audience happens in tandem with Galadriel being forced to process everything for the first time in centuries
Elven Diversity
So, one of the most controversial aspects of the Rings of Power series is the presence of elves of varying complexion. This greatly irritates fans of Jackson's trilogy. But let's consider whether these elves of varying complexion could have existed. And the answer lies in... Drumroll! Jackson's trilogy, and the answer is affirmative!
Let's first consider the Origin of Orcs. According to Wikipalantir [1] "According to the original version, which Christopher Tolkien took from the Annals of Aman in his Silmarillion , the origin of orcs was from elves. Melkor , even before the fall of Utumno , kidnapped lonely elves from Cuivienen and, with the help of torture and black magic, perverted their essence, giving them an ugly appearance and an evil disposition. Orcs served their master only out of fear, hating him deep down. Subsequently, Tolkien returned to this theory several times, noting the presence of elven blood in orcs as quite possible, but each time he abandoned it.
Christopher Tolkien chose the "orcs from elves" version as the most stable and less controversial, and his father repeatedly emphasized that, be that as it may, the legend of such an origin of orcs was indeed widespread among the elves. This version also became the most widespread in Tolkien adaptations (films, TV series, books, games).
Also, in [2] we can read:” The origins of orcs were explained in multiple inconsistent ways by Tolkien.[24] Early works depict them as creations of Morgoth, mimicking the forms of the Children of Ilúvatar.[24] Alternatively, as in The Silmarillion, they may have been East Elves, enslaved, tortured, and bred by Morgoth;[T 15] or, perhaps the Avari, the Elves who refused to go to Aman, turned "evil and savage in the wild”.
In the film, the concept of orcs' origin from elves was adhered to. As well as in other things in the Rings of Power - after all , Adar was once an elf, and became an uruk . And Uruk , in the Black Speech, means orc. Why can't we assume that, say, Legolas could become a light complexion orc, and Arondir - a dark complexion orc. Since orcs are descended from elves, let's look at the complexion of orcs depicted in the film. They literally come in a variety of complexion! From dark to light. Since orcs have different complexion (photos - the presence of several orcs of different complexion), then elves should also have different complexion.

Galadriel and Celeborn: My Down-to-Earth Lover
Ophelia
So, in December 2023, filming of Hamlet was completed, starring the charming Morfydd as Ophelia. I was able to see this film on May 17, 2026. Thanks to my mother for giving me a wonderful education—namely, a physics and English teacher! Why? Because I watched the film without a Russian translation. I won't recount the plot; it's plentiful online. As a member of the Morfydd Clark fandom, I'll be describing her work.
The opening scene is Hamlet's Return. Morfydd delivered a good performance—so friendly and welcoming, but there was no romance, because in this film, there is no romance between Hamlet and Ophelia. It's calm and friendly, but the script is such that it's as if they haven't seen each other for just a couple of days. And that's where the film's problems begin.
Hamlet, after learning the whole truth from his father's ghost (while still in the middle of a drug binge), comes to Ophelia and tells her what he's learned. Ophelia very convincingly portrays her sympathy, horror, and support for Hamlet. But none of this goes beyond friendship. The tragedy is clearly visible in Ophelia's eyes. Her concern for her friend. Morfydd conveys all of this very accurately.
The wedding scene. There was a very touching scene at the beginning, when Ophelia tried to somehow calm Hamlet, but Hamlet sent his Ophelia away. And here you can see how Morfydd brilliantly showed how hard it was for her to hear her Hamlet reject her. There were very precise emotions of her upset at being rejected. And these emotions were Ophelia's, not Morfydd's! It was very clearly shown that Ophelia was deeply touched by Hamlet's rejection. The script is strange, though, because there is no real romance at the very beginning.
There's no scene of Ophelia's madness here. When Hamlet acts up at the wedding itself, Ophelia sits at the table as if several rifles were pointed at her, so much nervous tension, Ophelia looks as if she's about to be executed. The tension was conveyed beautifully on screen. So composed and yet so nervous, you can tell Ophelia was under tremendous stress.
The final scene. Ophelia learns that Hamlet has killed her father. Here before us, the audience, is an ocean of grief—natural, unfeigned grief! You believe every intonation, every emotion—Ophelia is consumed by grief. And Morfydd conveyed Ophelia's grief specifically, not Juliet's (from Starved Acre). I felt so sorry for Ophelia at that moment. But the script's flaw is that it was Grief, not Madness. But Morfydd did a superb job! How subtly she conveyed all the emotions, all the feelings.
and when Galadriel sees Celeborn for the first time since centuries in s3 and Morfydd gives us the most heartbreakingly beautiful performance akin to this reaction she had here but like..AMPLIFIED…….what THEN😫

The beautiful Morfydd has given us many wonderful characters in her acting career, whether as a computer gamer, an art teacher, a pious nurse, a sharp-witted secretary, or a flighty young woman. And every character was portrayed with precision! Believe in all the characters! Morfydd is a magnificent actress!
Her image of the beautiful Galadriel will forever be etched into the annals of the Lord of the Rings universe! Miv's portrayal of Galadriel, Narwen, is truly captivating! Thank you, Milady, for giving us the beautiful Galadriel!
Happy birthday, my dear and beloved Morfydd! I wish you prosperity, love, happiness, and great roles, so that you can play the characters you'd like to play! All the best to you! May everything work out wonderfully for you! My beloved Morfydd.

Jamie: But what I can say, and what I've been saying when I've been asked this question is, I came to this project by internally asking for a space of love. You know, I thoroughly enjoyed my time on Stranger Things, and it's been fucking awesome and it has categorically changed my life but it was a lot to carry. And so I was finishing that, and I was just doing whatever it is that I do and asking for love, you know? And so when I joined the show, again I don't know why I take these videos of myself....My brother helped me with the audition for it [TROP]... And I have a video of me in the car, having just found out that I got the role, in complete tears. Because he didn't pick up the phone, so I left him a video, and I was like,
"Sam, we did it and it's amazing...."
Interviewer: And his name is Sam?! That's so Lord of The Rings coded!
Jamie: Yeah, yeah, it's true, it's true! And so, that feeling was with me throughout the process of making it. You know, I'd drive to Shepperton and I'd just kind of be like shaking my leg, being like,
"Can you believe..." (like talking to my younger self) "Can you believe this? We're here. We did this!"
And I had the best time! The crew are amazing. The cast are amazing. The world, as we know, is beautiful, and I just feel very grateful and very lucky, again, to be a part of that. It's a story that so many people know, but it's also a story that so many people hold very dear to their hearts. And, I do not profess to be an expert, but I can tell you that I thoroughly enjoyed my time on it, and I am so grateful to have been the guy who did it. Yeah."

Illogicalities in Tolkien's works

Let's begin our discussion of the illogicality in J.R.R. Tolkien's work. Take a look at the map attached to this post. This is the world of Middle-earth after the War of the Ring. Note the territories I've marked that could have become part of the kingdom of Lórien or been under its influence. These areas resemble an empire. Isn't this what Galadriel, like many of the Noldor, always longed for?
This is where the illogicality manifests itself: having gained control of most of Middle-earth, Galadriel suddenly decides to leave it along with the rest of the Elves. Recall that she initially joined Fëanor's rebellion precisely because she sought land and power. Now, having them, she declares, "I am tired, I am leaving."
What led to this decision? Why did Tolkien allow the process I called "ElfaCide" to occur, effectively wiping out almost all the Elves of Middle-earth? I will discuss this in more detail in subsequent publications.
18 months of Happiness
Today marks an important milestone for me: I meet such a wonderful woman as Morfydd Clarke. This beautiful, feminine woman has changed me. I've become interested in poetry, or rather, romantic poetry. I am, a 45-year-old man, have begun to cry again! No, not because Morfydd hurts me in any way. It's because my feelings have awakened! And this happened thanks to her, this unearthly beauty, Morfydd! Thank you, and I bow low to you, beautiful, gentle lady, Morfydd! Health, happiness, and all the best to you, my charming and beloved Morfydd!
People acting like Jamie Campbell Bower would get a meatier role as Glorfindel compared to the scenario of him playing Celeborn are so transparent. Like, I'm sorry, but we all know why you try to claim that Glorfindel is a juicier role in the Second Age.
All we know about the later version of Glorfindel's return is that he was sent by the Valar to help in the war against Sauron and that he "played a notable and heroic part in the war". That's it. We don't know anything about this heroic part, we don't have details on his connection with the rest of the characters that were involved, we don't have a mention of him in the Battle of the Last Alliance.
We have much more about Celeborn's movements in the Second Age. And sure, McPayne changed his role and they don't have the rights for the UT, but it makes sense that he'd eventually have a role to play in the war, and scenes to share with the rest of the characters with whom he canonically interacted. Moreover, Doriath and Thingol are mentioned in the appendices, so on that basis there is room to establish Celeborn's backstory even before whatever happened to him during the war. There is room to play with the show's own fabrication of wherever the hell he's been and to write for him a nuanced arc that explores his trauma. And of course there is his dynamic with Galadriel. And sure, we'll never be able to get Tolkien's version, where Artanis was so in love and felt so seen that she chose to be forever known by the name that Celeborn gave her, but there is a lot of room to explore their relationship and it will be much more emotional than whatever scenes McPayne might give Glorfindel.
And I'm not saying that Glorfindel shouldn't appear. I believe he will in due time. I hope he does and I do wish that, despite Tolkien having discarded the version of him arriving in ME with Gandalf, McPayne will pay homage to it by giving him and Gandalf interesting scenes. But his role is bound to primarily be that of a warrior who doesn't have the emotional stakes that Celeborn does.
