reiterating what toby was saying on the stream: he didn't create a bunch of new rooms to tease us, he did it to push us to explore beyond what he's given us. he wants us to take his world as a little sandbox. he wants us to be creative, to expand on it, to make our own stories. he wants us to MAKE things instead of just dissecting and obsessing over what we DON'T know.

I wish more people got this because some ‘low-empathy’ people are the most compassionate and sympathetic in the universe, and I hate it when that’s taken to mean ‘unfeeling and probably hostile’ when nothing could be further from the truth
Or, as my dad put it,
Sympathy: I know how you feel Empathy: I feel how you feel Compassion: is there anything I can do to help?
Sympathy: that sucks bro empathy: I feel that compassion: want me to send you some puppy and kitten pictures to make you feel better?
Posts like this make me feel so much better. It always seems like society treat responses to others pain as though empathy is the most important kind. I am around 85% compassionate and this post helped me not feel like I am a monster because of that for once.
Hi everyone! I have no idea if anyone who follows me still keeps up with things but I am alive! It's been a while since I have used Tumblr, but I am moving away from constantly being on TikTok haha. I have been trying to draw more but I really only got this done before my tablet decided to self-combust (but I needed a new one anyway as it was like 10 years old). Sooo a new tablet is in the works, but I was thinking...
I have a lot of new characters and stories I want to explore. Would it be good to make an ask blog here for them and their stories? I have no idea what the environment of Tumblr is right now but it seems a lot more chill than things like Instagram, DeviantArt, etc.
I am also still trying to figure out my artstyle so don't squint too hard haha. This was also done in lik 20 minutes. xD

It’s finally happened.
After almost a decade on this site, I found another Tumblr user in the wild. I stopped to tie my shoe with rainbow laces this morning outside the silversmith at Colonial Williamsburg, and I heard it.
“I like your shoelaces.”
Oh. Oh no.
I responded the only way I could. “Thanks.” And then I reluctantly added, “I stole them from the president…and if that makes sense to you, I’m very sorry.”
The poor man, in full Colonial dress, stared at me for a long moment. And then burst into laughter. And said, “I haven’t thought about that in YEARS and this has never happened to me before.”
Yeah. Me neither. Not until today.

It's fucking funny when you start to notice the "tells" of certain alters, such as speech patterns, posture, voice pitch, accent, hand gestures, ect.
Like "wait a minute... why am I fucking man spreading like a fucking clown.... oh.... oh it's him."
Able bodied neurotypicals forcing the "summer is fun" idea on everyone makes me really uncomfortable for some reason. I can't stand warmth and will literally cry in frustration when I feel greasy and sweaty and have the need to shower every few hours. Being outside without sunglasses becomes nearly impossible bc I'll literally be blinded and overwhelmed within a few minutes. The constant "you should go outside more, the weather is so nice" comments.
No. No it's not. And I hate how they don't give a shit about the comfort of disabled people in summer.
i thought my laptop was on its last leg because it was running at six billion degrees and using 100% disk space* at all times and then i turned off shadows and some other windows effects and it was immediately cured. i just did the same to my roommate's computer and its performance issues were also immediately cured. okay. i guess.
so i guess if you have creaky freezy windows 10/11 try searching "advanced system settings", go to performance settings, and uncheck "show shadows under windows" and anything else you don't want. hope that helps someone else.
*yes sorry i mean usage i posted this before bed :( i do not mean the hard drive is full aaaaghhhh

boy it would be nice to be able to google something related to personality disorders, psychosis, intellectual disabilities, autism, DID/OSDD, etcetera without finding majority articles that are like “how to deal with a person with X” “how to cope with your child with X” “how to spot someone faking X” “can people with X be cured?”
