04.05. I got my histology results back today and I got 97% which is way higher than what I aimed for. I rewarded myself with a free evening reading in the sun 🌻

Day 01/100 of productivity

I went to a coffee shop in my hometown today, it was good.

I covered some of my dermatology lectures and I’m proud of that.

I haven’t posted in a while (a month maybe) and now I’m back on track because I SIMPLY HAVE TO.

It took my new cat a while to realise that kissing the top of her head was a gesture of affection, but I think she’s finally got it.

The downside is that she now thinks the best way to signal that she wants cuddles is to come charging at me and mash the top of her head against my face. It’s like a very affectionate punch in the mouth.

Small anatomy session to wind down today, purely for enjoyment rather than anything else // had a really rough day as I’m exhausted doin this recovery shit and didn’t manage to do much gamsat prep today but trying to accept that’s where my mental state is rn and I gotta give my poor ole brain some reprieve, and time to heal a lil bit because I’ve been pushing myself too much. Lovely low light coming in thru my big windows tonight tho, absolute adore dusk. Such a liminal plane of time. Three weeks into the semester and it’s been a lot! Lots of hours in the dissecting room, working our way through fat, muscles and blood vessels, lots of hours in the library to prepare for our first practical exam in less than two weeks and lots of coffee and change and fun :)

You know that feeling when you catch yourself just being thankful for studying what you’re studying, at the university where you’re studying? Today was that kind of a day.
