A soft light streamed in through the curtains. You gently awoke to the sunās touch. You rolled in bed as if you were a cat stretching. Every muscle and joint comforted by your warm sheets. You carefully got out of bed and got ready for the morning with your usual routine. You threw on some sweats before heading downstairs for breakfast.
The Wayne family and Pam were already eating when you arrived.Ā
āGood morning,ā you greeted. Everyone around the table echoed similar greetings as you grabbed a seat next to Pam and fixed yourself a plate.Ā
āMaster Y/n, I was just telling Pam that the police have decided to give you a personal security detail. It wonāt be anything too excessive. They will be watching the manor in shifts nearby,ā Bruce explained.Ā
āThank you for letting me know. Do you happen to know if there are any updates on the stalker?ā You asked. Having security close by kept you at ease, but you knew you wouldnāt be able to fully relax until this was all put behind you.Ā
āNot yet, but I know that the police are working tirelessly,ā Bruce tried to reassure you.Ā
You nodded and went back to eating your breakfast.Ā
One by one everyone excused themselves: first it was Bruce, who had to go to work, then it was Tim, he had school, then it was Jason, who was going on a run.Ā
Pam lingered behind after eating. She questioned softly, āHow are you feeling?ā
āIām doing okay. I had another nightmare.ā
Pam sighed, then placed a hand on your shoulder, āItās gonna be okay. This wonāt last, then youāre going to take a long well deserved rest and vacation.ā
You smiled gently, āThanks Pam. You know, you also need to rest too.ā
Pam chuckled, āI only relax when you do.ā
āSo never?ā You joked.Ā
āRight.ā
You both laughed before getting up from the table.Ā
āI think Iām going to rehearse a few numbers. Itāll help keep my mind off things.ā
āOf course. Practice for the tour, to keep your mind off of the postponed tour,ā Pam remarked sarcastically. āWell donāt work too hard. I donāt need more to worry about.ā
āDonāt worry, I wonāt. I just need to find Alfred. He said heād show me where I can rehearse.ā
As if you spoke him into existence, Alfred poked his head into the dining room. āI didnāt forget Master Y/n. Come this way.ā
Alfred led you to a large gymnasium. There were moments you underestimated how wealthy the Wayneās were until you were reminded of what filthy rich truly means. One of the walls was covered in mirrors alongside gymnastics equipment, treadmills, ellipticals, weights, and other standard gym equipment.Ā
āPlease let me know if you need anything,ā Alfred politely bowed.Ā
āThank you Alfred, you have been more than helpful. I appreciate it.āĀ
You made some space by the mirrors and began stretching. You felt every muscle in your leg as you lunged. You leaned into the tightness in every tendon. Stretching was practically your favorite part. Something satisfying about how your body melted into every motion.Ā
After stretching for some while, you placed your phone behind you and put on āEverā. The song was moody and the choreo pressed into that mysterious almost supernatural energy. Each movement flowed through into the next. Your limbs became a full extension of your body and you even had an exact control of how your fingers bent. Somehow you made looking messy effortless as you crawled across the floor; your legs extending into lines.Ā
When the song ended, you could feel your chest growing heavy with every breath, the sweat collected on your forehead and in every other crevice of your body. You closed your eyes and the next song of your set played, āIāll Take Itā. You retraced the steps in your head before getting up and continuing the choreo. During this song, youād jump around the stage, trying to interact with every fan you could see. You practiced saying hi and waving to the crowd. You knew it was silly, but if you did it enough it would become muscle memory. āIāll Take Itā usually would lead into āWhat's The Time Where You Are?ā Youād use this song to catch your breath and slink around the stage with a large coat like a proper popstar. There were back up dancers who would be doing their own thing, but you technically didnāt have any official choreography.Ā
Instead of a large coat, you haphazardly draped a towel from one of the cubbies by the weights. You tried swinging the hanging end in a circle, but only laughed at the poor attempt. From the doorway, you heard someone laughing and immediately turned your head in that direction to find Jason leaning against the frame. His arms crossed and based on his outfit it seemed that he had just finished his run. You quickly went to pause your music.Ā
āIām sorry you had to see that,ā You said in between laughs and deep breaths.Ā
āWhy apologize? I was enjoying the performance.ā He teased.Ā
āWell, usually people buy tickets to see me, so Iām glad you liked it for free.āĀ
āIf thatās what you do for free then I really should just pay you know.ā He said before walking further into the gym. āI didnāt mean to lurk. I thought the gym was empty. I like to do arms after a run.ā
āNo worries. This is your home after all. I just needed some normalcy, you know.ā
āAnd dancing is your normal?ā Jason questioned as he began setting up the weights by the bench.Ā
āNot dancing in particular, but more performing, practicing. Everything else around me eases and all there is me, the music, and the crowd.ā You said sitting down on the floor, stretching once more.Ā
āYou seemed to be enjoying yourself from what I could tell.ā Jason positioned himself on the bench, ready to lift them. From this angle you could see his profile and his arms as they bent. You noticed the way veins in his forearms as he breezed through a few reps with a grunt every now and then.
āAnd how long did you happen to be watching?ā You asked as you tried to focus on stretching and not stare.Ā
He laughed lightly as he continued lifting the weights, āSince you started.ā
You immediately folded over. Your hands cover your face in embarrassment. āYouāre joking.ā
āNope. I even saw you practice waving, which I didnāt expect. I imagined you were used to the whole thing.ā
You heard a clink from the bench and looked up to see Jason getting up to place new weights on the bar. āI just like rehearsing so it feels natural in the moment and this way I can see how it looks.ā
āHave you always been so hyper aware of how you look?ā Jason pressed and then went back to lifting weights.Ā
You fully laid down on the floor, staring at the overhead lights, āOn stage, yes. I mean thereās a huge screen with my face on it. When it comes to paparazzi and all that, I donāt care as much. Iām sure you can relate to all of that considering your fatherās popularity.ā You sat up slightly, placing your weight on your elbows and forearms as you leaned back.Ā
Jason grunted more as he lowered the bar to his chest to then extend it forward. This time he was going slower than before. āIāve never been concerned about that stuff. Bruceās business is his business, you knowā¦ā He paused, then placed the bar back on the rack, ābut that doesnāt stop people from making a spectacle out of nothing. The paparazzi thinks I have a reputation and no matter what I do it will always become a thing for a week, then theyāll all move on before we do it all over again.ā Jason looked over towards you and you could see the sweat leaking through his clothes on his chest.Ā
You grew a little self-conscious of your sweat and sat up, āI get what you mean. Itās all quite exhausting. I did hear about your reputation before coming to Gotham.ā
Jason closed his eyes and sighed a bit in defeat.Ā
āBut,ā you continued, āYouāre nothing like what they say online and honestly I think āaloof and rebellious middle childā is better than what they say about Bruce. The public couldnāt make a full opinion on him if they tried.ā
Jason chuckled, āI guess so. He does have it a little worse in that regard.ā
āSorry if Iāve been distracting you from your workout.ā You fidgeted with the hem of your pants as you sat with your legs crossed.Ā
āI should be saying that to you, considering you were here first.ā
āWell, if you continue working out then Iāll go back to rehearsing. No more talking. I think thatāll work as long as you donāt mind my music.ā
āThatās fine by me.ā Jason carried on with his workout, every now and then his eyes would glance in your direction. He watched your reflection as you rolled your body to the music.Ā
You didnāt seem to notice Jasonās eyes. You focused on the rhythm playing from your phone and the next steps in the choreography. But on occasion youād look at Jason and his current workout. He had moved on from the weights and went onto the chest fly machine. This time he sat facing towards the mirrors.Ā His arms were parallel with his face while heād move them from in front of his face then to his sidesāas if opening and closing.Ā
You had a direct view of his biceps. You paid attention to how theyād peek and protrude from his shirt like they were taunting you or something. This was dangerous. You prayed he didnāt catch you looking for too long. It was just distracting the way you could hear him huff in time with the music. The way his arms were almost the size of your face. The way he made it look so easy lifting all of those weights. It wasnāt fair, really.Ā
After another thirty minutes of working out togetherābut not togetherāyou used the towel you previously used as a boa to wipe the sweat from your face and sat down. Somehow Jason made sweating attractive too. His muscles glistened from sweat and the reflection from the overhead lights. His skin looked more like a glazed donut than actual skin, while you felt like somebody dumped a bucket of dirty dish water all over you. You had to get out of here.Ā
Jason eyed that you were done rehearsing and finished his workout as well. He also grabbed a towel and threw it around his neck. As Jason started walking towards you, you quicklyĀ stood up.Ā
āIām going to go take a shower. Iām feeling a little gross right now,ā you said trying to maintain distance, so he couldnāt notice your copious amounts of sweat.Ā
āNo worries. I was going to do the same.ā Jason smiled as he spoke. He wiped his forehead with the end of the towel.Ā
Ā āIāll see you around. Thanks for keeping me company again,ā You left with a small smile on your face. As you were leaving you turned to look at Jason one more time, meeting his eyes as he was also smiling. At that moment, you couldnāt feel your heart. It was as if your heart left the room faster than you could and now you were chasing it until you got to the bathroom. Any warmth from workout traveled straight to your face as the rest of your body was covered with chills. You quickly escaped to the shower.Ā
ā
Jason watched as you quickly left the room. Maybe he smelled worse than he thought. He too b-lined for the shower. Since youāve been here, Jason thought of how often you ran into each other, āI mean I know theyāre staying here, but itās not like this place is small.ā Itās not that he hated it. Rather, he enjoyed the coincidences and conversations. You were refreshing compared to everyone else in the manor. He was hoping for more coincidences.Ā
After showering, Jason searched for Bruce in the batcave. He was at his desk, reading over files.Ā
āAny updates on the stalker case?ā Jason leaned against Bruceās desk eyeing the papers.Ā
āIt seems like it could be more complicated than just a stalker, but itās too early to tell. I have a lead I plan on checking out,ā Bruce rubbed his head in frustration before handing you a photos of different locations. They were annotated with circles, arrows, and scribbles in the margins. āBased on the call, I was able to triangulate a few possibilities of where the stalker could be operating out of.ā
āI can check out the warehouse near the docks,ā Jason volunteered.Ā
āThis is purely recon. If there is a situation, donāt engage. We donāt want the stalker to escalate,ā Bruce spoke firmly, almost accusing Jason.Ā
Jason jokingly lifted his hands in defense, āHey, Iām all about discretion. I want Y/n safe too.ā
Bruce raised his eyebrows to question Jason, āIām sure you do. Alfred told me about you two working out together.ā
āJesus, that was just earlier today. You guys need to calm down with the monitoring. It reaches a point,ā Jason paused and took a breath, ābut at the same time Y/nās safety needs to be guaranteed. Just keep me out of itāĀ
āOf course, Master Jason. Though I must say, if you keep meeting with Master Y/n then naturally youāll be monitored as well,ā Alfred entered the room with a tray of snacks that he placed on Bruceās desk.
āIt hasnāt been that often.ā
Bruce and Alfred did not speak, but exchanged a look.Ā
āThink whatever you want. Iām going to suit up and do my job,ā Jason rolled his eyes and gathered his things before he went back to his apartment.Ā
Later that evening, after casing the area of the warehouse, Jason, now wearing his Red Hood suit, climbed to a higher vantage point. The street was mostly abandoned with sounds of rushing cars slamming the pavement and nearby the calls of seagulls echoing. The lamplight flickered above Jason as he found the nearest open window. Jason mounted the ceiling beams and surveyed the warehouse. There only seemed to be boxes and crates, except for a birdcage on the ground that sat under light that streamed in from a broken ceiling window. Jason carefully descended onto a crate, to which he scaled down and approached the cage. It was white with ornate spiral details and small enough to hold only one parakeet. Jason photographed the empty cage and sent it to Bruce.Ā
āI was expecting larger prey.ā A large man emerged from the shadows in all black and a ski mask holding a sledge hammer.Ā
āLike a bat?ā Jason grumbled.Ā Ā
āMaybe, but youāll do just fine.ā The man lunged at Jason with the hammer.Ā
ā
You couldnāt sleep again. Tonight you didnāt really try. You couldnāt stop thinking about Jason. He left in the middle of the day and you hadnāt seen him since. Alfred said he had work to do. Without Jason around, you were bored. There was only so much you could do alone without growing tired, but apparently not tired enough to sleep. It was approaching 1:00 AM when you heard noises downstairs. Your heart jumped and you instinctively grabbed the nearest object, your journal. At this point, sleep wasnāt an option. If you stayed in bed that would only keep you longer simply from fear alone. If it was just creaking from an old mansion, then fine, and if it was something else youād rather confront it. You were done with being paralyzed by fear. You held your journal like a weapon and quietly neared the kitchen.Ā
From the hallway, you could see a small stream of light coming from what you could guess was the fridge. Unintentionally, you released the breath you were holding in and relaxed your posture. Since you were already up you decided to indulge in some milk and cookies. You thought that could help you sleep and maybe youād see Jason again.Ā
āWe got to stop meeting like this.ā Jason joked when he saw you entering the kitchen. He was standing in front of the fridge, wearing a tank top and sweat pants. His shoulder was wrapped in a bandage with smaller bandages scattered across his other arm.Ā
You smiled and laughed softly, āI heard noises and got worried you were some criminal. So actually Iām glad weāre meeting again like this.ā
āAnd were you expecting to fight a criminal with what? Your emotional maturity?ā Jason asked sarcastically, while gesturing to your journal.
āHa ha,ā You replied dryly. āIt was the closest thing. And actually itās a bit heavier than youād think.ā
Jason reached for the milk on the door of the fridge and winced when he extended his arm.
āI wasnāt going to ask about the bandages, but you okay?ā You grabbed the milk for Jason and gestured your head toward the stools.Ā
āThanks. You know, just an occupational hazard. Sometimes I also overdue it when Iām working out.ā Jason said vaguely. He quickly grabbed cookies from the counter before you could ask another question.Ā
You squinted at Jason, trying to read him. Though he wasnāt giving you much. You placed a glass of milk in front of him and he smiled at you with cheeks full of cookies. You sat down in the stool next to him and watched Jason take a long sip of milk.Ā
He then said softly, āFor all itās worth, Iām sorry I woke up. Didnāt mean to scare you.ā
You shook your head at his words, āNo no itās fine. If it wasnāt you, then it wouldāve been something else. This was a happy coincidence.ā
He looked down and smiled to himself. You both sat in silence for a little longer. You sneaked glances at Jason bandages wondering what he couldāve done to hurt himself. His arms were riddled with plenty of other scars. You examined them as if they were a pattern across his skin. Obviously you didnāt want to pry and he didnāt seem to want to answer any questions. Sometimes you forget you barely know each other.Ā
āThe pain isnāt as bad as youād think.ā Jason interrupted your thoughts. He didnāt look at you as he spoke, instead staring straight ahead.Ā
āDo you get hurt often?ā You eyed his face and noticed the scar by his eyebrow. You donāt know how you didnāt notice the large gash that once lived across his cheek. You could tell it was an older scar from the fading. Your body naturally leaned more towards him the longer you stared.Ā
Jason didnāt seem to notice how close you were to him until he turned back to you. As your eyes met, his shadow overtook you, reminding you of the previous night and conversation that evening. With the way he was slouching in his seat, your faces were inches apart. Yet, you could infinity in those few inches.Ā
Jason turned back around and continued watching the wall ahead of him, āItās not that big of a deal. Iām used to it.ā
You reached your hand out to Jasonās hand that rested on the counter, āWell I donāt mind offering you a bandaid or two if you ever need one.ā
He once again looked at you, still as close as before. He tilted his head to the side and scanned you with a small smile, āNext time youāre in Gotham Iāll be sure to take you up on that offer.āĀ
Jason then slowly retracted his hand and stood up from the stool, āThanks again for keeping me company this time. Youāre really good at thatāmaking people feel comfortable.āĀ
You turned your body to face him. Now it was your turn to tell him, āWell Iāll be here for all your late night troubles.āĀ
He chuckled and took a step closer to you. You could smell amber, clove, and the faintest hint of gasoline radiating from his body. He placed his hands on either side of your face. You hoped he didnāt feel the heat permeating on your cheeks. You could practically fry eggs on your skin from the fever he induced. As Jason leaned in you felt everything around you began to slow down. You could sense every nerve in your body on edge; a knot spanning your entire being until Jason tilted your head down. He placed a gentle kiss on your forehead and whispered, āGood night.āĀ
You remained in the same position until he was in the doorway when you reciprocated, āGood night, Jason.ā
You grazed the spot with your fingers. A tender burning remained where he kissed you. Somehow you felt a distance between you larger than infinity.Ā
A/N: Sorry this took so long. I genuinely had most of it written then forget to finish it ??? My bad guys. Might do a part 3 but I don't want to commit to anything and make y'all wait another six months....

Breaking News: Concert in Gotham Cancelled after Bomb Threats Threats of explosive devices planted at Gotham Stadium force the up-incoming star, Y/n L/n, to postpone performance. Reports say-
Bruce promptly turns off the television. āGordon says they donāt have any leads on the threats.ā
āDo you think theyāre credible? I mean what if itās just a prank?ā Dick asks, leaning against the wall of the Batcave with one leg propped up.
āIn Gotham? Donāt be gullible. This isnāt the first time L/n has received threats not only against their life but for concerts too. It could be a stalker situation,ā Tim says as he pulls up other reports of similar incidents.Ā
āThatās not uncommon for celebrities, so why the big deal,ā Jason brushes off with his arms crossed. āI mean why not amp up security. Arenāt there more important cases?ā He begins to walk down the large staircase descending into the cave.Ā
The hideout is massive with gadgets lining the walls and a massive screen with a console against the north wall. Thereās a long table in the center with plenty of chairs to seat the Wayneās family long nights of working cases. Tim is sitting at his habitat, a nearby desk covered with marked papers and coffee rings.
Bruce walks over to the center console. āBecause this time seems more personal,ā Bruce plays a recording from a phone call.Ā
Try to sing your melody songbird. Iāll clip your wings if you try to leave your cage. Your trills are only meant for my ears. My songbird.Ā
A faint music box can be heard in the background of the call with a ticking sound growing louder. The callerās song-like threat turns into a distant chuckle.Ā
āTimās stalker theory is the most likely. The caller is obsessed and possessive. It seems theyāve adopted the āIf I canāt have you no one canā mentality. It would then be safe to assume the stalker has Y/nās location as well,ā Bruce says before grabbing his phone.
āHowād you even find this recording?ā Dick asks.
Bruce doesnāt answer. The three exchange glances and shrugs as they watch Bruce make a phone call.Ā
āIāll start trying to break apart the recording to see if thereās anything that can pinpoint the caller or their location,ā Tim walks over to a computer and begins to type away.Ā
āEven if the GPD are surveilling their location, theyāre still compromised. Whoās to say the stalker isnāt already there, watching too?ā Jason questions to Dick.Ā
āI thought you said there were more important cases?ā Dick prods. His question, laced with sarcasm and teasing.Ā
āI think this case just got more interesting. Thatās all,ā Jason replied casually.
āHe means he just realized how hot Y/n is,ā Tim jokes.Ā
āDonāt you have something to decipher or whatever,ā Jason says annoyed rolling his
eyes.Ā
Bruce rejoins the conversation. āY/n is being relocated to somewhere safe.ā
āWhere?ā Dick asks.
āHere.āĀ
ā
You were anxiously pacing your hotel room. It was a large suite with your things scattered about every surface.Ā
āThe police have been informed about the call. Iām sure theyāre handling the situation,ā Your manager, Pam, tries to reassure you as she tries to clean up and organize your bags.
āI canāt believe we had to cancel. This is ridiculous. I donāt want to stay in this hotel room forever,ā You say while picking at your nails. Your voice is slightly weak from touring and pure frustration.
āYou heard the call. It sounded serious. You can be in real danger. I donāt want to take any chances even if it means losing ticket sales,ā She replies with one hand on your shoulder. āThe label and I want to make sure you're safe above everything.Ā
You sigh, closing your eyes with another deep breath. You walk over to your bed, letting your body sink into the sheets. You hear Pam say āRelax, let me handle everything.ā Your head on autopilot only nodding her direction.Ā
Pam pulls on the room divider while sheās on the phone leaving you to your thoughts. Your mind is blank as you try to make sense of the situation. You grab your journal that you had tossed onto your bed earlier that day. The journal is in your favorite color, personalized. Itās always been there for you to rationalize your feelings and a place for you to vent. The words you try to write morph into scribbles as your knuckle tighten around the pen. You press harder into the paper with each stroke leaving indents until you rip the paper. You take another breath not processing how much air you had been holding in. Your vision blurries with tears as you tear the page from your notebook. Between tears and deep inhales, you start writing again:
I suffocate myself with hands that arenāt mine Hold onto meĀ Poked and prodded, I remain confined I tear apart what I build with every word Please steady me Plucked and preversed, a songbird dies
Barely reading over what you wrote, you place your pen into your notebook, marking the page before you place it back on the bed.Ā
Pam reenters the room seemingly more cheerful than before. āPack your things, Y/n! Weāre leaving.ā
āWhat?! What about the postponed concert? We canāt just leave Gotham. And the stalker?ā You rise from your seat panicked and confused.Ā
āDonāt worry weāre not leaving. Itās just a slight change of plans while they investigate the case,ā Pam eases you. āAnd I think youāll like these living arrangements more.ā
ā
Jason watched from his window a limousine drive up to the Manor. He scoffed at the notion of Bruce Wayne opening his arms to another victim. His generosity sometimes feeling like a sick joke. Jason grabbed his phone, pulling up his tab on Y/n. It would be a lie to say he wasnāt curious about you. Tim was half right about his interest in the case being tied to you but heād never say to Timās face. Any information he found out about was solely for the betterment of the investigation and purely professional, even the songs of yours he listened to.Ā
The men debriefed the case before your arrival. Bruceās hospitality was just a way to protect your whereabouts and keep an eye on you. This made Bruceās actions seem so selfless as a Gotham citizen lowering the drawbridge. The mansion was already covered in cameras, so they didnāt have to worry about your safety in that regard.
Jason left the window to leave for patrol with Nightwing. While youād be getting comfortable in the mansion. The two were going to follow the leads Tim and Barbara found. Babs was called in to help by Tim, considering she had a better sense for those kinds of things.Ā
Alfred and Bruce greeted you and your manager, Alfred promptly grabbing your bags.Ā
āWelcome to Wayne Manor, Master Y/n and Miss Pam,ā Alfred said with a small smile.Ā
āThis is Alfred. He takes care of the estate and can help you with any questions or concerns. Iām sure this wasnāt how you imagined your time in Gotham, but we hope you can make yourselves comfortable with this difficult time,ā Bruce said sincerely.Ā
āThank you Mr. Wayne for opening your home for us,ā Pam replied with exhaustion.Ā
āYes, thank you so much,ā You repeated softly.Ā Ā
āOf course. Alfred will lead you to your rooms. I have some business to attend to,ā Just as quickly as he spoke, Bruce left the manor towards what Alfred later mentioned was the garage.Ā
Alfred guided you two throughout the manorās main common areas. Finally reaching your bedrooms. Compared to the rest of the mansion, it was just as extravagant as you expected. The room was a deep shade of red with cream accents and bookshelves that adorned the walls. The bed looked relatively untouched as if no guest had ever slept in it. Your hotel suite was a shoebox, look at your room now. There were chairs and a coffee table by the window that overlooked the neighboring forest. Every decoration seemingly meticulously curated, reminding you of a Victorian library. Even the smell with a mixture of sunlight and an antique store, inviting you in.Ā
āWeāll be serving dinner in ten minutes, Master Y/n,ā Alfred said while leaving your bags by the door.Ā
āThank you Alfred. But before you leave I was wondering if there was a gym space I could use to rehearse.ā
āOf course, I can show you tomorrow morning after breakfast.ā
āGreat, thank you again!ā You smiled with your response before starting to unpack your bags.Ā
Alfred nodded and closed the door gently as he left. You didnāt unpack much, except for your toiletries and your journal. You spent the remaining minutes before dinner to explore your room more, examining the fixtures. You knew if you were younger youād be imagining if there were any secret corridors or closets as if it were Narnia.Ā
When enough time passed you went downstairs to join everyone for dinner. By everyone it was only you, Pam, and one of Bruceās children. The kid seemed to be a teenager with short dark brown hair that reached his eyebrows. You knew of the Wayne family and their philanthropy. You also had heard of Bruceās affinity for adoption and knew of his sons.Ā
āItās nice to officially meet you, Y/n. Iām Tim Drake,ā He stuck his hand to shake yours. You smiled politely and shook his hand.Ā
āThanks for having us!āĀ
Dinner itself was enjoyable. You and Pam shared stories from touring and the funny signs fans wrote for you, while Tim spoke about silly shenanigans with his brothers, Dick and Jason.Ā Alfred joined you towards the end of dinner, chiming in with laughter and correcting any exaggerations of Timās stories. Time wasnāt a priority as you enjoyed each othersā company.Ā
āSo whereās the rest of the family?ā Pam asked.
āOh you know, Bruce is always busy with the family business and charity work. Dick and Jason are always coming in and out. They moved out some time ago, but theyāll stick around for a few days before leaving.ā Tim smiled to himself before sipping his water.
āThat must be nice being able to see them every now and then,ā You couldnāt help but feel a little bad for Tim being in a large house by himself so often.
āYeah, but thereās always something to do around here, so I keep myself busy,ā Tim added when in a few rooms over you could hear a door slamming and closing then heavy footsteps getting louder.Ā
āAlfred, please tell me Tim left some food for the rest of us,ā A man loudly says before entering the kitchen. His voice is slightly raspy and deep, different from Bruceās.Ā
āMaster Jason, we are eating in the dining room along with our guests.ā
You can hear the fridge door close and a muffled āOhā as Jason enters the room. You immediately notice the white streak in his hair and scar on his face. He looked similar to Bruce with strong eyebrows and an intense gaze. He walks over to the table, leaning ontoĀ an empty chair in front of him, wearing black sweat pants and a white t-shirt.Ā
āHi, Iām Jason. You must be Y/n and Pam.āĀ
āHi, nice to meet you!āĀ
āYes, nice to meet you.ā
āWill you be joining us, Master Jason?ā Alfred got up from the table and began setting a plate for Jason in the kitchen.Ā
āNot for long. I just want something to eat. I can take it up to my room. Itās been a long night,ā Jason says following Alfred.Ā
āYou know you shouldnāt be taking food into your room.ā
āBruce doesnāt need to know.ā
āThatās my rule, not Master Bruceās.ā
You could hear a groan before Jason entered the dining room again, but he was now holding a plate of food with a slight frown on his face. He didnāt say much as he sat and stuffed his face with a quickness that made you wonder how he didnāt choke.Ā
āJason, can you not be a pig for two seconds?ā Tim asked sarcastically with a disgusted look on his face.Ā
You laughed softly through your nose, watching the two exchange playful glares.Ā
Jason started chewing loudly smacking his teeth.Ā
āGross. Youāre only embarrassing yourself. Iām sorry about him.āĀ
āDonāt worry. Itās all a little funny.ā You said between stifled chuckles.
āSee, they think Iām funny,ā Jason replied with a smirk and raising his brows at Tim as if it were a challenge.Ā
āYou need to learn the difference between laughing at someone and laughing with,ā Tim retorted while rolling his eyes.Ā
āAnd you should learn how to not be such a smartass,ā Jason replied.Ā
Alfred stuck his head out the kitchen, āAre you boys being polite in front of our guests?ā
With one question, the two quieted. You took this as a sign to wash up and get ready for bed.Ā
āThank you for an eventful first day, but I think I should go rest up,ā You said while getting up from your seat.Ā
āI think Y/nās right. Thank you for dinner, good night everyone,ā Pam added.
āYes, good night everyone!ā You said before leaving the room.
The men wished you both a good night.Ā
You quickly showered, washing off the day, barely letting the water fully overtake you. You werenāt in the mood for a long relaxing shower, rather it was more like it was something you wanted to get over with. The same went with your other nighttime routines: brushing your teeth, washing your face, and moisturizing. It all passed as if your body wasnāt in control until you collapsed on your bed. You werenāt even under the covers for more than ten minutes before you were fast asleep.Ā
Deep in slumber, you saw yourself outside of your body in a dark endless room. A sound grew louder, the phone call repeating from your stalker. There was nowhere to run. Each word stinging your skin and the shadows closing in. Your throat tightening with every breath until you were gasping for air clawing your hands at an intangible void as you watched yourself flail trying to regain control of your body.Ā
Suddenly, you force yourself awake. Your eyes scan the room, remembering youāre not in your bedāyou havenāt been in your own bed for some time. This wasnāt the first nightmare you had on tour and you doubted it would be your last.Ā
You tried to stabilize yourself with deep inhales, but that wasnāt enough. You werenāt going to be able to sleep now. To clear your head, you throw on a robe, grab your journal, and head to the kitchen for water. You quietly made your way downstairs to find that you werenāt the only one who couldnāt sleep.Ā
āOhāhey,ā Jason looks up at you as you enter the kitchen. You smiled to yourself as you noted that he was at the counter drinking milk and cookies.
ā...Hey,ā You replied awkwardly as you tried to quickly get your water.Ā
You were about to leave the kitchen with your drink when Jason said, āAlfredās gonna be pissed if he finds out you took something from his kitchen to your room.ā
āRight. I forgot about that,ā You felt even more awkward than before.Ā
āI would say that I wouldnāt snitch, but Alfred always finds out,ā Jason joked. āI can leave the kitchen if you want to be alone. Thereās a lot of quiet places around here.ā
āNo, no, don't leave. It's okay,ā You assured him. āI just needed some water.ā
āThen whatās with the journal?ā He motioned with his head towards your notebook.
āAhh well when I canāt sleep, sometimes writing helps.ā
āYou an insomniac too?āĀ Ā
āNot really, just had a nightmare. But Iām guessing you are, considering the milk and cookies. All youāre missing is a bedtime story and a lullaby,ā You taunted.Ā
āYou know that doesnāt sound too bad. You offering to sing me to sleep?ā He cocked his head to the side as he asked his question.Ā
You chuckled, āNot without a price.ā
āHow about some cookies and milk?ā He pushed the plate towards you.
āSounds like a deal,ā You said, grabbing a cookie.Ā
āTake a seat. Iāll get you some milk,ā He directed, then got up from his seat to get your drink.Ā
You promptly finished your water, then sat on the stool one seat over from where Jason sat. You were conscious of your every word and action, but you werenāt anxious in the same way when you awoke from your nightmare.Ā
āSo do you usually get nightmares?ā
āNot often, but when Iām on tour they can happen more frequently.āĀ
Jason gently placed the cup next to you before sitting down. His body was completely turned to face you as you spoke.Ā
āConsidering recent events, Iām not surprised I got a nightmare, but itās like Iāll never be used to it.ā
āYeah, that feeling of your heart pounding against your ribcage while the rest of your body tries to catch up. Itās hard to adjust to. At this point, I think I got insomnia to avoid the nightmares.ā
āThatās reassuring,ā You joked, dipping your cookie into the milk before taking a bite. āI canāt afford not sleeping, especially while Iām on tour. Thatās why I have the journal. It helps me rationalize what Iām feeling and sometimes I get some inspiration for songs too. Maybe itāll help you.ā
āIāve tried a lot of stuff, but nothing really calms me down like warm milk and cookies.ā
āI guess thatās fair.ā You two sat in silence for a beat, eating from the pile of cookies until it was finished. āI assume I owe you a song now.ā
āNah I think Iāll hold onto that and cash it in later,ā Jason said with a smile.Ā
āDonāt make me nervous, now.ā
He laughed to himself then stood up. It wasnāt until now that you realized how he towered over you. His entire body engulfed you. His shoulders. His torso. All left you in a shadow as you looked up at him. āDonāt worry. Talking to you was enough to put me at ease.ā
You looked slightly offended at his comment, which he registered immediately.
āWhat I mean was it was nice talking to you. Sorry that came out wrong,ā He corrected while rubbing the back of his neck in slight embarrassment.Ā
You smiled, āThatās a relief.ā You stood up facing him. The distance between you only a stool wide, but Jason slightly leaning over the edge of the imaginary line drawn by the stoolās presence. āIt was nice talking to you. Thanks for the company.ā You stare into his eyes, admiring every stray hair and eyelash, how his hair grazed his eyebrows.Ā
He maintained eye contact, noticing how your eyes reflected the soft light coming from outside and how it warmed your reflection. āWell Iāll be here for all your late night troubles. Just say the word.ā

Might do a part 3 but I don't want to commit to anything and make y'all wait another six months....
deadass feel like the ācan you hear me? can you hear me or see me? can you see me or hear me?ā bc of my last postā¦.

The way he looked down at you in the Emergency Department made you feel so small. You could imagine how he could grip your face: squeezing your cheeks like he was meant to play with you; like clay. His demeanor made you seem like something almost insignificant but able to keep his attention until he got bored. You didnāt mind though. Sometimes heād need to blow off steam from his shift and you were available. This wouldnāt be the first time he used you like this and sure there were others ways you could spend your evening but something about the way Jack treated you like you were always available for him and only him made it worth it.
After a while you developed a way of knowing when Jack needed you. Heād glance at you with furrowed brows and his head titled as his eyes scanned your body. Once your shift was over you both had to be discreet about leaving together but not together. The car ride to his apartment was often mundane as youād debrief the shift casually. Maybe mentioning an annoying patient here and there. Abbot wasnāt too keen on bringing more work into your ārelationship,ā something about compartmentalizing, which you thought was ironic considering the work horse behind the wheel. But you never dared to mention it, you were always a little worried about spoiling the mood like this was all too good to be true like somehow if you said the wrong thing heād no longer be interested. though at the same time you enjoyed this different side of Dr. Abbot: the more deliberate, unprofessional side of Jack.
At his apartment you hardly got a second to put down your things before he had you against the door. He pressed his body against yours as youād feel his weight pushing you down like you can barely stand on your own; knees practically bucking while Jack kissed and sucked at your neck. One hand pulling your neck towards him and the other searching for your bare skin under your scrubs. His mouth soon found yours and he continued to ravage your mouth. he held your face tightly as he bit at your bottom lip. With your cheeks in his hands he pushed you down to your knees. You wasted no time and pulled at his pants and underwear, only for his cock to caress your face. You look up at Jack, a smile across his face.
āYouāre such a good girl. Iāll never get tired of seeing you like this. So eager. So obedient.ā
You held his cock in your hand and rubbed it lightly against your cheek, teasing Jack before taking him into your mouth. When you do he audibly groans, releasing the tension in his body. you start slow, twirling your tongue on his tip. then you take more into your mouth, lapping it up. taking it out of your mouth every few seconds to lick up the sides of his cock like a lollipop and catching Jack's eyes as he watches you intensely with baited breath. He has that look again like heās holding back every part of him that wants to eat you alive. You continue going down on Jack, now moving faster as you take his whole cock into your mouth. Your jaw grows achy and your mouth is drooling when you feel hands on the back of your head pushing you faster on Jack's cock. Each time it hits the back of your throat your eyes begin to water.
āYou look so cute when you cry,ā He says between groans.
Your tears begin to mix with the drool, pooling at Jackās cock as he moves faster. You could barely feel your jaw with every thrust but you didnāt care. Your eyes could barely stay open, and your heart was racing while Jack made use of your mouth. Before he could cum, Jack ripped your face from his crotch and carried you to his bedroom. Your wet limp face rested in his neck before he threw you onto his bed. Jack began taking off his prosthetic and his shirt as you watched him, breathless.
For a man his age he was so fit. even his scrubs couldnāt hide his muscles. Shit, they practically accentuated his biceps. But Jack was a different animal outside of the emergency department. He ran the night shift like a well oiled machine; with discipline and compassion.
But here in front of you he was a literal animal, licking his lips at the sight of your body. You were still fully clothed but you felt so naked with eyes undressing you. He watched you squirm under his gaze, finding amusement in your fidgeting, āTake off your clothes, slowly,ā he said in a low voice taking a seat on the edge of his bed.
You listened and began peeling off your scrubs starting with your shirt. The silence in the room was palpable with every rustle of fabric. Jack's eyes did not leave your body, in fact, he stared more the less you were wearing and you watched as his gaze remained transfixed on your every movement. How you delicately let each strap of your bra fall past your shoulder and how your fingers graze your skin. Jack didnāt even have to touch you for you to be a mess. His stare was enough for your underwear to be sopping wet and he knew that. In a way, he was proud of himself seeing the kind of effect he had on you when he saw how wet your panties truly were. It wasnāt until you were fully naked when Jack approached you. He slowly moved towards you like if he made any sudden movements heād scare you away.
āSpread your legs for me.ā
You hesitantly opened your legs. It wasnāt like you hadnāt been naked in front of Jack, but the way he watched you made you feel embarrassed. Though you followed Jackās command you tried your best to hide your sex to maintain some level of dignity, but Jack, obviously, didnāt care about that.
āI said spread your legs,ā He waited until you finally spread your legs to touch your thighs. His touch sending shivers straight to your pussy. You could barely breathe. Everything he was doing was driving you more insane. Tonight was different. He didnāt take his time like this. Usually, youād already be bent over with his fingers tangled in your mouth while heād thrust with a rhythm you could barely keep up with. But this time it was like he was savoring every second.
He traced his fingers up your thighs to your waist. He kissed every divot in your skin and made sure to keep his eyes locked with yours. Your hands met his hair and you ran your fingers through his silver curls as he met your face. Your faces were millimeters apart while you both held eye contact. Jack took this moment to begin working downstairs. He took his index to rub your lips apart before inserting it into your pussy. He took his time stretching you out and maintaining your eyes. With each pump of his finger, you began to breathe heavy. Your chests and lips grazing on every exhale. He then added another finger and gently rubbed your clit with his thumb, again at an unbearable pace. Your body instinctively grinding into his hands; wanting more. Your heavy breathing turned into soft whining.
āWhatās the matter? You want more?ā Jack leaned in by your ear, then pressing a kiss and gently biting behind your ear, which caused you to let out a slight wince.
You nodded in response to his question and continued to grind against him while he fingered you with now three digits. You didnāt know how much more you could take, but you knew you didnāt want to cum like this. You wanted Jack in every possible way.
āYou have to use your words, baby. Tell me what you want.ā Jack commanded, peppering kisses across your breasts.
In between your whining you replied, āI want you. I need you.ā You reached for his crotch, stroking his cock and tried positioning towards your entrance.
Jackās body recoiled and he quickly took his fingers out of you. He then grabbed your hands and held them down, āYou must really want it. How bad do you need it?ā
Your face grew hot and you began to feel the same embarrassment when he spread your legs only moments before.
āCāmon sweetheart. I want to hear you say it. What do you want me to do?ā Jackās amusement was apparent as a slight smile spread across his face.
You took a breathe before answering, āI need you inside of me. I want you to fill me.ā Your words escaped more whiney than intended, but that was enough for Jack to spread your legs with his knees and thrust deeply into your pussy. He kept his hands tightly clasped with yours and kissed you intensely with a desperation you could hear with every breath for air.
His rhythm was long and slow. He made sure to fill your cunt with every thrust. You could feel his tip pop out of your entrance and how he inserted his tip softly before pressing the rest of his cock into your hole. It was insanity.
Compared to his cock, his mouth was a mess. He was sloppy with his tongue; not that you were any more dignified. He went from your mouth to kissing your cheeks to your neck, leaving more and more bite marks wherever he traveled. His scruff tugging at your whenever he moved. As if collecting himself, he let go of your hands and instead lifted your ass in the air. One arm hooked on your thigh and the other held your face tightly.
He leaned in closer, hovering above you, āOpen your mouth.ā Jackās voice was dark, which only made you more wet. You promptly separated your lips and Jack spit in your mouth, before kissing you roughly as he inserted himself.
āSuch a good girl,ā he moaned. This time he was just as sloppy. His pace was erratic and he separated from your lips. Instead, he watched his cock enter your hole and how your breasts moved at this pace.
āYouāre doing such a good job taking my cock. Itās like your pussy was made for me. I hope no one else gets to see you like this. Are you a slut for anyone else?ā
Jackās question caught you off guard but so was the sudden thrust that hit you deeply. You couldnāt help but let out a loud moan. Jack kept pumping and hitting the same spot, which only made your moans worsen. You felt your body grow more sensitive. You could feel the nerves in your legs that Jack held by his face and you could especially feel his cock rubbing against your sidewalls. You could practically feel every vein as it moved inside of you.
Jack met your eyes again and his voice grew low once more, āAnswer my question and donāt you dare look away.ā
You could keep your eyes open, let alone answer Jackās question. But you tried as your moans became more erratic and breathless, āIām yours and only yours.ā
As you answered Jack thrusted one final time, which was enough to bring you to your climax. Your body convulsed as Jack removed his cock and came across your stomach. Both of your breathes were quick and heavy as you both finished.
āThatās what I thought.ā Jack retorted. He let his body collapse on top of yours for a moment before he grabbed the tissues next to his bed and wiped your stomach. āI donāt want you doing this with anyone else,ā He said almost too casually.
āIs that your way of wanting us to be exclusive?ā You asked, slightly teasing.
āMaybe.ā Jack smiled at you before pulling you into his chest. You wrapped your arms around him and entangled your legs with his.
As your face pressed against his heartbeat, you laughed softly and replied with another question, "You want to elaborate on that?"
"Nope," Jack replied curtly and pressed a kiss to your forehead. You shook your head and continued to listen to his heartbeat. Without thinking, the rising and falling of your chest matched Jack's. Both in tandem, somehow you knew what Jack meant without him needing to say it.

Summary: You and Dr. Abbot have a bit of routine post night shift, but this evening is differentā¦

Summary: Y/n is currently on tour when they're forced to postpone a concert in Gotham after threats against their life. (Part 2 !!!)
Pairing: Jason Todd xĀ gn pop star reader
Tags: comfort, mention of anxiety, suggestive, please donāt take this seriously, so not canon it hurts

Just say the word.ā

chadwickbosemanĀ It is with immeasurable grief that we confirm the passing of Chadwick Boseman.Ā
Chadwick was diagnosed with stage III colon cancer in 2016, and battled with it these last 4 years as it progressed to stage IV.Ā
ā£A true fighter, Chadwick persevered through it all, and brought you many of the films you have come to love so much. From Marshall to Da 5 Bloods, August Wilsonās Ma Raineyās Black Bottom and several more, all were filmed during and between countless surgeries and chemotherapy.Ā ā£ā£
It was the honor of his career to bring King TāChalla to life in Black Panther. ā£He died in his home, with his wife and family by his side.Ā ā£
The family thanks you for your love and prayers, and asks that you continue to respect their privacy during this difficult time.Ā ā£ā£
