Yoshi P: Make sure the Midlander Women just run Like Thatâ„¢
I uhh...huh...yeah alright.
I am craving a complicated toxic friendship thing between minfilia and Wol, this woman who is known for, defined even, by her faith in hydaelyn, in the Light. An organiser and diplomat, who truly wants everyone to get along in this world fraught with war and peril. Who has to lean on someone who Hydaelyn has clearly given a lot more power to for the violent extremes it takes to get them there. A woman who willingly gives her life to save someone else’s world. And then spends the next hundred years locked in battle, getting hydaelyn’s chosen little girls killed over and over again. Until hydaelyns champion can arrive and actually win the fight for her. I think they should feel very weird about each other.

calyx's bad fur day
Being the tragedy enjoyer that I am, as well as someone who thinks if a story introduces an idea its fair game to see how far it'll stretch until it snaps, I want to know what would have happened if Garlemald laid siege to Sharlyan.
Not in a magic vs magitek sense because that's boring and i don't care, but because i want to see their philosophy in action. What does Sharlyan's stance of 'history happens to other people' do when history knocks on the door. The end of days is too neat, and the goddess given mission having already been accepted by their predecessors generations ago lets them dodge much of the decision making. Especially when so much of the story so far has been about disgusting grubby real wars, I don't like letting the question get side stepped in favour of metaphor.
I want to know what the plan is when the Garlean navy surrounds the island. There is nowhere to run. The maelstrom isn't sailing in to save the day. Their trading partners cannot get in. They cannot get out. Resources are dwindling. What now?
They are pacifist extremists, specifically contrasted with Gridania's armed neutrality, Sharlyan calls armed defense just war mongering in a different hat. So lets put the question to them.
Say Garlemald offers a bargain. They don't want to go to war either. Surrender, and we won't enlist your children into the foreign legions. You can be our engineers. Our strategists. (Only the 'real people' among you of course, beast tribes and such don't count). Maybe nothing has to change at all, you just have to let us build a military base and airport on the eastern side of the island we can use to wage war on Eorzea.
You can keep your hands clean. No blood has to be spilled today.
Would Sharlyan let itself die, in the name of its ideals?
really interesting how calyx has trust in the wol -> walked up to them in mor dhona trusting that they wont attack while halmarut doesnt -> runs away at the sight of them in 7.4 and intentionally antagonises them in 7.5! really interesting!
A list of questions about blorbos.
I was thinking about the Blorbos—as per usual—and decided to make a list of questions that would help others get to know them better.
Feel free to share it so others can ask about your OC's too, and feel free to ask any of these about any of my creatures.
Do they prefer cold or warm environments?
What's their favorite spot of their homes?
What's their favorite spot in the world?
Do they have any core memories, regardless of age?
How do they behave around children?
How do they behave around animals?
What did they want to be as a child? Did they made it?
How do they react when someone cries in front of them?
What’s something they miss that no longer exists?
What’s a habit they inherited from someone else? Do they notice they do it?
What kind of person brings out the worst in them?
What kind of person brings out the softest version of them?
What’s something that feels intimate to them, even if others might consider it meaningless?
What makes them cringe? (May be out of second hand shame or plain fear/contempt)
What kind of affection are they bad at receiving?
Is there something they love in secret? Why do they hide it?
Do they keep any secrets? Their own or someone else’s?
Is there anything that makes them feel embarrassed?
What’s something childish they still do? Do they do it openly?
What’s the quickest way to make them uncomfortable?
What’s the quickest way to make them feel comfortable?
Do they let people into their home or personal space easily? What would they discover about them if they did?
What's the last thing they think about before falling asleep?
What is their relationship with pain? Do they tolerate it well, hide it, or even enjoy it?
Do they acknowledge their wounds openly, or do they pretend nothing hurts them?
What’s the cruelest thing someone has ever said to them?
What’s something they can forgive once, but never twice?
What’s the longest grudge they’ve ever held?
What’s something they’re terrified people will discover about them?
What’s something they wish people noticed about them?
Do they feel envy? If so, of what?
What is their greatest fear?
What is their greatest wish?
Are they afraid of growing old?
Do they think people truly know them?
