Comic about my Black Phone OC

My OC is Anastasia Adler, the biological sister of Hope Blake (Finn and Gwen's mom). After her sister's death, her bipolar disorder worsened, and she is currently going through a rough patch in isolation. Yet, it is precisely at this moment that she begins to take an interest in her neighbor, Albert Shaw. He is the one who killed her sister, though Stess doesn't know it.

Stess and Gwen

In The Black Phone, they have almost no contact, as Stess had a falling out with Terrence Blake (the father) and can no longer visit her nieces and nephews. However, both before the events of the film and especially afterwards share a genuinely good relationship.

Stess cares deeply for Gwen, treating her almost like a daughter. Gwen also strongly reminds her of her own sister (which is a sad detail).

Stess is a very important figure in Gwen’s life, too. She has always been the "cool aunt" who listens without judgment. Furthermore, they both experience prophetic dreams, so they truly understand one another

I like the contrast in Stess between the first and second parts of the film

In the tbp1, she is more chaotic, and her color palette is warmer (plum, olive, buttery yellow). In the tbp2, she has better control over her impulses and becomes more restrained though I think in a good way. Her color palette shifts to cooler tones contrasting with the first part. Dark red (almost brown), blue-violet, light blue

I spent a long time working out her outfit and creating her profile (about two weeks), and even longer developing her lore, personality traits, and the like. I’d love to hear your feedback :)

TBP2 short OC lore: Four years have passed. After the Grabber’s capture, Stess becomes a well-known artist thanks to a series of paintings inspired by her prophetic dreams. She has repaired her relationship with Terrence and become one of the most important people in Finney's and especially Gwen's lives. When Gwen starts having strange dreams connected to Alpine Lake Camp , Stess travels there with her. Soon, the black phone begins ringing in her dreams again. Stess hears not only the voices of the dead boys, but also Albert. Through their conversations and a shared dream with Gwen, she must face the past and finally let go of the man she loves and hates. A story about prophetic dreams, grief, memory, and learning that the people we love are not always who we believed them to be.
