I know that! I’m not totally daft, I swear. It just seems like you’re interested in different kinds of kisses than the ones I was talking about, that’s all. I’ve designed short and tight before -- it’s surprisingly tasteful if done right, it’s usually for girls on the dance or cheerleading teams who are in super good shape. That’s all I have to do to go out to dinner with you? Is wear a pretty dress that I designed? I’ve never worn one of the short tight ones myself but I try everything on first before I custom-fit it to the people who ordered it.

Mal is a Latin root for ‘bad’ or ‘evil’, so probably playing off that in a good way would be smarter; Magnificent is cute, but it doesn’t sound like a brand so much. There are tons of four-syllable words that start with M, though, we’ll find something! Oh, rompers! Some of those look cute, that could be fun! Ugh, Prince Adam is so not even all that, I must be the only girl in the kingdom who hasn’t drooled all over that. Anyone’s attainable if you put your mind to it, Stace! You’re super cute and nice and talented, any guy would be lucky to have you, especially if you let me perfect your makeup. 

She can be like, the fairest of her generation, right? Don’t all moms want their kids to pass them and be better and happier and stuff eventually? Hmm... No, you’re right, it just sounds like I picked a random adjective. You’re super good at this, have you ever thought about being like, a brand manager or a PR person or something? What color do you think looks best on you? I could make you a romper ASAP, and you’d be sure no one else in the kingdom would have one even kind of like it. Really? Who would you pick to drool over instead? I mean, Prince Adam’s sort of old and also dating Zira’s sister, so super off limits even if you think he’s attainable -- but you’re right, ninth grade is like, the perfect time to start getting boyfriends maybe.

You needn’t be scared. No matter what happens, I’m sure Auradon will end up in the best hands possible, one way or another. Hopefully it’s a smooth transition to the best future possible, but frankly, I think we’d have been better off if Sawyer and Adam switched lives; I respect her brain quite a bit. I don’t really see the resemblance between Sherbert and Hurricane, but sure, the “uglier” part sounds right. Don’t debase yourself for a cute face, Stacey - you have more to offer the world than whatever you can offer a man. If you convince your mothers you could use a random brother, he’d definitely probably show you the secret non-existant tunnels; he’d have to, it’s family secrets, after all. It’s a shame someone with your vigor for the life of nobility wasn’t born into it. Or adopted into it, actually, because Janelle would probably love to trade her social status with you and I have a feeling you’d take to it much better, like a duck in water. But it’s not all it’s cracked up to be and if you’re happy with your family? I say you’re very lucky.

Wait, so you wish Sawyer were your sister instead? Or just that she was old so she could have been president first and done a better job than Adam? You like totes lost me here! Um, really? They have like, the same color hair and kinda pointy faces? I don’t know, and they’re both crazy fun but Hurricane is nicer and cuter. That’s okay! I mean, it would have been nice but it’s also nice to get to see the glimpses of it from designing clothes for people; someday I’ll grow up to be in high demand and it won’t just be bored younger princesses I’m making stuff for, it’ll be first-born princesses and queens and Snow White on TV wearing my designs, too! I do love my moms, though; I couldn’t ask for better ones.

I envy your confidence in our higher-ups ability to not screw up an entire kingdom. While it’s true that there’s nothing particularly wrong with Adam other than being far too idealistic if you ask me, I don’t know if I’d say he’s leadership material. But, whatever, that’s not up to me, or to the people, or anything - a kingdom that preaches ability to be whatever you want but relies on a bloodline monarchy system, so evolved! Eh, I wouldn’t say I don’t like them, any more than I don’t like anyone, honestly, but I’m in class with Sherbert and Cupcake, the elder Darling-Pans, and if they’re the example of responsbility for that family, I pity them. You…didn’t eat for three days? The more we talk, the more that being adopted by your family doesn’t sound that bad for either of us, but I’m not so sure your moms would appreciate a random son. I am neither confirming nor denying the use of secret tunnels….though if there were secret tunnels, the son of the kings would be the person to know about them, wouldn’t he be?

But wasn’t he student body president? Although... I guess he must have been pretty bad if they were desperate enough to give it to a tenth grader after he left. Oh, no! You just made me scared for the future, and I was never scared before. Are you going to throw a coup? Are you going to be our next king instead? Oh, Sherbert’s the one that looks like Hurricane but uglier, right? Hurricane is so cute even if he doesn’t seem to understand that chaste kisses are an important gateway into whatever it is he wants to do with girls. I was in quesadilla mourning! And there was no other way to reheat it without a microwave, was there? If I convince my moms they want a random son, would you be willing to show me one of the ‘maybe they exist, maybe they don’t’ tunnels? I’d feel so special, almost like a princess for a day!

It’s never a bad thing to think ahead and start a business plan, you know. Eeeeehhhhh, I like smooth uninterrupted patterns and colors myself, personally; I have a shorter torso than I do legs, and belts almost ALWAYS hit me wrong - if you can find me one that doesn’t make me look like my shoulders attach directly to my hips, I’ll love you forever. Absolutely! I love having people to share it with, moms aren’t really the best models since they’re kind of older and not really the right age group for my designs. Mal means like, bad in Spanish or something, though, right? Maybe I should name it Magnificent instead of Maleficent. Has that been taken yet? I don’t want to rip off some other aspiring designer. Okay, so then we’re going for the opposite, then -- you should try extra low rise jeans, and maybe rompers sometimes, too? I bet you’d look adorable in one, and they’re really hard for long-torsoed people to wear. Oh, well... No. I mean, every girl in the kingdom has a crush on Prince Adam, but other than that who really is there that’s attainable?

But all I want is true love’s first kiss, I don’t need my first kiss to be the first time I get pregnant, too! In my imagination the worst case scenario happens a lot, I have to be prepared for fashion AND fetus emergencies! It sounds like you’re thinking of velcro, which by the way already exists and really isn’t all that cute. Um, no they’re not? Dinosaurs died sixty five million years ago. Humans have so not been around that long.

Never mind that the first kid might not have the best aptitude for governing - at the very least most kingdoms are obliterating the gender stereotypes but there’s still a long way to go to achieve the best government for the people if you ask me. Well, the Darling-Pans are way different than my family, thank Beast. I’m not the best at cooking or cleaning, but I have some skill with mechanical junk, I guess - I can fix anything if I get to look at it long enough, so if your washing machine or oven breaks or something, I got you. In theory. Uh, sure I guess you can look at my neck at school, but make it quick. I don’t really like spending a lot of time in the halls if I can help it, it’s real crowded there. My family’s busy running the kingdom, I’d really hope they didn’t visit. I’d rather die alone, I think. It’s the most noble way to die.

Well, if he was a total dud, they’d skip him, right? I mean, I’m sure your dads know what they’re doing and if they thought Adam was the worst or something, they’d writ e anew law or make a loophole. Do you not like them? I don’t think I know any of them, I’ve just heard about them, but it sounds so fun to have so many people around all the time. Oh, yay! I broke the microwave once and didn’t eat for 3 days because I was so sad I couldn’t reheat my quesadilla, that yould definitely be useful. Wait, what? Then how do you get from class to class? Are there secret tunnels or something? I’ve heard that runway models use those sometimes to keep people from catching a glimpse of their outfits too soon. That’s... super duper sad, now I want to adopt you even more.

It’s a loving diss! I would never say something seriously bad about Calista - image is important, and besides, she’s my best friend even if she drives me batty sometimes. Ew, people are still on your mom for being Maleficent’s daughter? That was, like, forever ago - and besides, if a little fairy from Neverland can end up the Queen of the shiniest kingdom in Auradon, anyone can be anything if they have enough ambition. Belts are sooooo last year, though! They interfere with my silouhette too much, which I will not stand for as I move to high school; I can’t have everyone looking at me like I’m some little girl instead of the woman I’m becoming. Oh, no, please, I’m totally sure! I love funding shopping trips, and besides, I want to see the full range of your abilities, which means no limits! Red’s my fave color ever, and I’m still single, but hey, maybe next Valentine’s Day you’ll have a boo and a reason to bring out that sizzling hot color! I think you’d look muy caliente in red.

That part sounds nice -- the having a live in best friend part, I mean. I guess someday I’ll get married and I’ll have a live in best friend then, but until then it feels kind of sad. It’s okay, I guess it just means my grandmother was the biggest and scariest of them all, not that I think that’s a good thing. But maybe I’ll be as notorious as her someday, only in a good way. Belts are still great if you have the right one! You don’t need to have a huge buckle or a wide hem or anything, I’ve been really into slim belts lately. And you can wear them to make your dress more empire-waist, that would accentuate what I think you want to accentuate. Thanks, Bella! I always wear a red shirt to celebrate Auradon’s independence day, maybe you can see it then in case I’m still single.

No, I haven’t! If I were to daydream that far in our relationship -- which I haven’t, I only daydream about chaste kisses! -- then I’d imagine him gingerly pulling my shirt up over my head, or fumbling for my zipper to take my dress off or something. Ripping is for cavemen!

I thought that was just because you were younger. There’s like, the girl, the king, and you! That’s not a bad thing, though, I mean, my friend said there’s a family where there are seven kids and their parents still have time to love all of them, your dads must have time to love all three of you. We’d take you in for free, too! Do you know how to cook or something at least? If you feed us you’re totally earning your spot in the family, we all have to do our part to make sure it works. If you ask me, I’m a teeeny bit smaller than Calista, but we’re close enough to the same size that it’s a non-issue, absolutely! I smell a shopping trip coming up! Oh, Beast, I’m so excited. Do you really like, split your family up like that? I mean, you’re all one unit, why does it matter which dad made you? Your other dad still considers you his son, right? Hey, that’s not fair, I was offering just to be nice. If my moms needed money to help take care of another person, though, that’s understandable, they aren’t super rich like all the kings and queens of the kingdom and Auradon Prep is pricey. Is it really super bad that I want to take care of the family I already have? I don’t think it is. Do you have a funny neck shape? Maybe yours is really long and they’re trying to de-centuate it. You’d only see your siblings on TV? I feel like you just took that to like a way extreme, I’ll visit my moms even when I leave home and travel all the fashion runways of the world.

That’s actually not a bad idea, Bella! Usually I have to try everything out on myself to see if it looks good, but I’m blonde and i don’t know if my styles would be flattering for different coloring. Maybe having you and Calista both try stuff on would be a blessing -- different hair colors, same size, it’s perf.
