Hey look a new entry to the Bad Ending club!
This is so cool!
Haven't been on Tumblr for a while but I thought I'd post a drawing of my OC. I've had him for about a year. His name is Julian Hearthstone and he's a human/AI hybrid. He normally has brown hair but in this I decided to give him blue :)
“When I walk into a church, I only see paintings of white angels. Why?“ - Eartha Kitt
probably for the same reasons i lost 6 followers after posting a steady stream of classically beautiful women…
I’ve never seen a black angel depicted with brown wings. It’s beautiful

Okay, granted, it’s been a while since I’ve seen “all trans readers like one kind of fic, and no trans readers ever like another kind of fic, so it is Transphobia when you write the Wrong Kind.”
…but it hasn’t been that long since I’ve seen someone quietly wonder if they’re a Bad Trans Person for having preferences.
So it’s never a bad time to say: different people have different needs, and it’s okay to be fulfilled by different kinds of stories!
(heck, the same person might have different needs at different points in their own life, and that’s okay too)
@absolute-0zero I remember you getting some heat for the genderbent art you did, I know it’s been a little since that whole thing happened but wanted to remind you that you’re art is fantastic and you didn’t do anything wrong.
(WARNING!: I got pretty mad again- so- beware-)
I don’t reblog things but this is literally so worth it.
There’s a thing that’s been going on pretty recently and forever where everyone assumes that everyone must see things exactly their way or they’re blankphobic/have some type of distaste or disrespect for whatever group. Which as a whole is something that pisses me off to an unbelievable degree.
First. Phobic means fear, specifically an irrational one. And I’d like to put out there that there ARE times someone could reasonably have an irrational fear of a group. Many women who have been abused by men then grow up to fear them (and vise versa) so it’s not insanely dramatic of a reach to assume something similar could happen with some other thing, ex. sexuality or race.
Second. I HATE when people are reduced to one aspect of themselves. That they’re just gay, or just black, or just trans, or just a man. People are insanely complex, and isolating one part of someone and proceeding to strip them of every other quality is possibly the most disrespectful shit. Not every trans person likes gender bends, granted. But not every trans person finds them offensive or inappropriate either. Those opinions should be respected, possibly not enjoyed. But respected.
Third. (My anger’s starting to peeter out…) I may be a gay trans dude, but I’m also white and of pretty decent economic standing. Tell me about things I don’t know. If I do poverty wrong and glorify it somehow, get mad at me for that. If I display a culture wrong, get me for that, but don’t come after me for things I’m that involved with… I will ignore you and things like this will happen.
And now for a short psa, if you’ve never done anything like the thing below then I love you don’t take the ‘you’ to heart down there.
Here’s the thing. Just because you are a part of the minority doesn’t mean you can push your ideals on the whole group. Do that and you’re no better than the people oppressing you that was being fought in the first place. And really that goes for everybody.
I wholeheartedly agree with this. As a person who has—in the past and currently—been unsure as to my gender identity, I believe that a person of that community having certain preferences as to how they choose to view themselves is something that should be respected. I think that there are many misconceptions swirling around attempting to depict trans as ‘one identity’ when we as humans are so much more complex than that. How we view the world, how we view ourselves; that’s entirely our own.
A person should not have to work to conform to a standard of being that has been placed upon them by the views of people that came before. Otherwise, we’d have no progress. A trans person can choose to share their identity if they wish, and that should not lead to questioning on their part.
I have personally experienced this; if I’m willing to share my identity, am I trans enough? If I am able to look at myself in the mirror and accept myself (not that I have entirely, mind you), does THAT make me not trans enough? People have their own preferences and their own views. We’re unique. As long as these beliefs aren’t hateful towards another community, people need to learn to respect that.
Look at her opening doors to thousands of girls (if not more) around the world! 😍

This is beautiful

i don’t know why anyone has to feel insecure about their bodies, when objectively, humans are all freakish horrors. Every last one of us. Hairless, fleshy, gangly beasts walking upright straight as a tree with bony tentacles on the ends of our limbs.
you have a hole in your face full of sharp bones and you’re worried that your belly is a little squishy
broke: all bodies are beautiful!
woke: all bodies are made of warm meat wrapped around wet bones with blood-plump organs stuffed inside. rad
Actually, your face isn’t filled with sharp bones! Bones are derived from the mesoderm, one of three tissue layers in very early embryonic development that diversify into all of the organs in the body. Teeth on the other hand, come from the ectoderm. So congrats! Your face isn’t filled with sharp bones- it’s filled with sharp skin! Have fun!
I HATE that
“Teeth are bone-infied skin” not the cursed knowledge I was expecting today, but hey, whatever works!
…my reality just shifted.
Had a dream that McDonald’s had a big ad campaign that just said “WE HAVE IT” in black cryptic writing. So I went to a drive thru and said “I saw the sign. Can I have it” and the speaker was silent for a solid ten seconds before saying “do you think you’re ready” in my voice and I screamed and drove away
