Hanahaki disease would be so devastating in the Saw franchise, especially if you were willing to get creative with it.

Lawrence Gordon who has been sick his whole life but learned to hold it in and push it down until it flooded into his lungs. He convinces himself that he doesn’t have it, he forgets what it felt like before, deludes himself into thinking that he’s perfectly healthy. And then he meets Adam and suddenly he can breathe. He has to leave behind this man who’s more important to him than Adam could ever even know. A few days after he exits the bathroom Lawrence vomits up flower petals and he knows that Adam is dead

Mark Hoffman with familial Hanahaki who starts coughing up flowers after the death of the only person he ever really cared about. He does his best to hide it at work and around people but there’s only so much one man can take and the police start to find dead flower petals at Jigsaw crime scenes. Amanda goes after him ruthlessly about it but John tells her off for it. She can’t even imagine what having the disease is doing to Mark and she’ll never have to. She and John Kramer will die at the same time.

One day Amanda goes into the warehouse and sees Mark, thinking he’s alone, hunched over a desk, trying to pull a foot long vine out of his throat. It finally dislodges with a trail of spit and blood and Mark collapses onto his elbows, coughing and choking, and gagging.

Amanda Young who has found somewhere that she can exist freely for the first time in her life. Doing everything for John and becoming more and more frustrated when she can’t help him, feeling like she’s failing him. John Kramer who knew what his lifestyle would do to his and Jill’s relationship and did it anyway. He’s dying of cancer, what more could Hanahaki do to him? Jill never suffers any symptoms. John never stopped loving her. She must suffer the guilt of having her husband be dying not from one fatal disease, but two. One of which she feels responsible for.

Peter Strahm who keeps making himself gag over and over again while Lindsey is in the hospital. It doesn’t do him any good and tears up his throat, but if she dies he wants to know the moment it happens. He has to. Peter who goes on a one man crusade to avenge his best friend. He is crushed piece by piece and the only relief he will ever have is the fact that there were no flowers, only blood.

Ok i'm happy for everyone excited for the new game but what about it is Saw related exactly? In my best attempt to not sound like a hater, are they allergic to the source material? Or is it a voice acting issue? I just don't get the inspo of making a new story from 100 years ago and trying to connect it with John

YES CHRISTIAN BORLE same! He has that shelter dog rizz i like. And ofc Laura Bell Bundy as Elle- i would love to know someone like her Elle irl. I loved actually seeing a musical make the movie better and especially the love story (which was bland and boring in the movie).
