We are already so misunderstood and underrepresented, it would be great if more people were positively interested in our identities!

"there are 2 wolves inside you" actually just statistical error. average person has 0 wolves inside them. your local plural therian blog, that has very very many nonhuman alters, is an outlier adn should not have been counted

Another thing on misinformation is that being a Therian makes someone act like an animal when it's the other way around for most. Most are a Therians because of the way they are.

Love when a post gets popular on here that I assumed was clearly about alterhumanity but then after a thousand notes or so a bunch of non-alterhumans have turned it into a metaphor for their blorbos suffering or whatever lol

After wearing my fursuit head around a lot at ANE it made me really feel like I am my fursona. I’ve been feeling that for forever but it really increased the feeling. I’m not sure if I would call this therianthropy but there’s something going on there. It might also just be that my fursona is the same species as my theriotype though so idk!

Has anyone else felt like this?

The key to a good experience as an alterhuman on Tumblr is :

to block the people who make the kinds of posts you don’t want to see

to make the kinds of posts you want to see more of

and most importantly, to not base your entire identity on what you post online. Your identity is in you first and foremost.

Sometimes people are criticized for being human while still part of the alterhumanity community and sometimes people are criticized for not being human at all including biologically. At the end of the day that’s all nonsense and each identity is individual and not something that others should be policing. There is no “right way” to be alterhuman.

At one point I didn’t know physical therians were a thing, and then I saw some beings on here say that they were therians who were physically their theriotype and I was like “okay”
