Funny thing about anger: Let it consume you, and soon enough... you lose sight of everything.

Stay Out of Our Dreams!
SpongeBob: [waking up to see his friends and neighbors crowded around his bed] Hey, what are you all doing in your pajamas? Are we having a slumber party? Squidward: No, we are not having a slumber party! Sandy: Do us all a favor, SpongeBob, and stay out of our dreams! (Squidward, Mr. Krabs, Pearl, Plankton, and Gary all vehemently agree in unison) Plankton: Take a hike! Squidward: Don't we get enough of you during the day? Gary: (meows in annoyance) Patrick: (walking up to the angry crowd) Does anyone have a quarter? (everyone else looks at him in shock)
The sun shines on this Parasol of mine. Where I walk, enemies balk, and I float gently down...
I haven’t posted a neopoke in a while so please enjoy this toy miltank vaguely based on an early ‘90s playskool brand tape recorder (I imagine the cassette goes in the back but maybe it goes in her mouth? I don’t know!)
Chief Master Guru: The wise elders taught that resorting to violence will never change a person on the inside. In conflict, you must rip your opponent a new asshole in his consciousness. Soon, his mind will be open to all truth. All hole, no ass.
Young Xavier: But Master, you can't punch someone with your mind.
Chief Master Guru: [gives Xavier a board] Hold this board.
(Xavier holds the board, but a phantom fist emerges from the Guru's forehead and punches Xavier in the face. We cut back to present-day Xavier, who has a bloody nose.)
Xavier: Idiot. He totally missed the board.
My Favorite Line in A Bug's Life
Hopper: Have you been playing all summer? You think this is a game? Various ants: No, no, please! Hopper: Well, guess what? You just LOST!

Let the past die. Kill it, if you have to. That's the only way to become what you were meant to be.

Punctuating Dialogue
✧
➸ “This is a sentence.”
➸ “This is a sentence with a dialogue tag at the end,” she said.
➸ “This,” he said, “is a sentence split by a dialogue tag.”
➸ “This is a sentence,” she said. “This is a new sentence. New sentences are capitalized.”
➸ “This is a sentence followed by an action.” He stood. “They are separate sentences because he did not speak by standing.”
➸ She said, “Use a comma to introduce dialogue. The quote is capitalized when the dialogue tag is at the beginning.”
➸ “Use a comma when a dialogue tag follows a quote,” he said.
“Unless there is a question mark?” she asked.
“Or an exclamation point!” he answered. “The dialogue tag still remains uncapitalized because it’s not truly the end of the sentence.”
➸ “Periods and commas should be inside closing quotations.”
➸ “Hey!” she shouted, “Sometimes exclamation points are inside quotations.”
However, if it’s not dialogue exclamation points can also be “outside”!
➸ “Does this apply to question marks too?” he asked.
If it’s not dialogue, can question marks be “outside”? (Yes, they can.)
➸ “This applies to dashes too. Inside quotations dashes typically express—“
“Interruption” — but there are situations dashes may be outside.
➸ “You’ll notice that exclamation marks, question marks, and dashes do not have a comma after them. Ellipses don’t have a comma after them either…” she said.
➸ “My teacher said, ‘Use single quotation marks when quoting within dialogue.’”
➸ “Use paragraph breaks to indicate a new speaker,” he said.
“The readers will know it’s someone else speaking.”
➸ “If it’s the same speaker but different paragraph, keep the closing quotation off.
“This shows it’s the same character continuing to speak.”

Orchid's Jar Prank
Otis: Orchid, we need to know what month and day it is. Orchid: Sure. Can you help me open this jar first? [hands Otis a strange-looking jar, which he opens, causing glitter to shoot out of the jar and cover most of his suit] BURN! [skips off, singing to herself] Olympia: At least it didn't get all over your face! Orchid: [comes back with another jar] Which reminds me, can you help me open this other jar? Otis: Orchid, please leave. Orchid: Okay, whatever. [leaves]
