🌹About Rosalie and The Mod👾
Rosalie has multiple dynamic disabilities. She became physically disabled in her 23rd year.
She is a biracial person of colour (BIPOC), and plus size. She is an actress, singer, and dancer.
She used to live in Pelican Town until the war began at the age of 12 and her parents decided to move back to their home country.
Now 20 years later, she returns. Though it seems only those closest to her know why.
Rosalie is returning to Pelican Town to stay with her Uncle Gus at the Saloon. She is an ambulatory wheelchair user, and before her arrival, makes the saloon accessible for her and her wheelchair for days she needs it.
Her arrival starts conversations in town about disabilities and what people may assume they should or shouldn’t look like, and how those with them should act.
Her story will discuss depression, anxiety, ablism (within the town and herself), fatphobia, relationships and loss, grief, trauma, abuse, and mentions of addiction.
There will be a warning as to what is and isn’t shown in her story. I still aimed to make it as close to Vanilla as possible in tone, action, and dialogue.
❤️Rosalie x Shane💙 (Best Friends or Lovers)
Shane and Rosalie were childhood friends. More accurately, childhood sweethearts. They don’t talk much when she arrives back in town, but with the Farmer’s help, they can find their way back to being as close as ever.
Rosalie and Shane have a friendship where they’re able to joke around and tease each other, but also talk about anything freely. They take care of each other and are very protective over the other. Despite them both being shy individuals, you would never know if you saw them interact as they can talk for hours. Shane is still as grumpy as ever, Rosalie is still a bit of a wallflower, but the moment they’re together, their personalities take a 180.
If the Farmer chooses, Rosalie and Shane’s friendship can evolve into something more.
Though Shane and (eventually) Rosalie are datable for the Farmer, the two will remain close even if the farmer marries either one. It is up to you if you want their friendship to change.
🌹Rosalie’s 2nd Love Interest💚
If Shane is already married by the time Rosalie arrives, or the Farmer doesn’t marry him (or her eventually), Rosalie has another candidate who has their eye on her… and she on them.
When you meet Rosalie, she already has a crush on this person—before she and Shane grow close again—but Rosalie is too shy to act on her feelings, and still recovering from the events that brought her back to Stardew Valley. If the farmer marries this person, Rosalie won’t pursue them as a partner, but the two will remain very good friends.
It has not been confirmed publicly yet as to who it is.
However, they were supposed to be the first love interest before I changed my mind and went with Shane first. It isn’t that hard to guess lol
Rosalie’s Backstory (revealed so far)

Rosalie was born on Spring 19 (making her one whole day older than Shane).
She is the middle child of 3 (has younger brother and older sister).
She was not born in Pelican Town, but her parents moved the family there shortly after she was born.
Despite Rosalie being known for her voice now, she was very shy as a child, barely speaking to strangers, even to their teenage babysitter, Robin.
What friends Rosalie did have at school didn’t travel to Pelican Town, and she was often alone. Especially in the summers.
In the summer of her 8th year, Rosalie made a new friend: her neighbour’s also shy nephew, Shane.
This friendship brought out a different person in Rosalie, and vice versa for Shane. They spent every summer together.
But in her 12th year, the war broke out and Rosalie’s parents decided it was time to move back to their home country.
Over the next 20 years, Shane and Rosalie did not keep in touch.
Rosalie made new friends in her new school, including with the person who is the reason she later moved back to Pelican Town.
Rosalie became an actor, and moved to Zuzu City for school and her dream. She worked at a chocolate shop for a long time and was ready to make her mark on the theatre scene…
But in her 23rd year, she became physically disabled…
The next five plus years were some of the hardest on Rosalie—not just physically, but mentally as well.
Now, Gus asks Robin to make a ramp for the saloon for Rosalie and any others who may need it.
Rosalie should have moved back to Pelican Town years before the farmer moves in. The reason she didn’t, angers both Gus (her Paternal Uncle) and Robin (who is now the town carpenter). They refrain from talking about it but will often cut themselves off in anger before revealing more than they should.
Rosalie has been away from Pelican Town for around 20 years, making her in her 30s. She lives with her Uncle Gus at the saloon, where she helps out when she physically and mentally can.
Her catch phrase is, “I’m fine”.
Rosalie goes by Rosie (by Emily and Gus), Rose by Harvey and sometimes Gus, and Rosa by Shane, Marnie, and Jas.
Rosalie calls Shane “Farm Boy”. She is the only one he allows to call him that.
Depending on what the player decides, Rosalie may start to call Jas “Minnie” because of Jas’ desire to have a nickname like Shane and Rosalie do for each other.
Rosalie is friendly to everyone, though guarded and shy, afraid of seeming self centred or annoying people by talking too much about what she hyper-fixates on. But when she is close to you, she will talk your ear off. Shane and her second love interest are the only ones she can seem to let her guard down with.
Shane’s favourite chicken, Charlie, despises Rosalie. She has tried many times to get her to like her, but to no avail.🔪🐓
Since Rosalie’s arrival, she and Dr Harvey have become good friends. Rosalie will bring him coffee some mornings and has weekly doctor visits with him. He seems to be distracted though… he seems to want to ask her something, but doesn’t know how to bring it up?
Emily is invested in her “abilities” but doesn’t ask them upfront. She seems to believe in a rumour of her being a mythical creature, but that’s just silly!
The Wizard and the creatures of the mines and sewer believe Rosalie to be unsafe to the people of Stardew Valley.
Since Rosalie’s arrival, Haley has been acting strange, even hostile around Shane and Rosalie when they are seen together.
Since Rosalie’s arrival, Shane and Marnie have been fighting or not talking at all.
Jas is obsessed with Rosalie’s hair ribbon. Maybe you can help with that!
Rosalie seems to have had issues with being accommodated. There may be a secret note or dialogue box that explains what happened.
