Fun Fact about yourself? I once stared at a light too long in my twenties and burnt a permanent sunspot into my vision. I can still faintly see it nearly ten years later. Optometrists are baffled by this and can not find anything physically wrong with my eye.
How long have you been writing fanfiction? I started writing fanfic in high school, which would have probably been around 2011 or so, and you could probably still find it on FFN if you knew where to look! I eventually moved to AO3 and started writing for the Stardew Valley fandom in 2017, which means I'm coming up on 10 years of writing Sam/Sebastian soon…
Favourite SDV character to write? The ASS trio of course, and no I will not be picking a favourite out of the three of them because I honestly don't think I could; it depends entirely on my mood!
Favourite tropes/genre to write? I love writing friends to lovers, particularly in a dynamic where there is a third friend who is sworn to secrecy, and thus forced to put up with their yearning.
Your most popular SDV fanfic? Come to Light, and the fact that it even hit the top kudos slot for the ship still blows my mind to this day. There were only 7 other fics in the Sam/Sebastian tag at the time, I figured even if it sucked someone would probably still enjoy it, and never thought it would take off the way it did (or that I'd still be writing for the pairing all these years later!)
Your SDV underdog fic you wish more people would give a chance? Cherry Bomb! The downside of having my first fic be my biggest success is that it feels like my other works will just kinda live in its shadow forever, but I'm really proud of how far my writing has come and how this has been turning out so far.
It's a trio-centric fic set in game canon, where the arrival of the farmer sets off Abigail's desire to explore the caves and the other supernatural phenomenon that happens around Pelican Town, while Sam and Sebastian pine over each other as they both try to work up the courage to confess their feelings.
Hear me out: I'm partial to the theory that Abigail is the wizard's daughter, and while it's not the most creative theory, I really do think all the snippets of information we get from the characters about it point to that being the case.
I still like to read other takes on this theory, but it irks me when people post them with the air that thinking Abby is his daughter is basic - because yes, that's the point! I think it is an Occam's razor scenario, where the simplest theory is the theory that is most likely to be right! I'm not subscribing to it just because I couldn't be bothered to come up with something more creative/out there.
Lastly, any other fandoms you write for? I pretty much exclusively write Stardew fic nowadays, but if it can be counted as fandom/writing, I also have a simblr where I'm blogging a little on-going series about my sims.
