Rayna kept her eyes on the arguing teens while she noticed a figure climb into the bathtub in her peripheral vision. Her heart was racing as she turned to watch the other teen sit right next to her.
“Hey,” he said as he mimicked how she sat.
“Hey,” she echoed. “How did you know where we were?”
He shrugged. “Ben asked people if they saw you two and some girls in the hallway said they saw Ada drag you in here.”
“Impressive,” Rayna said while failing to keep a straight face. “Guess he really wants to collect his prize.”
He laughed. “Think he’s just really desperate.”
She joined in with his laugh. “Sounds like it might run in the family.”
He scratched the back of his head and frowned. “You think I was desperate earlier? I just wanted to make sure you were safe.”
She bit her lip again as she felt her cheeks heat up. “I told you before I already have protection.”
“And I told you that you got me as backup protection.”
“Have you never heard that too much protection can be suffocating?”
He smirked. “I can leave you alone, but I don’t think you want me to.”
Rayna held her breath as she took in his words. She fought the urge to play with the long chunk of deep purple and black blended hair that rested on the side, keeping her attention on his face. She only noticed how green his eyes were a week ago when they were hanging out in a playground near her old elementary school. They were so intense that she had stopped telling her story midsentence, going from talkative to shy in seconds.
Is this what it’s like to have the biggest crush on someone you can’t be with? She thought while getting lost in his stare.
“What?” He quietly asked. He leaned closer until he was inches from her face. “Is there something on my face?”
She shook her head against the tile. “It’s just that you have pretty eyes.”
The problem with having OCs is that sometimes you wanna read about your little guy being in situations but unfortunately he is YOUR little guy and no one is gonna put him in that situation but you. Tragic.
“You… you wanna suck my tits?” If his partners wanted crass, then he was happy to be their guy. But the words spewing out of his mouth made his face burn because he’d never been asked that before. His dick? Sure. His chest? That was new. Shane had to scrunch his nose before he broke out into startled laughter. “Why?”
It was June’s turn to scrunch her nose. It looked like she was recovering from her own question.
It was pretty fucking adorable, really.
“What do you mean why?” June laughed. “You, um, you like mine, right?” Shane clocked the creeping insecurity at the tail end of her question and immediately felt the need to speak up.
“Mhm, love them.”
“Yeah? Well, I—” June sucked in a breath of air. “I really like yours too.”

Summary:
Sam and Sebastian are in their late 20's and struggling to find their places in the world. Programming work is running dry in Zuzu City, and Sebastian faces the reality that he's going to have to move back home. He and Sam (who never left town) pool their savings and buy Pam's old trailer. To help make ends meet, Sebastian decides to join the Adventurer's Guild, with Sam at his side. Can these two friends with benefits find true love in the Mines?
Excerpt: (from a later chapter)
For a long minute there was nothing but silence, as Sam stared at his hands and Sebastian shifted in his chair.
"Alright," Marlon said, finally, his voice causing Sam to jump. "We've heard enough." Sam braced himself to be told to get out, but Marlon spoke again. "We'll take you both on for a trial period. You won't be full members of the Guild until you each slay ten slimes on your own, but we won't have you go down in the caves until you've had some training."
"No shit," Gil muttered, but when Sam met his gaze, he was smiling.
Fun Fact about yourself? I can wiggle my eyebrows and make them look like a caterpillar!
How long have you been writing fanfiction? I think I wrote my first fanfic in like… 2006? It's been on and off since then.
Favourite SDV character to write? Shane! I like exploring his softer side, especially when it comes to his relationship with Jas.
Favourite tropes/genre to write? Romance/smut, fluff, friends to lovers, honestly anything involving love. Just hopeless romantic things hehe
Your most popular SDV fanfic? My most popular fic is my smutty Elliott/Farmer oneshot, "A Little Rendezvous." It's also my first SDV fanfic!
Your SDV underdog fic you wish more people would give a chance? My underdog fic is my submission for the Guild's Mermay 2025 event, "How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful." It's a mermaid AU centered around Jas and Emily, and it's so cute and wholesome. It's also my first multi-chaptered fic that I've completed, and I'm still really proud of it.
Hear me out: Hear me out: I think the baby that Marnie is holding hands with in Secret Note #11 is Mona. My headcanon is that the photo was taken in the 90s and Mona is Marnie's daughter, and that Mona died from an illness when she was young.
Lastly, any other fandoms you write for? I've written for JoJo's Bizarre Adventure and DanDaDan!
