It’s a lot funnier if Eli figures out how to fully shift when he’s very young, and he runs around the house like a tiny puppy. And Derek has to very sternly tell him not to shift in the middle of the playground where all the other kids can see, and maybe Eli uses it to get whatever he wants. He wants ice cream and if dad doesn’t let him have ice cream, Eli is gonna be a wolf today. Which is very annoying when Derek has stuff to do, like go to the store or meet clients at the auto shop.
