Hi hi! I saw you were debating ellipsus usage on your phone, and I’m here to say that I’ve found it works pretty well. The only problem I’ve found is that there’s little room to see your text between the keyboard and formatting on a phone, and I don’t know if there’s a feature to hide it. I would still recommend giving it a go, since it’s free, but if you don’t gel with it that’s perfectly okay. Hope you have a lovely day nonetheless :)

i have to say. and i've got it on the brain i guess bc i had to teach The Kids causal paths to war this week (💀) but there's something so. something. about all of this. where even changing and twisting the timelines doesn't fix your trajectory because it's been set for literally centuries. where the question is whether war is something event-based and more instrumental or about processes and i think clearly here. the answer is PROCESSES. YEARS OF THEM. AND NO MATTER WHAT YOU DO, NO MATTER HOW HARD YOU TRY, YOU CAN FIX THE 'EVENT' BUT CAN'T AVERT THE COURSE BC IT'S ALREADY SET

i can see how the 'fit an entire series worth of Stuff into one long episode' could go astray but that worked for me honestly?? i loved the circularity and the way it all loops back in on leela and romana and the choices they make right at the start (and also their misperceptions of each other, the thin line between protection and abandonment, this clear asymmetry between them that sometimes gets disguised and then sometimes like here is just so starkly obvious its JUICYYYYY)

speaking of

fellas is it gay to erase yourself from the universe together in order to prevent a massive paradox in a way that mirrors v clearly the og story of the watchmaker who became what she is bc her greatest love got wiped from time and then she stays to watch them out of admiration--

anyway. she was so scary. but v good i love when people remember that gallifrey is spookyTM

GOD THOUGH ok again the way this just hammers home what i mentioned earlier like. you can fix events all you like and maybe prevent one causal pathway but it's like i always tell the kids, it's not like preventing good old franz ferdinand from getting killed would have stopped wwi. it might have stopped it THAT DAY. but it would have found a way -- again not bc war is inevitable, but bc under the strain of particular processes it becomes so. and the processes.....they are processing........

(also also i clearly need to get into more brax stuff bc i knew I should have been moved by his little sacrifice at the end there but same as in s5 i was just sort of like...okay.....see you later!! good luck or whatever!)
