(there is another ferry across the water in a half an hour, even if i missed my boat. which means that I still get to see my mother tonight and everything is okay)
(there is even another ferry after this one that has been canceled. i will still see my mom tonight. everything is okay. the rain is not the worst thing that has ever happened and the stars are pretty)

(got to see my best friend ever today for the first time in like six months, just got back on the ferry after dropping her off on the other side and i'm riding the high of her company. also i love the ferry. it's pouring and freezing i love it. weepies in the headphones+hot coffee+dark rainy ferry rides on the sun deck is an ELITE combo)
(older woman in my ice skating class that i coach today, she said she used to skate on her pond back in the Ukraine, i told her my family is from there and then we had a really wonderful conversation, she asked me if my family was safe i said yes mostly, hers is mostly safe as well, she started talking about politics and how much she hates the republicans with which i wholeheartedly agreed! it was so lovely, we spoke in the little Ukrainian that I know, and then she gave me a coconut cheesecake bar from the Ukraine after her lesson!!!)
(back in my favorite ever town for a day and a half. love this place so much genuinely. I just drove my friend's buggy to the docks and didn't get my preferred parking spot because it was literally full to the brim with bald eagles. i hope they do not instinctively realize that I have seagulls tattooed on my body and kill me--though I would deserve it and relish the newspaper story that would come of it. i'm so happy to be back here for a bit. full of joy. it's raining so hard i can't see for thirty feet ahead of me. absolutely lovely)

professor told me my portfolio left them speechless during critique in class today and another student said it made them cry
i'm starting a club teaching my favorite ever sport to my peers which means i'll get to actually skate again
i'm on the way to get dinner with my mother tonight
i have plans with my favorite people this weekend
my class work is all finished
my room is clean and will be cool and fresh when I get home tonight
maybe it's okay )
