Watch the staged reading in order here The staged reading of Stark! The Musical was done in 2024. Written and directed by Amanda Fagan (me). The cast consisted of college students and alumni. We had 8 rehearsals to put it all together. Crew was made of college students as well, and props were lent to us by Marvel fans.

We wanted to show a variety of range and selected a ballad, an upbeat song, and a duet. These demos were pitched to Disney Music Group and the office of Kevin Feige in 2025.

The Story Behind Stark! The Musical
In 2020, during lockdown, 16-year-old Amanda Fagan wrote 23 songs in 2 weeks. She posted them on YouTube that summer, recording them in her bedroom studio with her friend, 20-year-old Grace Thygeson. The songs gained the attention of Mark Ruffalo, as well as Broadway and West End producer, Tegan Summer. Amanda spent the next three years developing her script and songs. In 2024, Amanda put together a team of college students with the chair of her theater department, Susan Berkompas, and directed a staged reading of Stark! The Musical. Amanda signed with Monti the Artist in late 2024, and the two worked on a pitch deck for several months. Stark! The Musical was pitched to Disney Music Group in July of 2025, and was received well. A second pitch was granted to the office of Kevin Feige, but without a Marvel person involved in the project, they verdict was that they were unable to produce it or grant production rights. This blog is run by me (Amanda Fagan). After much encouragement from friends and fellow Marvel fans, I decided to post all of the Stark content I had, rather than letting it sit in my drive for the rest of time. I wrote this for the fans and tried to highlight the character dynamics people enjoyed. So stay tuned this summer! Two new songs every Saturday at 10 am PST on YouTube!
