⋆ ⋅ The 5 senses and their role in Shifting ⋅ ⋆
Hey guys! Nice to see ya. I've been working on some things recently and I've been thinking about my shifting attempt a few nights ago. Now, a lot of you know that I haven't shifted yet, and it is what it is, yk? Disappointing, but we all get it.
Now, during my last attempt, I was pretty heavily in the void state, more or less. I didn't actively try to enter the void state, and I never really do these days. I just took deep breaths, motivated myself, and there I was. Unfortunately, that also means I have a bad habit of falling asleep before I even really did my method, which is so annoying tbh. But anyway, during that method, I was hearing things. Like, actually hearing things.
Sounds from my dr have always been my biggest symptom. Hearing is my most 'dominant' sense, ig. Whenever I visualize, the first thing I do is hear it. I have a feeling that when I actually shift, the first sense to come in will probably be hearing.
During my attempt (oooh, 555 popped up on my clock!!), I kept fazing in and out. I could hear things, but then I suddenly couldn't. It was annoying and I remember trying to call it up. I was trying too hard to control it, which is a big issue I've been dealing with. I'm still figuring it out tbh. It can be hard to let go of control.
But what I was thinking of, and this could benefit you, was the 5 senses. I've had a good amount of success with the 5 senses in the past, and for a lot of you, 5 senses is the method you would like to stick with, which is pretty good ig. For some people, this method is the easiest imo. (I don't even really like methods, and I usually just kinda vibe when I attempt but yk)
Now, what do you do when you use your 5 senses in shifting? Do you hear it first, see it, feel it? Well, I have a better idea. Use your dominant sense.
Don't just count out a bunch of different things you see or hear or feel. If that isn't working out for you, then try using your 5 senses differently. Use your 'dominant' sense and use that to ground yourself in your dr.
Now, what I mean by dominant sense is your strongest sense. When I tell you to visualize something, which comes in the strongest? Can you hear the thing, see it, feel it, taste it? Either way, use that. Summon up that feeling and use it to ground you. As far as you know with your eyes closed, you're already in your dr. For a lot of people, putting up scented candles that remind you of your dr and pretending you're smelling your dr is really useful.
Be creative with shifting! Have fun with it! Don't stress out and do the fun stuff. Try different methods and experiment with them. For a lot of people, traditional methods just don't work. I don't even use methods. I just kinda vibe and stuff and try my best to 'feel' my dr emotionally. You can shift with basically any method, or without one. All that really matters is your mindset. Do you think you can shift? If you can't, you probably won't. It's a belief thing. Like manifestation. All you need to do is believe in yourself and any method you try will work.
