I just played papercut and god I played all the endings I really wish they all had happier endings, but over all I loved it great job!
kankri-vantas-for-president ohmygoodness! I’m so sorry i thought i replied to this already. Anyway thank you so much! Glad you liked it. It was fun to make, and Jubbz and I still talk about that game occassionally.
So I finished up the prologue, and I'm on Hawk's route now. I don't think this'll be a very long game, since I'm kinda behind. But I don't want to rush it either. Hopefully i can finish hawk's route in a couple of days. Also, the prologue really just has one choice being that I have to kinda speed things up. Each route will probably not have too many choices either maybe 3 tops? depending...
Hopefully, I can finish this by the end of the month, but it might be a little late too. since i gotta work usually 4 days a week and sometimes im too tired from work and i gotta go to bed early so i loose a few days. But, no matter what I will finish this game!
(Not to mention i need to relearn renpy, and im kinda rusty on photoshop too >_< )
Thrift Store Tales
So, I took awhile to make this post because I spent this last week not sure if I even wanted to go with this, or another story, or just opt out completely. I started writing some but wasnt happy with it at all! I found it to be boring. So today I rewrote it from the start, and found myself enjoying it more. I cut out a lot from the begining as thers no need for so much detail. Unfortunaley this puts me a week behind >_< but ill catch up! I'll try to finish the rough draft in a week.
Also, I realized that I never talked about the game at all that I wanted to work on for nanoreno2015! Anyway, it's called Thrift Store Tales (because if this does well i might wanna cont. it with other short vn stories) it's about a girl who starts working a thrift store only to find out the items take human form at night time!
I wanted to make an otome game, but I think this one might be kinda light on the romance. focusing more on character interactions and such. I'm not sure, I'll see as I write it lol.
Not including the main char. There's 3 more (possible love interests?)
PJ - the cute sleepy pair of pajamas. He's quiet and kinda shy. very sleepy! He grows attatched to the MC very quickly. Likes to snuggle.
Hawk - the kinda nerdy/kinda nervous skateboard! He hates the idea of being ridden, quite fearful! So he's a little nervous of that. He's much more interested in comic books, and wish he was one instead of a skateboard.
Cam - the camera who wants to be a painter! He was once owned by an art student, and loved watching her paint. since they he had always wished he could paint instead of take pictures.
Anyway, that's all I have so far, sorry it's not much. I talked to my friend about doing the art and she was cool with it. so maybe i can finish the roughdraft before she comes up here next week so i can talk to her about it more. I'll be doing the writing and programing. Hopefully my friend can do the art. and the rest will just be common licence/free to use stuff (like for music and SFX). Wish me luck! ~

I'm back and going to be using this blog to be posting about my nanoreno project! which i already have in mind yay! its been so long since i made a VN or used renpy (i uh kinda forgot how to use it tbh >_> ) so im using this as more of a practice VN. they writing and programing will be done by me. i asked my friend if she could do the art and she seems down for it, so hopefully. other than that ill probably be using common licenced things.

i kinda wish i had participated in the PPHSJ afterall cuz idk looks like fun? i wonder if i still can... i do have this game script half written up i might aswell finish it and at least make a game if not for the PPHSJ for just cuz and practice.
i really wanna try and make little games as practice cuz that way when WWOH is released i wont be a total newb and maybe ppl can be like "oh ok i know kinda what to except from the ppl who made WWOH."
oooooor i can get off mylazy but and go back to working on WWOH >_> that intro aint gonna write itself >_<

Papercut 95% Complete!
I just need to add in the sound effects and music. hand it over to the writer and artist so they can test it out, do any final changes, and it's completely done. I'm pretty much done with coding tho, other then those things... so by this weekend it should be ready to give to the writer and artist to test out. I think we'll finish this early <3
Papercut Progress
It seems the writer is almost done with the script and should finish soon.
The sprites are pretty much finished as well.
I just need to wait to read over the script and I can start coding it into renpy. Hopefully, I can finish it within a week, and maybe we can even get it out a little early.
I'm looking forward to the final product! Hopefully people will like it, if not it was still fun to do.

It's that time of the year again! Where lemmasoft is holding thier annual nanoremo. The chance to make a VN in one month.
Last year, I (cidz) worked on it solo and made a silly little VN called The Forgetful Kiwi. This year, I thought I'd ask my friend Jubbz to do the writing, I'll do the programing. And we found an artist, roundmetal, to do the art!
Papercut is about a lonely housewife who is growing desperate for attention, because her husband is too busy working to give her any. She starts noticing the paperboy, and starts liking him more and more due to his kindness, which eventually leads to a torrid love affair! =O
It'll be a 2nd person POV game. I'll be sure and post updates here as we get more of them. I think it'll be fun game full of debauchery and drama!

I'm just going to go on a mini rant but DEAR GOD I NEVER KNEW PLANNING OUT A BRANCH OR WHATEVER WAS SO HARD WHYYYYYY O_O
I finally figured out a system in which to break up the intro route (of WWOH) with a series of choices to eventually narrow it down from 6 guys to 1 guy.
but my room is LITTERED with papers scattered all over the floor, from redoing and trying to rethinking the best possible way to do this.
I finally figured it out, I think. It looks like it could work on paper. but then again so does string theory until you try to walk to through a wall...buut yeah, I'll probably try to do a mock up tomorrow on renpy and see if it works.
BUT SERIOUSLY WHY YOU SO HARD BRANCH PLANNING WHYYYYY
