at first aiden was the type to go ALL out for ashlyn's bday [and his friends bdays in general] [think mr peanutbutter aha] but after a while he started doing smaller, more personal gestures. he still plans things, and does still find a way to blow money.
tyler and taylor do most of the baking for birthdays and stuff, ashlyn doesn't talk much about her preferences for food so taylor sorta just had to work it out of ashlyn [begging to know everyday until ashlyn caved,,].
for birthdays they all hang out in the graveyard, or they go to the arcade or park. ashlyn prefers going to the arcade, but since she doesn't do well in busy, loud situations, aiden books the place.
before meeting the gang, ashlyn never really celebrated her birthday. she and her family had dinner together, maybe went out for dinner or something like that, but ashlyn just didn't like parties and that stuff. when she met the gang, it was the first time she really celebrated her birthday in a traditional sense. now she has cake! + time skip thing, if they ever had normal lives, they'd go ALL out for all their birthdays to celebrate being normal.
ashlyn's favorite cake is carrot cake or german chocolate cake[??], and her birthday dinner has ALWAYS been something like grilled vegetables and some sort of meat [though personally i think she'd be either pescatarian or straight up vegan (pescatarian because i'm pescatarian lols)]
gifts they'd give ash;
aiden - literally anything. if she mentioned anything a few weeks before her birthday, aiden would make sure to get her it. most of the time, it's vinyls or a good pair of boots.
ben - something personalized, like a custom burnt cd & items of that category.
logan - he probably has a FUCKTON of photographs, so like ben, he gives her those type of sentimental things. photos of positive moments, books, that stuff.
taylor - custom made jewelry and stuff she's made, very one of a kinda stuff !!
tyler - NO GIFTS. doesnt gift anyone. he does do gestures though, like he'll make her food, that typa stuff. [he's a very acts of service guy,, trust me]
how would you get along with each of the main six if you were part of the group? in the case that their group needed seven people, not six yk

ashlyn: I'd like to think me and ash would be close. we can both sit in silence and just chill yk? I'm also a dancer! I would trust her with anything and I think we'd be able to relate to each other a lot. she's honestly my goals in life! I think she'd fw me bc I think she likes sweet people and I seem to be widely considered as sweet so yeah (holy self glaze buddy pack it up)
aiden: I think we would be like best friends! he has so much energy and is the sweetest guy ever. I think we would get along well because he seems to enjoy physical touch and so do I. he is someone I could see myself relating to and confiding in!
logan: I feel like we would be chill. like he's super smart and I love to learn so I feel like he could teach me a lot just by being friends! he's so shy which I totally relate to so I feel like we would warm up to each other fast. i also have a history of bullying so we have that in common
tyler: hmm he's a toughie. i really love him sm but I feel like we would bicker a lot. I think it would be very sibling/friendly banter that is all in good fun. I think I would ragebait him quite a bit lol. but he likes sports and stuff and I love softball/baseball so it would be smth we could do together.
taylor: me and her would be like sisters fr! we're both gossipers (in a nice way I don't do shit talking). I love to do hair and makeup and do cute outfits and so does she so we would defo do that tgt! also one on one girl sleepovers!!!
ben: me and ben would be hella tight fr. we both enjoy drawing so that's a start. but honestly I js feel like we'd vibe yk? he seems rlly funny even though he doesn't show it often

6. aiden: my cat would NOT fw with him. he'd likely run and hide in a cabinet upon seeing that kid. if aiden ever got too close he'd probably be scratched, too.
5. taylor: zander wouldn't like her at first, but if he was around her enough he'd warm up to her ! he would definitely pretend he didn't like her though because he's a brat.
4. logan: honestly the only reason he doesn't rank higher is because i headcanon logan is allergic to cats. my cat would probably try to be around logan because of his soft nature, but he'd stop overtime as long as he's warded off enough.
3. tyler: his and zander's relationship would be the inverse of zander and taylor's. zander would be chill with him, and tyler would pretend he didn't gaf. this would become hard over time however, as tyler would probably warm up eventually.
2. ashlyn: zander would like her and she actually doesn't care. she'd show no affection to that cat whatsoever, and that is exactly why he would like her in the first place.
1. ben: my cat would hang around ben the most ! ben's quiet demeanor would attract my cat, and he'd likely try to follow ben out the door when he leaves. ben would only offer pets when he was comfortable, and leave him alone if not !!
