This mod adds rabbithole daycare for babies and toddlers!
This is a script mod that can be placed in yourĀ PackagesĀ folder. It was built and tested on 1.69 but should work fine on 1.67.

Rabbithole Daycare
Babies and toddlers in their cribs have the option of sending themselves away for daycare.
All daycare options are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week - including holidays!
Attending daycare will decrease a baby or toddlerās Hygiene and Energy motives, but increase theirĀ FunĀ motive (unless they have the LonerĀ trait).
HygieneĀ will also decrease faster or slower if a baby or toddler has the SlobĀ orĀ NeatĀ trait, respectively.
Babies have one option for daycare calledĀ Little Sprouts Infant Care (Ā§10/per hour)Ā and will have their motives taken care of as needed.
Toddlers can go to basic daycare, where they will learn foundational skills like walking, talking, and potty training, or they can attend one of the specialized daycares that build hidden skills like painting and logic.
Specialized daycares require certain foundational skills before toddlers can enroll. They will also cost more per hour than basic daycare.
The household will be charged an initial fee, and then by the hour.
The full amount will be deducted from the household funds once the baby or toddler is finished with daycare.
Tiny Tots Daycare (Ā§10/per hour)
Requirements: None
Skills Taught: Walking, Talking, and Potty Training
Imagination Station (Ā§30/per hour)
Requirements: Must be potty trained and able to walk
Skills Taught: Painting, Sandbox (sculpting), and Xylophone (musical instruments)
Early Erudite Learning Center (Ā§30/per hour)
Requirements: Must be potty trained and able to talk
Skills Taught: Charisma, Pegbox (logic), and Writing
Regardless of which option you choose, toddlers will have their motives taken care of as needed, and they will have a chance to meet other toddlers in the world.
After meeting other toddlers at daycare, toddlers can play with them to increase theirĀ SocialĀ motive and build friendships (unless they have the LonerĀ trait).
Each time a toddler leaves daycare, they have a chance of getting either the positiveĀ Happy About HomeĀ buff or the negativeĀ Upset About LeavingĀ buff about going home.

Happy About Home:Ā Given when a toddler sim is happy after leaving daycare, lasts 4 hours, +20 mood
Upset About Leaving:Ā Given when a toddler sim is upset after leaving daycare, lasts 4 hours, -20 mood

Mod Recommendations
I would recommend theĀ leave the baby home mod by climbingsideways to prevent the babysitter pop up if sims try to leave the lot while the baby or toddler is away at daycare.
Conflicts & Known Issues
This is a new script mod so there shouldnāt be any conflicts.

Edit: I realized I forgot to change her eye color, so I had to go back into the game, change it, and edit my post! š
My first Sim I actually tried using Sliders on. I tend to just merge presets together and keep them the way they are, but this time I merged presets and used a few sliders to change her up. Her face shape more so than anything else.
I am considering starting a new Lepacy on my Youtube Channel so I needed a fully new sim, none of my already existing ones, which I tend to recycle, lol.
Her Name and Personality are based on Val Serano, a custom follower for Skyrim, by Axarien.
I have been playing with this Mod for the last few days and I am super obsessed with Val. His writing is exceptional, he is such a great character and Krimson, his Voice Actor, did an amazing job, bringing him to life. My words don't do Val justice and I am just not good enough with them, or expressing myself, to praise this Mod well enough.
I can only recommend to try it for yourself, if you want to experience something new in Skyrim.
He is also romanceable and his romance made me feel like a Teenager experiencing her first love, giggling and kicking my feet! lmao.
Val's full name is Valerius (which he hates btw), so choosing a female name close to it was rather easy. My boyfriend really likes the name Valeria, but the Founder of my first Youtube Lepacy Challenge was already named Valeria, so I decided on Valerie (que Amy Winehouse's song, Valerie)
He is a Pirate, Thief and a Liar.
He hates getting up in the morning, doesn't like to follow orders and loves sweetrolls.
So for Valerie's Traits I went with
Heavy Sleeper, Kleptomaniac, Night Owl, Sailor, and also added clumsy, to give her something of her own personality, as I couldn't really think of something to go with, for the Liar part.
I was also thinking of giving her Adventurous, but I hate traveling in the Sims 3 , due to it bloating the save so fast and we don't really have any pirate-ish vacation worlds.
Klepto is one of my favorit traits so I never pass on a chance to add it to my Sims, lol.
Her favorits are Key Lime Pie and the color Blue.
I went with Key Lime Pie because Val loves sweetrolls (he tends to steal them out of your inventory).
And I chose Blue because his custom clothes are all colored blue, or have blue, or shades of blue in them.
Valerie's Zodiac Sign is Cancer. Val will tell you that he was born 30th of Midyear, which is 30th June in real life. Which corresponds to Cancer.
I decided on red hair for her, since blonde didn't really fit her, and I love red-heads (I was born a red irl but turned blonde to brown while getting older, so I am a dyed red now).
And I guess that is her. lol
I love how she turned out and I am just really obsessed with my new Default Skin and Eyes, so I currently enjoy making my own Sims or, more so, giving make overs in my Occult Moonlight Falls save.

I got tired of hunting down the same "must-have" fixes every time I reinstalled The Sims 2 (to the point where it has kept me from playing), so I made a tool that does it for you! š„³ You choose the fixes, mods, and tools you want, click through, and it installs them all ā with automatic backups and a built-in undo, so nothing is permanent and nothing gets lost.
It works with both the 2025 Legacy Collection (Steam and EA App) and the older Ultimate Collection.
ā ļø One heads-up: I only own Legacy (on Steam) and the Ultimate Collection, so I haven't been able to test the EA App or Epic versions of the Legacy Collection myself. They should work, but if you run into any issues on those, please let me know and I'll push out a fix!

What is it?
The Sims 2 Essentials Setup Tool is a single Windows installer (.exe file). Instead of downloading, unzipping, and hand-placing dozens of separate fixes, you run one program, choose what you want from a checklist, and it puts everything in the right place for you.
There are three quick presets so you don't have to think too hard:
Recommended ā the sensible default set.
Complete ā everything.
Custom ā start from a blank slate and pick only what you want.
What's included
Everything here is curated to work together and this isn't a random pile of downloads. I checked every package against the others for conflicts (comparing the actual game resources each one touches), dropped or swapped anything that clashed, and set the load order in the few cases where two mods needed to coexist. So you can tick things freely without worrying that two fixes will quietly fight each other.

Anti-corruption & core ā the safety-critical stuff that keeps your neighborhoods healthy.
Bug fixes ā dozens of fixes for Maxis bugs, from memory issues to gameplay glitches.
Helpful gameplay mods ā quality-of-life tweaks that just make the game nicer to play.

Third-party tools: SimPE, Mootilda's HoodChecker / LotAdjuster / Sims2Pack Clean Installer, and Body Shop for the Legacy Collection.
Backups & undo
This is the part I care about most: before the tool changes or replaces any file, it backs up your original first (to C:\ProgramData\The Sims 2 Essentials Setup Tool\backups). To undo anything, just run the tool again and choose Undo ā you get a checklist and can roll back everything or only certain pieces. It does not add itself to "Add or remove programs"; it stays fully self-contained.

For the "Missing" content (IKEA / Music / Holiday), your own UC or disc files
How to use it
First, a friendly nudge: back up your Sims 2 "Documents" folder. The tool shouldn't touch your saves, neighborhoods, or downloads ā and it automatically backs up anything it does change ā but it's always better safe than sorry. Just copy your Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2ā¦ folder somewhere safe before you start. (Besidesā¦ when was the last time you backed up your saves? š)
Download the .exe. It's unsigned (normal for community tools), so if Windows SmartScreen pops up, click More info ā Run anyway.
Right-click the .exe and choose "Run as administrator" ā it needs admin rights because it writes into your game folder.
Pick your edition, confirm your Documents folder, tick what you want, and click through.
That's it. To undo later, run it again and choose Undo.
A note on CEP
CEP isn't bundled in the installer ā Numenor asks that it only be hosted on Mod The Sims. So if you tick it, the tool downloads it directly from MTS at install time. None of Numenor's files are redistributed here. That does mean CEP is the one thing you can't install while offline ā but everything else in the tool works completely fine with no internet connection.

A quick heads-up on my philosophy, though: I originally built this for myself, and I like my game as close to vanilla as possible. So mods that change gameplay in a big way, or add features that were never in the base game to begin with, generally aren't ones I'll bundle. This isn't meant to be an "everything" list, but I'm always glad to consider suggestions, so don't be shy about sharing what you'd love to see!
