I never used to leave comments but since I got into the habit of commenting on everything i enjoy it's been incredible. Especially when the author gets back to me about it and we get to have a discussion of what other ideas they had. One writer replied to my comment with a 5 paragraph essay detailing the Floorplan of the building the characters lived in and it was incredible

Anyways this is all to say that if you find a fic that just makes you want to scream from the rooftops, leave a comment saying that to the author and maybe they will join you and you can scream incoherently together

Years after Young Justice find Conner and put a stop to Project Cadmus, the old building had been left abandoned as the various heroes were busy with other matters.

That was until reports of an eerie green glow was reported being spotted through the windows, so the heroes go to investigate.

They find the top floors mostly empty and full of dust, until they get to one room that clearly had someone squatting in it.

They then make their way down to the hidden underground lab and are greeted with the sight of 4 cloning tubes filled with what they recognize as lazarus water.

They step closer but a stopped by a girl with long white hair and green glowing eyes the same shade as the cloning pods.

She tells them to leave and forget what they saw, but of course they don't and due to some misunderstandings things get violent.

In the fight one of the cloning tubes gets cracked and the girl slams whoever cracked it into the ground, yelling about them hurting her brother.

There has been some speculation about why this is happening at all, and the best guess is that this is a feature that AI-training story-scraping tools are implementing to try and make their browsing traffic look legitimate

I love your vision, I love your message, and I want to add on. There is a much more common MRI safety fact that people really need to be aware of: radiofrequency burns.

Here's a poster from the U.S. FDA! In summary:

Do not wear any street clothes into an MRI. That includes socks and underwear.

Let the ordering doctor and technician know if you have any tattoos.

Do not make skin-to-skin contact with yourself. No clasping your hands, crossing your legs, grasping your hips. Fat and particularly large patients, ask your technician for additional padding to insulate.

Do not have a coiled call cord or have it touching you. The alert button should remain in your hand for easing pressing, but tell the technician if it's wrapped up or pressed against you.

Press the alert button and let the technician know ASAP if you start feeling hot. If it's psychosomatic, you moving or trying to get out due to panic will negate the ability to take clear imaging. If it's somatic, that is a pain signal that you are burning. Either way, imaging should stop for readjustments.

I got singed from my last MRI due to an inexperienced technician. The sensation went from "huh, did they turn on a heater?" to "why do I feel like I'm being baked". It was kind of similar to the feeling of drinking alcohol or getting CT contrast. Not painful, but uncomfortable and bizarre.

Thankfully, things were very easily sorted after I spoke up. The sensation stopped immediately, and imaging proceeded smoothly after some quick adjustments. My burn was comparable to a mild sunburn (minus the radiation), and it was gone in a couple days. This is also the only time I've ever had this happen in an MRI.

In summary: be honest with your care providers, and communicate with them if something feels wrong.

Yes, a lot of medical testing can be scary! Being scared is not just okay, it's extremely normal. Understanding your own healthcare as a patient is extremely important for your safety and care, though.

That's especially true in a post-pandemic medical system. Healthcare has been overtaxed across the globe. Patients and providers alike are going to feel the effects of that for years to come. Those of us who are extremely reliant on frequent healthcare feel it the most acutely. Asking questions, staying aware, and practicing self-advocacy are all important steps to ensure you get the care that you need.

hey writers if you want to make a metaphor for racism, please maybe remember that racism is literally based on nothing. Africans weren’t enslaved en masse because the Robo-Musa threatened to destroy the world, they were enslaved because it was economically rewarding and politically convenient. This takes place right after Valerie has gotten her new suit. She and Danny have not yet broken up, but Valerie is questioning if she is putting him in danger.

Damon knows Valerie is the Red Huntress. He is afraid for her safety, but he already tried to stop her by confiscating her weapons and only thing that lead to was her putting herself in the middle of a fight where she didn't have her gear to protect herself.

There are references to things that happened in the episode "Flirting with disaster", so here is a quick recap for anyone who needs it:

Valerie saw her old suit (controlled by Technus) go after Danny.

She fought with the possessed suit without any of her weapons, but hid before Phantom showed up.

Then she watched Phantom blast her old suit to pieces, without knowing that Phantom knew she wasn't in the suit.

Later in the episode Technus made her a new suit (I don't think Valerie is aware it was made by Technus but she should at least suspect it might be ghostly origin).

The comic takes place soon after this.

I watched this episode multiple times while making the comic. It's honestly a really fun episode with Technus playing Matchmaker, Danny and Val getting to know each other and Damon being a good and attentive father, I recommended watching it :)

Also seeing "yourself" being blown up to pieces is quite dark and I think that's something that will haunt Valerie for a while. Just the realization that Phantom could have killed her. That was something he was capable of doing. Her old suit didn't have a chance against him. (And I think eventually she will see through her fear and hatred and realize that Phantom had been intentionally holding back and trying not to hurt her, but not yet. For now the incident is just making her distrust him and ghosts in general even more)
