Luke Skywalker
I had a lot of difficulty painting this piece– not because of the technical aspects, but because of my emotional attachment to the character and Mark Hamill himself. The original trio are getting older, and the reality that there will come a point when the new generations will not know who Luke Skywalker, Leia Organa, and Han Solo are absolutely devastated me. I have always identified the most with Luke, out of any character in the Star Wars universe. He was just like me: a farmboy with big dreams, desperate to be more than just another schmuck in the dust. I ran around the pastures, making horrible lightsaber noises as I swung a stick around, fighting my own Sith in the middle of a golden field. Dreaming of making my mark in a world that would never really know who I was. Even now, at thirty years old, I still fantasize of being Luke, just waiting for my moment. Mark Hamill is one of those rare souls in the industry that has never turned his back on his fandom; he has poured an almost endless sea of love into us– and we really don’t deserve him. One of my biggest pains in life, is that I will likely never get to personally meet him, and tell him how much his existence means to me– both as Luke, and himself. And how he taught me to dream big, and believe I can become anything.
Padme and Anakin get married at sunset, not a good sign. That’s the sun setting on their relationship and any hopes on them being together. Hera and Kanan, «I’ll see you again», the sun sets on their hug, no you won’t see anything, ever, again.
Freddie Prinze Jr. in First Order Transmissions #197.

I NEED TO SCREAM AT SOMEONE AND CHOKE SOMeone while at it
That said,
Kanan & Hera first meet is in a novel called A New Dawn.
Dawn, instead of Sunset.

I just remembered that CALEB’S LAST LIGHTSABER EXERCISE WITH DEPA HAPPENED AS THE SUN SET ON KALLER.
Fuck this shit I’m so emotionally compromised

current mood: that ridiculous scream r2d2 does when something shitty happens to him
Logic: Not a thing the Jedi do.
“Only the Sith believe in absolutes!”
-Obi Wan Kenobi
Do you consider that to be an absolute statement?
Evidently, logical fallacies aren’t something the Jedi Temple teaches its members to guard against.
Things I wonder about in Star Wars.
1. How much is a Republic or Imperial credit worth in US dollars? That has never been clear to me.
2. How did Darth Maul survive being cut in half? He should not have survived that and don’t give me the whole ‘Spite kept him alive’ bit. That’s bullcrap right there. What kept him alive was dumbass force logic, stupid luck, and nothing else.
3. Who wrote the Jedi Code to include no attachments? Was it Spock? Was it a Jedi that recently lost a loved one? Or was it a joke made by the Sith that the Jedi took seriously?
4. Why is Yoda disturbed that Anakin is fearful? He’s 9, was previously a slave where people did Force Knows What to him, his only family is on a whole other planet, and they had been attacked by Maul before leaving the planet and now a bunch of creepy old dudes are staring at him. If he WASN’T scared I’d be concerned.
5. While we are on the subject of fear, isn’t fearing fear a fear? If I recall it even has a name: Phobophobia. This would mean that all ‘good’ Jedi break the no fear rule ALL THE TIME.
6. If the Republic is against slavery, how do they justify using slaves to fight their battles for them?
7. How does the Republic support a religious group that basically practices a form of slavery but without the buying and selling bit?
8. How could they support any group that takes newborns from their parents and raises them in a religion they did not choose along with training them to be soldiers and telling them not to have attachments?
9. What makes Dark Side abilities evil? I could see how they would be useful to a blind force user.
Ezra’s “My new space dad is way cooler than you” face
jedi council: acts condescending
jedi council: scolds people for doing whats right
jedi council: forces jedi to give up their emotions and family
jedi council:
jedi council: why is everyone leaving and joining the sith
Reblog this post if you are a part of the Star Wars fandom. I want to know how many jedi are on tumblr.
“haha yeah i did the same fuckin thing” -luke, probably
Remember that time Kanan was in a sticky situation and Ezra pretended to be his son and Kanan went along with it
good times
In 2BBY, Ezra Bridger left the rebellion after the death of his Master and adoptive father, Jedi Knight Kanan Jarrus. He sought out an old acquaintance, the Weequay pirate Hondo Ohnaka, whom had previously invited Bridger to join his crew, and together they formed a new band of pirates in the outer rim.
After Ohnaka’s death in 4ABY, Ezra Bridger became ‘Pirate Captain Dev Morgan’ and led his band of pirates in strikes against both imperial and corporate vessels within his sector. Due to his previous association with the Rebel Alliance, Captain Morgan ordered his men not to attack any ship bearing the Rebel Starbird (although this was not known to anyone outside of the crew other than the Alliance Leaders).
Both the Rebel Alliance and later the Resistance attempted many times to get Captain Morgan and his crew to join them, but each time they were met with a sharp rebuttal.
- A Brief History of the Rebel Alliance by General Leia Organa.
Okay so I might have used that scenario generator post (that I can’t find atm) and gotten ‘Pirate Ezra Bridger’ and well….this happened.
