This is a place where I stash stuff I find interesting pertaining to the fandoms I enjoy (my general blog is @whitebeakedraven). Tend to put my main focus on one fandom at a time, but others are definitely sprinkled in as well.
Everything will be tagged with the fandom and the characters that appear.
Sometimes I also write! May it be fics or me divulging some of my headcanons and thoughts.

These will be updated as I go, so keep an eye on any changes.
In general, hope you enjoy your stay. Wish you a good one!
Comic study for this move from DMC 5, starting at 1:42 (I love outmaneuver moves lol). Let it be known I watched this 5 seconds like on repeat and sometimes in 0.25 speed. It’s easier to tap on and see the whole thing btw.
I did add a bit of expressions for the characters but the rest is the same thing. Also Nero’s face is very easy to draw but his clothes and the Red Queen are nightmare incarnated. While Vergil’s clothes are easier but his face is a bit hard, I do not want him to look too young lol, let that man age a bit. Had that one time saw on Pinterest someone tried to smooth out his face like brother why??
Overall learnt a lot with paneling and scene framing yay.
This scene was actually so sad and I want to ramble about it. Though Nero is talented, he was still a kid here. He didn't have much of a handle on his demonic abilities because he didn't know he had them until a short while ago. And then he gets literally crucified for having demonic abilities-- something he'd been afraid of since the religious cult he was raised in preached death to all demons (lol)-- only to be saved by the Yamato (unknowingly the same way his father was also saved by the sword as a kid). And after he temporarily takes out his captor, Nero falls to his knees and frantically puts his human hand over his heart and chest like he's trying to see if he's still alive, if his heart is still beating after having been nearly killed and severally injured. And given that he knows so little about his abilities, & based on how the scene is described in the novel, it seems like he thought he was *dying*.
But the worst part is when he just sits there rocking himself back and forth laughing, but it sounds like he's going to cry. But he has to push himself to continue on anyway because there is no one to protect him now. Credo sold him out and no one is coming to his rescue so he has to end this himself to save Kyrie.
Fandom: Devil May Cry
No ships, focused mainly on Nero and Vergil, though Dante will eventually show up.
Summary:
Weakened from his defeat as Nelo Angelo, Vergil has been in the grasp of Agnus and used to create the Angelos. Through a twist of fate he manages to get a broken Yamato early, but he's not entirely there mentally. Teen Nero has a no good bad horrible day and gets kidnapped for his trouble.

What was Dante’s problem?! She had gone to see him, offering him a premium job, a 30% cut even. It even seemed like it was the real deal, but the moment she’d mentioned Red Grave he’d shut her down.
Lady had known Dante for what felt like ages at this point, and he was occasionally a tough nut to crack, and she had to leverage his debt to her often enough that she hadn’t expected him to agree immediately or anything - but this time he’d completely shut her down. Shown her to the door and told her in no uncertain terms that he was sure she could handle whatever was going on in Red Grave.
Then he’d shut the door with her standing on the doorstep. Just shut it! In her face! She’d never! She was outraged, but it was also so out of character that she actually felt kinda worried.
Now she was entering the city limits of Red Grave City proper. The harbor was on her right as she sped between the cars held back by traffic on the bridge that was the major southern thoroughfare.
Red Grave City was a major trading hub, well-connected both with its harbor and rail connections. It had been this region’s centre of power for centuries and these days it was a city of millions. It was another one of those cities that claimed Sparda had founded it or ruled it - which either Dante’s dad had been very enterprising, considering the amount of places around the world with similar claims or somebody was lying.
It was a cheap claim to make in any case, unlikely to insult anyone but those nutcases on Fortuna.
Now Lady wasn’t disparaging people for believing Sparda had existed. Her family history was pretty damned tied to that cursed legend, and her best friend was the half demon son of Sparda, there was just no denying. But the ones who revered a demon as some sort of god, even one as seemingly benign as Sparda, now those she had a hard time respecting.
She turned off the main road, swerving in front of a car whose driver couldn’t seem to decide whether they actually wanted to turn or not, but sure could decide to honk. Lady didn’t acknowledge in any way, she was already halfway down that street and leaning into another turn.
She slowed down as the ornate buildings on her left were replaced by a large park. She couldn’t put her finger on what exactly had caught her attention with the park, maybe it was just the fact that it was different scenery.
Eventually she arrived at her destination: A small local Pub, which was quiet this early in the afternoon. She’d gotten there early and after ordering a pint, she sat down where she had a good view of the door.
It was barely fifteen minutes, before a nervous man made his way inside. He looked like he was early thirties, short, light brown hair. His eyes had dark bags underneath and, Lady raised her eyebrows, she’d known he was law enforcement but if she wasn’t mistaken he was carrying his service weapon, badly concealed by his jacket. She wondered if he had a permit for that or if his potentially supernatural encounter made him scared enough he didn’t care about repercussions.
He looked around as if ready to bolt, and his eyes quickly fell on Lady. He walked over.
“You’re Robbie’s contact?” He asked.
“I am.”
He looked skeptical, but pulled out a chair and sat down. They sat in silence for a while, with the guy barely restraining himself from squirming. Finally he couldn’t take anymore:
“Robbie, told me you wouldn’t make fun of me,” the man said.
Lady leaned forward slightly. “Demons aren’t a laughing matter.”
The man instantly relaxed. “So you really think it might have been? It’s really the only explanation.”
“Why don’t you start from the beginning, before we get ahead of ourselves.”
“Oh yes of course.”
He started telling her of the event, how it started with a regular call of a disturbance, some guy had stolen some baked goods off a stall. The guy was apparently carrying around a sword in broad daylight too, so a bit out of the usual but they saw all kinds of weirdos in Red Grave, it was a big city.
They had found the suspect by the end of the day, a homeless person with a sword. Blocked him off. Told him to stop and surrender.
He had not. He had continued walking forward. So they gave a warning shot, which had no effect. The man continued. They opened fire, but the guy did something, that reflected all their bullets-
“And he just wouldn’t stop. He was gonna kill us all, the way he moved - it wasn’t human, you have to believe me.” He looked at Lady imploringly. “I’m not going crazy.”
“How did you survive?”
“Huh?” He asked, taken off guard.
“You said he was gonna kill, you all, then how come you’re alive?”
His face twisted and Lady knew instantly he was about to lie to her, but why he had reason to was anyone’s guess. “I don’t know. It’s all a blur.”
“Did anyone die?”
“No.”
“Then I have to say, it sounds rather unlikely it was a demon. Unless someone intervened…” she trailed off, hoping he’d fill in but while it was clear to her someone had definitely intervened, for whatever reason the guy was unwilling.
“What happened then?”
“I don’t- We don’t know for sure. There’s reports, break-ins, witnesses, all points towards the demon leaving the city, going roughly south.”
“If it’s a demon.”
“Don’t you start too!” He grabbed his short hair, leaning his elbows on the table. “They all think I’m mad, I’m suspended from work, and Molly, she took the kids to visit her mother-“
Well, that certainly answered whether Tom here had permission to carry that gun. Lady stood up.
“I’ll need the contact info from the vendor.”
“Vendor?” He asked hesitantly.
“Who had their baked goods stolen.”
“So you’re taking the job?”
“If you can afford the price.”
“Anything, I just need to know that it’s dead.”
Poor Molly would have even more grounds for divorce once Lady collected her fee, but that wasn’t really her problem.
Oo o oO
Lady found the vendor, as she was closing up her stall for that same Saturday market that had sparked the incident a week ago. She greeted the preoccupied woman and asked if she could tell her about what had happened.
“Huh, oh the homeless guy?”
Lady raised an eyebrow at the clear lack of trauma or even real interest. “Didn’t you get robbed?”
“Well, I suppose, though it was just some pastries and not the money box, and honestly in retrospect I’m not even really sure why I was so freaked out about it that I called the coppers. Like yes, his glare was freaky, but really what do you expect from a homeless guy in that state?”
“Can you tell me what he looked like?”
“I’m not sure, blue eyes definitely, but he was wearing this absolutely ratty cloak. He seemed really unwell, in retrospect, like he could use a good meal, but then he gave the pastries to the kid.”
Lady did a double take. “Kid? What kid?”
“He was with a kid, or I suppose a teenager. Looked like a bit of a punk with that mop of white hair. Dirty clothes, but less raggy.”
The description had her freezing in place. White hair, sure it was possible, but what were the odds?
She excused herself and went to find a phone booth.
“Tom, why don’t you tell me about the kid,” she said immediately when he picked up.
As it turns out there was a kid. Tom couldn’t confirm the white hair, but it had been a light hair color.
“You mean to tell me you started shooting with a kid in the line of fire.”
He spluttered in the background, something about not being proud of it. Lady had no patience for it.
“Tell me what happened and this time no lying.”
Tom didn’t have that much to add to his story in the end. The boy had gotten in between the demon and Tom, like he’d just moved from fifteen yards away to in between Tom and the alleged demon in an instant.
The kid had said he may not be able to stop the demon again if they followed him. That was how Tom had explained it anyways.
It wasn’t much evidence, but put together the evidence was damning. She stalked over to her bike, and shoved her helmet on. If Dante had shut her down over this mission because he had a crazy ex in Red Grave - if he had fathered a kid and just left them - she was gonna murder him.
She hadn’t expected that of Dante, but what did she really know of Dante’s past?
Not much about this made actual sense, and there was only one way to find out. She had to find the kid and the pet demon or whatever. She kickstarted her bike and took off heading south.
It was a well known fact that demons could masquerade as humans, so the fact that this demon was mistaken for a homeless person was not actually that strange. However, when demons masqueraded as humans they usually did so with the purpose of hunting or in trying to bring a more powerful demon topside by manipulating people. They gravitated to positions of power, gladly eating and replacing people as needed.
A homeless person wasn’t really suitable for either purpose.
There was also the terrible possibility that the boy had been abducted by the demon. If the boy truly had the blood of Sparda, who knows what nefarious purpose they could have in keeping him alive.
Lady for one was not in the mood for a redo of the Temen-ni-gru .

I know this is not the most exciting, but it is a necessary interlude, I hope ya'll enjoyed it anyways, seeing a bit of the aftermath of Vergil and Nero's journey. We'll get back to Nero and Vergil in the next part.
Dante did not intend to come out alive from his fight with Vergil and that fact haunts me. He gave the deed to his shop, this thing that's been a constant in his life that's given him purpose. It's not some shop, this is his home. V told him about Urizen and Red Grave City is wrecked AGAIN, it's the Temen-ni-gru all over again, and he starts filing paperwork. Dante barely survived killing Vergil once, the grief haunted him which is made clear in the 2007 anime. Everything in that anime is reminding him that he's an incomplete half of a whole. The biker that loses his brother, the two students of Sparda who were twins. Now his brother's back bringing the apocalypse all over again and Dante feels responsible to take the weight instead of Nero but it doesn't mean he intends to support that weight again. No, no, Dante would rather die than relive Mallet Island all over again
@poppedbubblgum I am sorry but it would be a CRIME to leave this in the tags. YOU, YOU GET IT. "The last hurrah of a dead man." That line hit me right in the chest, it's exactly what I was thinking but worded so much better, holy fuck this is gold
I knew like 3 things about the series when I started and all of them were from dmc5. I spent a lot of time missing Vergil... before he wrecked my property and beat my ass 10000 times
