autistic child of the 90s here, raised in the Bay Area, elementary had Macs at school, family PC at home (and then personal Macs later, then PCs more common at schools).

exposure to multiple systems encourages you to realize preferences, which leads you to reflect on how your brain actually works as opposed to how others say it should work. hint: they quite literally do not and cannot have access to all the inner workings of your brain, so they can pretty easily be wrong.
there's things i love and hate about PC, and things i love and hate about Mac. what i use depends on what i'm trying to do.
at the end of the day, they're just tools, and the best tool is the one that actually works for you for [x] specific task. and sometimes multiple ones can work!
"Mac vs PC" is literally a distraction that sows destructive division among us (at best it's just a waste of time). it's crazy how much my mental health has improved from learning to spot this.
