"Fly Like an Eagle" by the Steve Miller Band in Mindhunter season 1 episode 2 (2019) dir. David Fincher
ā On the surface, the crimes appear random, but Iām not sure heās the madman he makes himself out to be. Thereās just enough pattern to show intention. ā He always shot at women, or women in the company of men. ā And when he shot at couples in cars, he always shot at the passenger side. ā That was used to support the ārandomā argument. Itās the side closest to the sidewalk. No planning, no strategy. Just shoot.
MINDHUNTER 02.02
guys. do you also hallucinate your ex husband wearing a wedding band while you're 70+ years deep in your current relationship with the love of your life or are you normal???
i....found a rare shoegaze tape. legit. band does not exist online. tape is at least 20 years old. This is so Sam
rare tape.
ok ok....track for you from rare tape. ripped by me
I HAVE SOURCED MORE INFO!!!! from my friend who works at an nz audio archive and they HAVE THE TAPE THERE? COVER:
Final info ive put together after i have just looked over the insert notes (inside the other tape) sent to me by my friend:
This band had Steven Wells and Andrew Bain in it - they went on to be in a pretty popular NZ rock band called Fur Patrol from late 90s-2000s, so this is a precursor to that. in the notes they also thank Campbell Kneale, a prolific underground nz musician in bands like Birchville Cat Motel and Black Boned Angel. they also thank "Drinkwater".
alright everyone. after 33k+ notes on an obscure 90s indie song from Aotearoa i gotta admit many want to hear the rest, & as i cant think of a better format to supply this, here's the rest of the tape in this post. please let it stay here where it needs to be, don't spread it like its yours. its not mine either! i now present to you: Clayflower - Still (1993, Aotearoa, Cassette, Shoegaze/Indie Rock)
beautiful and cool obscure music like this is everywhere if you just wanna look for it even for a few minutes. dont let yourself think someone has to come along and show it to you <3
It would have taken another immortal to keep up with him.
so i haven't read the books but i did read the Devil's Minion chapter and this part made me laugh out loud:
Itās so funny that Armand has āethicalā eating habits for a vampire. He finds people he thinks deserve or want to die, and then he convinces them to play a game of cat and mouse with him, and he gets so visibly excited about it heās openly flirtatious. Then he chases them through the streets for a few hours. Basically, heās torturing them. Heās playing with his food. Heās having fun pretending to hunt. āPretendā because if he was really hunting it wouldnāt take him any time at all. Then, once he catches them, he goes through their mind like a filing cabinet and brainwashes them into thinking they want to die, and then he kills them painlessly, which might sound better than throat-ripper Lestatās modus operandi, but what Armand really does is subject people to physical and psychological torture for hours before removing their agency in their final moments. Itās worse. He doesnāt even leave people with their minds or dignity intact. No resistance. No hope. No clarity. Not even your final thoughts are your own. Itās presumably something Armandās injected into your mind that he thinks youāll like. He guts your mind like a fish before doing the same thing to your body and then goes home and is like, wow, another ethical meal for me, unlike all those savages that take bites out of random strangers. Good job, me.

What accent coach is working magic behind the scenes of iwtv. A british man plays an american man with a thick new orleans accent that slowly fades to a standard american accent. Another british man plays an indian man with a french accent that morphs into a british accent. An australian man plays a french man with the strongest most unintelligible french accent youve ever heard
bet daniel's biggest complaint about being turned into a vampire is suddenly louis has him on therapy speed dial AND HE CAN'T DECLINE THE CALL!!
lestat : bonjour daniel, quick question. did you and louis have sex in san francisco he won't tell me he just smirks and shrugs and-
daniel : how did you get my number
do you think louis and lestat were mid reunion when all of a sudden louis just hears daniel go "hey sorry to interrupt but can u come pick me up :) armand bit me :("
imagine living in the iwtv universe with all the modern internet discourse about the power imbalance and age gap relationship between pulitzer prize winning author daniel molloy and his 20-something looking y/o twink reaching max confusion when said younger bf goes on instagram live and and defends himself against the backlash as if he is the older one in the relationship refusing to apologise for being with some 400 years younger than him and not answering any further questions whatsoever
āAnd then I saw the thing in his hands. I knew what it was. And in an instant Iād ripped it from him and was staring at it, at the fragile silken thing that it wasāClaudiaās yellow dress. His hand rose to his lips, his face turned away. And the soft, subdued sobs broke from him as he sat back while I stared at him, while I stared at the dress. My fingers moved slowly over the tears in it, the stains of blood, my hands closing, trembling as I crushed it against my chest. For a long moment it seemed I simply stood there; time had no bearing upon me nor upon those shifting vampires with their light, ethereal laughter filling my ears. I remember thinking that I wanted to put my hands over my ears, but I wouldnāt let go of the dress, couldnāt stop trying to make it so small that it was hidden within my hands.ā ā Interview with the Vampire, Anne Rice
