i’m alive and back, my life has been a chaotic downfall since about december first. sorry for going mia, i’m working on the sugar daddy series again, will start posting it soon!!!!
Summary: Everyone has soulmarks, whether you can see them or not. They don't always appear at birth, instead appearing once the other half of the soulbond is alive.
Most people are born with one mark, for their perfect match, but you... had eight. Your mom said it was a gift, to have so many people who were destined to love you.
But would it be so easy?
Word Count: 4.2k

Video Title: [Stray Kids: SKZ TALKER GO! Season 4] Ep.05 London
(Chan turns on the camera, facing himself. There is a beige wall behind him. He opens his mouth to speak when a louder clatter can be heard off screen. He flinches and sighs.)
Chan: Yah! I'm trying to start the vlog!
Han: (not pictured) And I'm trying to work the coffee machine!
Chan: (shakes his head fondly) These maknaes- No respect, I swear.
(Felix suddenly comes into frame from the right, facing the camera as he squishes his face up next to Chan's)
Felix: Good morning Stays!
Chan: (unphased by Felix's antics) So we're all in London right now. Felix and Hyunjin just got done with a fashion show earlier this week, and now we have some down time to do some touristy stuff.
Felix: (nods) So excited for you guys to see the photoshoots when they come out.
Chan: (looks at Felix) Honestly, they'll probably be out before this video is.
Felix: Even more exciting then!
Chan: But as you might have guessed, it's early morning for us. So we're going to get ready for the day and then we'll take you sight seeing with us, okay?
(Felix waves bye to the camera as Chan covers it with his hand)
(The dark screen shifts to bright as another hand is pulled away from the view, this time belonging to Changbin)
Changbin: Hello. (He does a small wave to the camera) We just arrived at our first stop of the day- Piccadilly Square!
Hyunjin: (stepping up from behind Changbin) It's called Piccadilly Circus.
Changbin: (glances back over his shoulder at him) It is?
Felix: (steps up beside Hyunjin, nodding) Piccadilly Circus is a square, but the name is Circus.
Han: (also appearing) Why is it called a circus if there's no tent or acrobats?
Changbin: Yah, that's such a weird name for it. (He shakes his head) Anyway apparently we're at Piccadilly Circus. We just wanted to be touristy before hopping on the “tube” to go see more stuff.
Jeongin: (pops his head into frame just below Changbin, nearly making Changbin tumble into him, but he is unphased. He beams at the camera) Like Big Ben!
(A slightly higher pitched giggle is heard off screen before it cuts to a montage of the boys taking selfies and various other posed pictures at Piccadilly Circus)
(The next shot shows the boys heading down a flight of stairs to get to the London subway system. The boys now have hats and hoods on and up, with masks covering the bottom portion of their faces. The camera pans from left to right, showing off the station as they come up to wait at a platform)
(The next shot zooms in on a sign that lists out destinations as it scrolls over to announce which line is going to Big Ben)
(The camera faces the ground, showing the shoes of the owner as they step over the gap and onto the tube. The next shot hard cuts to show the boys holding up peace signs, or quietly talking to one another as the train speeds along on its tracks)
(The video cuts again to Felix holding the camera. He waves before raising it up to show the other boys behind him, with Big Ben as the backdrop)
Felix: It's a lot taller than I expected.
Minho: What, did you think it'd be the size of a grandfather clock?
Felix: (gasps in mock offense) That's not what I meant and you know it!
(Minho cackles and walks away)
(Another montage of photos commences. The boys take some serious ones and then try and pose as if they're holding or leaning on Big Ben)
(The shot changes again to show seven of the boys from behind as they walk and skip down the sidewalk. Chan is notably missing, though his chuckle can be heard from behind the camera. Felix and Changbin are holding hands and skipping. On the far right side of the frame, Han can also be seen skipping. For a moment the camera shows his arm reaching out off screen, but it pans back before anything else can be seen)
(The shot cuts to show Han's face, with a hint of Seungmin sitting beside him. Behind them is glass with waterways and a hint of buildings showing through it)
Han: We got a cart all to ourselves!
Seungmin: (leans into frame) Did you know these can fit up to 25 people?
Han: Luckily we don't have that many! (He leans over to Seungmin to fake whisper) Can you picture Stray Kids having 25 members??
Seungmin: (snorts) The dorms would be a nightmare.
(The camera cuts to now show off Changbin and Felix standing in the middle of the frame in the “You know I had to do it to ‘em” pose)
Changbin: MTV, this is my crib.
(He and Felix part ways like a door opening, both holding a hand out towards the middle. The person behind the camera snorts as they step forward and do a slow pan of the glass cart they're in. The various members of Stray Kids are scattered around the cart, sitting and standing as they chat and enjoy the view. They all wave as the camera passes by them, and the camera clearly switches hands at one point to make sure all members get a chance to be in the shot)
(Right before the camera cuts, it pans to show off the view from the cart. As the shot holds, a faint reflection can be seen on the far left side of the frame of someone who does not appear to be one of the eight members of Stray Kids. They're only vaguely visible for a brief moment before the shot cuts again)
(The video shows several shots starting with the camera walking into a restaurant, the boys sitting at a table and chatting, and then the boys eating food. On the lower left corner of the screen is a caption that reads “It's lunch time!” in English and Korean)
(Camera cuts to a front facing shot of Minho in a beige room very similar to the one Chan was filming in at the start of the video)
Minho: We're back at the hotel room to unwind for a bit. A few of the members stepped out to do some window shopping, but tonight we're going on a sunset boat tour on the Thames. (He nods to the camera) We'll see you then.
(The shot instead cuts to an inside view of one of the bedroom doors of the hotel room they're in. Hyunjin opens the door excitedly)
Hyunjin: Shopping haul! Come in, come in.
(The camera walks out of the bedroom and into the main room where Felix, Han, and Hyunjin have a few bags spread out amongst the couches and coffee table)
(The boys take turns showing off different items they got including shoes, tops, socks, and some jewelry. They also show off a few souvenir items they got, laughing at some of the more ridiculous items like a pair of sunglasses shaped like the London Eye)
(As Felix is showing off a new pair of shoes he was particularly happy with, Hyunjin is partially visible taking a small, rectangular box out of a bag. His eyes widen marginally and he quickly shoves it back into the bag before pulling out a different item instead)
(Once the shopping haul concludes, the camera cuts to a shot of a dock. The sun is low on the horizon and people are seem boarding the boat near the side of the frame. In the bottom left corner a caption reads “Sunset boat ride on the Thames”)
(The next few shots are another montage. The camera shows views from over the railing of the boat, shots of the boys admiring the skyline, the boys being playful on the boat, and a few moments of them snapping photos together)
(The camera cuts to a shot of some of the boys in the back of a car together. In the shot you can see Chan with Minho on one side and Hyunjin on the other)
Chan: That was a fun day. We got to see so many things.
Hyunjin: The weather was nice, too.
Chan: Tomorrow we have some interviews, and we'll likely be doing some livestreams soon, too. (He tilts his head) Though, those will have already happened by the time you're seeing this.
(Minho snorts off to the side)
Chan: We hope you enjoyed seeing our day in London! Maybe we'll show some more. Either way- (he holds up half a heart and Hyunjin leans in to complete it) thank you Stay!
(A chorus of thank you Stays and love you Stays can be heard before the scene cuts to a closing shot of the boys all posing together on the dock of the boat tour they'd just done)

The boys were busy when you were, and sometimes when you weren't. They had choreography to practice, interviews to film, as well as some other meetings to attend, virtually and in-person. Any downtime you had that overlapped was spent together.
It was nice, but still surreal.
The day before the vlog came out was the day you finally got to video chat with your mom.
The boys were supposed to swing by in about an hour so you could all go grab dinner. You hadn’t had time to check in with your parents recently, so you decided to fill the time by checking in with them.
Your mom picked up on the second ring, grinning at the camera.
“Ah Y/N! I was wondering when I'd finally hear from you again,” she greeted with a teasing grin.
You smiled. “Sorry, been busy in the UK with a shoot.”
Your mom gave you a look. “Your timer on your wrist ran out nearly two weeks ago, didn't it?”
You blushed, ducking your head at the subtle reprimand. “It did. I'm sorry I didn't call sooner-”
“Oh hush, I'm just picking on ya,” your mom laughed. “I wanted to give you space to be with them first. I know how I was when I met your father. We couldn't be separated for days.”
“Mom,” you groaned. “I didn't need to know that.”
Your mom just laughed more, unrepentant. “It's natural honey! I'm sure you wouldn't have wanted me interrupting your bonding time.” She leaned towards the camera excitedly. “So! Tell me about them!”
You can't help but smile at the thought of your boys, and it makes your mom coo at you. “Well, I already told you that they're a part of a KPop band. It started when I was at work actually-”
You easily lost track of time as you recounted the past two weeks to your mom. You went through how it felt meeting each of them, as well as how they moved their plans around to make sure they could be with you.
“I'm glad they're so gone on you already,” your mom said, hand to her heart. “I knew they would be, how could they not? But when you first told me they all knew each other already… Well, a mother has to worry sometimes!”
“I won't lie and say I wasn't worried at one point, too,” you said softly, “but Chris, Changbin, and Hyunjin always reassured me that everyone was excited to meet me.” You laughed. “Actually, a few of them were nervous to meet me, too!”
“But it went really well! We had about a week of downtime in London before we all traveled over here. They were actually coming to New York anyway so that worked great,” you continued to tell her excitedly. “We did a big day out together and then they all took me on some one on one dates,” you blushed. “It was nice to get to know them more, and actually see them in person finally, too.”
Your mom was just watching you fondly as you gave brief descriptions of the different dates you went on. From the cat cafe with Minho to the botanical gardens with Felix, they'd all been so perfect in their own way.
“Well you better make sure you introduce me to them soon, okay!” You mom told you with a waggle of her finger. “I want to put names to actual faces, not their music videos!”
You blushed. “I promise mom. I haven't met their parents yet either, you know.”
“I better not be last! You hear me Y/N?”
You laughed. “I promise mom.”
Just as you said that, you heard a knock at your hotel room door. You glanced at the time on your phone. An hour had indeed passed.
“They're here right now actually, so I should go-” you tried to say, but your mom just beamed.
“You better not hang up! Go on, let them in!”
You blushed but resigned yourself to your fate. “I'm setting you over here for a second, but I won't hang up, okay?”
You placed the phone down on your bed, ignoring whatever your mom said as you headed over to the door.
Cracking it open, you found Minho, Hyunjin, and Jeongin waiting outside.
You couldn't help but smile. “Hey guys, fancy seeing you here.”
Jeongin snorted and Minho raised an eyebrow. “We literally texted you our ETA.”
You wrinkled your nose. “Sorry, I was on the phone with my mom- still am actually.”
Hyunjin immediately perked up. “Can we say hi?”
Your blush deepened, and Minho smirked. “She actually wanted to say hi to you guys, so yes. Only if you want to though!” You reassured them. “I know it's out of the blue and I promise she can wait for another time when it's more planned.”
Minho just shook his head, reaching out to brush a strand of hair out of your face. “It's fine jagi, we'd love to say hi to the woman who birthed and raised you.”
This man.
All of them actually. They were criminally smooth when they wanted to be.
You pushed the door to your room open further with a sigh. “Well come on then.”
You walked over to your bed and you could feel the boys following behind you. You scooped up your phone, holding it up to show your face and the boys’ as they came into view. “Mom, this is Hyunjin, Minho, and Jeongin. Boys, this is my mom.”
They all three gave a small bow, making your mom coo at them. “Oh you three are so polite already. It's so nice to meet you.”
“It's our pleasure to meet you as well Mrs. L/N,” Minho greeted.
“Now I know you're soulmates, but you better treat my daughter right, you hear?” She said, narrowing her eyes slightly at them.
“We wouldn't dream of doing anything but showering her in the love and devotion she deserves,” Hyunjin replied seriously with a hand to his chest.
Your mom beamed. “And that is the correct answer! I'll hold you all to that.”
You knew you were smiling like an idiot as you looked at your boys, but you couldn't help it.
“Thank you all for saying hi,” your mom continued, interrupting your lovesick expression. “I'll let you go so you can enjoy your evening. Love you Y/N! Have fun on set and stay safe.”
“Love you too Mom, and I will. Talk to you later,” you replied before hanging up the call.
“Your mom's nice,” Jeongin said with a small smile.
You smiled back. “Yeah, I'm lucky to have her and my dad. They've always been supportive.
Minho nodded. “You deserve that. I'm glad.”
Hyunjin stepped over and wrapped his arms around your shoulders, standing to your side as he plopped a kiss on your temple. “Ready to go to dinner now?”
You nodded. “Let me get my coat and then we can go.”
The first week in New York flew by. The boys didn’t end up getting to come on set with you at any point, but you ended up being able to come onto their set.
You'd finished your days of filming and for the last two days had simply been crashing in the boys’ hotel rooms. You were completely finished with your portion of work for the movie. Your original plan had been to go home, but now…
Well, you were obviously still in New York.
The boys’ music video was scheduled to be shot over the course of a few days.
You'd been on sets for years at this point, but you'd always been working when you did. It was fun to get to stay behind the line and just watch it all unfold.
On the first day on set, the boys introduced you to their manager, who instantly gave you a staff guest pass. They told you'd it'd get you anywhere the boys went, and also reassured you that they were here for you, too.
It was very nice and made you feel welcomed.
The boys dragged you around everywhere they went. You didn't complain, just laughed as any one of them would grab your wrist and demand your attention.
As much as the boys wanted to drape themselves all over you, they couldn't do it as often as they wanted. That was something different about this set versus the ones you worked on - even the downtime was filmed.
So you tried your best to find a place to be out of the way while still getting to watch all the action.
The first shoot day started indoors. Ryan was scheduled to be there for a couple hours to get his shots out of the way before he had to go back to his own filming.
Surprisingly, Ryan spotted you amongst the staff and waved at you. You smiled and waved back as the director stepped over and chatted with everyone.
Then, you just got to enjoy the excitement in the air as Ryan did a few takes. The boys were star struck, even those who had met him already.
“Like yeah sure we talked to him, but this is Ryan Reynolds acting,” Jisung whispered to you, making you cover your mouth to hold in a giggle.
After the boys did their group shot with Ryan, they all took selfies and chatted with him before he finally departed set.
Then, you all moved to another interior location to shoot there.
As Felix was doing a solo shot, Chan and Changbin were hanging out next to you.
“We should try to find a way to sneak you into our music videos,” Chan mused softly.
Changbin nodded eagerly as you stared at the two of them, confused. “Yeah! We just need to add more stunts and then, bam!”
You snorted. “I don't think it's sneaking if I'm hired.”
Changbin waved a hand, smirking. “But it's sneaky because we know who you are to us, but Stay doesn't yet.”
Chan nodded in agreement. “I'd say we could sneak you into this one but…”
You shook your head fondly, reaching over and patting his arm. “I know how film sets work. You can't change something like that last second. Don't worry about it.”
The boys shared a look and you had a feeling this wouldn't be the last time you heard about it.
That evening, as you and the boys ate dinner and watched a movie together, you realized the rest of the shoot days were outside.
“Oh my god,” you groaned, “I did not bring a good enough jacket for this.”
The boys clearly took that as some sort of challenge, because all the next day, they kept shoving their coats at you or snuggled up behind you to keep you warm.
At one point seven of your boys were huddled around you as Han did a solo shot. You giggled from your position in the center of their huddle.
You had to admit, though, it was very effective at keeping you warm.
It was so much fun to watch them do their dances, and the outfits they had on were killer, too.
And you got to have all eight of these men to yourself? You must've been a saint in a past life.
“So,” Felix asked during some down time, “how different is this from the sets you work on?”
“It's not that different honestly,” you admitted. “We run things very similarly. I'd say maybe the biggest difference is the sound? Most of the time the sound from the set, including lines, are heard, but you guys have the music in your earbuds. Which makes sense, it's just different.”
Felix nodded with a smile. “Hopefully I can see you work on set someday.”
You smiled back, gently bumping your shoulder against his. “I'm sure we can make something work.”
There was only one day left of filming for their music video when the question was inevitably brought up.
“So… what are we going to do once our time in New York is over?” Jeongin asked as you all were hanging out on the couch that evening.
The guys glanced at each other and then at you.
“Well, I have another film lined up in a few weeks. My shoots are rarely back to back,” you shrugged. “I mean, I'd probably like to refresh what I have packed but… if it's not an inconvenience to you guys, I could come to Seoul for a bit?”
“Yes!” Han instantly cheered, before he quickly tried to compose himself. “I mean, yeah sure, totally.”
You laughed, glancing at the other boys. “Of course, you'd all have to be okay with it.”
The boys were instantly voicing their own agreements. Minho, who'd been to your left with his arm around your shoulder, rubbed at your arm gently. “Trust me jagi, there isn't a person here who doesn't want you to come with us.”
“We could take a layover in LA with you maybe even?” Hyunjin suggested.
Chan nodded. “I think we can make that happen.”
Everyone cheered.
“We get to see Y/N's apartment!” Felix gasped.
“It's not that exciting I promise,” you argued.
Seungmin shrugged. “Sure it is. It's where you live,” he said as if that explained everything.
“Well I'm sure it's no dorm,” you laughed.
Changbin wrinkled his nose. “If it's anything like our original dorms, I'll pay for you to get a new place myself.”
The boys all nodded in agreement. “Our new places are much better,” Hyunjin said.
“Which you'll get to see, too!” Jisung added excitedly.
You smiled. “I'll need help deciding what to pack. I hope you guys don't mind playing tour guide, too. I haven't gotten to go to Seoul yet, though I've always wanted to.”
“Yeah?” Minho asked. “Why hadn't you then?”
You shrugged. “It felt like I'd be forcing it to happen, especially once I knew you guys were all there.” You blushed. “And maybe I wanted to make sure when I went that I got to see the city with you guys, not on my own.”
The boys all “aww"d at that, making you turn and hide your face in Minho's shoulder. He, of course, just chuckled.
The jerk.
“That's so romantic,” Felix said softly.
“I know, I'm sappy. I can't help it,” you grumbled as you peaked up at them all.
“Trust me, we're all sappy, too,” Chan said.
“It's why you fit in perfectly,” Changbin agreed with a grin.
“Our missing puzzle piece,” Hyunjin mused.
Han suddenly perked up when Hyunjin said that, whipping out his phone and furiously typing something down.
“He got a lyric idea,” Seungmin explained. “You get used to it.”
You couldn’t help but smile at the thought.
“Well,” you said after a pause, “I guess I need to tell my mom I’m going to Korea.”

Chapter 3
“Hey.” Hyunjin pokes his head into the room seeing the female has been moved back over to the bed, probably with the help of Minho. He fully comes in holding a bowl. “We made you some soup.”
“Perfect.” Felix smiles as he quickly grabs the bowl and brings it over to Y/n. “Something not too heavy on your stomach since who knows when you last ate.”
The omega looks at the soup Felix places on the table tray on the bed as she realizes just how hungry she is. She’s pretty sure the last time she ate anything was the morning before the hunt. She looks up at Hyunjin who is lingering by the door and gives him a nod in thank you.
“No problem…” The male trails off realizing they still don’t know her name. “Umm… I don’t want to keep having to call you princess, is there a name we can call you?”
She looks down, not making any eye contact as she thinks about it. She shrugs her shoulders while biting her lip still not feeling confident to speak yet.
Felix whimpers looking at her wide eyed. “Please tell me you are shrugging your shoulders because you don’t know what else to do and not because you don’t know your name.”
She blushes while nodding before deciding to take a bite of the soup. The two older omegas watch her eat, not sure what else to do until Minho, who’s finally finished cleaning up the room, comes up to her and places a pen and paper on the table tray making her stop eating and look up at him.
“Can you maybe write it?”
She hesitates before picking up the pen, feeling weird in her hand as she hasn’t written anything in so long, carefully writing her name out on the paper making sure it’s eligible. All three of them look at the paper.
“Y/n.” Hyunjin reads it out loud, smiling, making her blush as she’s been used to only being referred to as O13 for the last few months. “That’s a pretty name.”
Now that the older omega is closer to her she reaches out to grab his left hand pulling it to her so she can look at his inner wrist. He furrows his eyebrows in confusion before looking to Felix for help.
“Like I said, he was never an arena omega.” Felix chuckles a little as she stares at Hyunjin's ink free wrist in disbelief.
“It’s true.” Hyunjin sets his other hand over hers where she’s holding onto his wrist. “Chan and Changbin have been looking out for me since the moment I presented as an omega. Same with Jisung, Chan took him in even before he presented because it was easy to tell he would be one.”
“All omegas are kept safe here from any kind of harm.” Minho finally takes a seat by the bed now that he has nothing to keep him busy and is hoping she’ll get used to him more. It was already an improvement when she let him carry her to the bed earlier. “Well, kept safe from everything but each other at least.”
Y/n furrows her brows as she looks at Felix and Hyunjin in confusion which makes them both laugh a little. She finally lets go of the older of the two's wrist.
“Hyun and Jisung didn’t get along at first.” Felix leans into Hyunjin a little. “They fought with each other for about a good year?”
Hyunjin nods his head that the youngest male is correct. “Ji was upset he was no longer the only omega in the pack to get all the attention.”
“What was your excuse?” The beta crosses his arms over his chest with a slight smirk.
“I didn’t know how to interact with other omegas.” Hyunjin says as if it’s obvious.
Y/n gives a barely noticeable smile watching them interact, never having seen something like that before. Felix saw it though, making his scent sweeten hoping the girl will come around soon.
“WHAT?!”
All four of them turn towards the door after hearing the yell followed by hurried footsteps approaching the room.
“Shit.” Minho hisses as he stands up and quickly moves in front of the door just as it opens and another omega rushes in, overly excited, running right into the older male who wraps his arms around him. “Calm down, Ji.”
“You’re awake.” Jisung is looking at Y/n with bright eyes over Minho’s shoulder not even noticing her cowering a little.
“Jisung.” Minho uses a firm voice to get the younger’s attention finally. “You smell like beta.”
“So do you.”
The beta rolls his eyes. “I mean you smell heavily of Seungmin.”
It takes a moment for Jisung to register before looking at Y/n who is watching everything in fear. “Oh.” He blushes and rubs the back of his neck. “Sorry.”
“Y/n, this is Jisung.” Felix grabs her hand in reassurance. She flinches at first but doesn’t pull away. “He’s our other omega we were telling you about.”
“Hi.” He waves awkwardly as Minho lets him go. “Sorry to have scared you. I was just excited when Chan told us you’re awake. And sorry if I smell too much like our other beta. We were hanging out. I can leave if his scent is too much.”
She hesitates as the overly excited omega practically vibrates where he stands. Looking to Felix for guidance she squeezes his hand unsure what she’s supposed to do, or want.
“It’s okay. If Seungmin’s scent on him is too much for you then you’re allowed to ask for him to leave.” Felix gives her a smile watching her closely as she looks back at Jisung and sniffs a little. “I can promise you though that even though he seems like a lot, Jisung is really great to have around.”
Y/n nods as she grabs the pen again and writes on the paper in front of her before giving it to Felix to read.
“You can stay, Ji.”
The omega's eyes brighten before he’s rushing over to steal the seat Minho had previously occupied so he can sit with his other two mates and talk with the girl. Minho watches all of them with a smile enjoying the site of the four omegas, even if Y/n is still cautious and a bit jumpy as the males talk around her.
“Y/n.” The beta moves next to her bed and flips the paper on the table tray over to the blank side. “Why don’t you write down any information you have about your family. Parents names, pack name, where they were last living. I’ll give it to the alphas so they can do some research and try and track them down.”
He waits for her to write down everything she knows before taking the paper, folding it before turning to the boys. “You guys can stay and do whatever it is you omegas like to do to bond but remember Y/n still needs to rest, so don’t get too overly excited in here.” He then turns to Felix and pushes some hair out of his face. “Show her how to use the call button on the bed that notifies our phones for if she ever needs anything.”
“I will.” Felix leans into Minho's hand before the older male leaves the omegas in the medical bay.
As soon as the door shuts behind him, Chan stands up from one of the bar stools where he has been waiting as patiently as he can for any of them to come back out. He looks back and forth between Minho and the door waiting to see if anyone else comes out.
“She’s fine.” The beta smirks at his concerned alpha. “She let us eventually stitch her thigh back up and was eating the soup. Now the boys are just keeping her company. She seems to be attached to Felix after she saw his arena number on his wrist and he explained things to her. I think she tolerates Hyunjin just because the shirt she’s wearing is his so his scent is the only familiar and comforting thing to her right now. And she didn’t send Jisung away when we told her she was allowed to since he smelled heavily of Seungmin.”
“She’s acclimating, that’s good.” Chan sighs as he sits back on the stool not seeming as tense now. “Has she said anything about what happened that night?”
Minho presses his lips together in a thin line and shakes his head no. “She won’t speak. I’m starting to wonder if it’s because she’s too scared to or if she physically can’t.” He puts the folded up paper on the counter in front of the alpha. “She wrote her name though, it’s Y/n. And we told her that we’ll help her find her family to go back to once she’s healed. She wrote down information that’ll hopefully help you and Changbin search for them.”
Chan unfolds the paper and looks it over. “Once Bin and Innie are done in the gym we’ll see what we can find.”
Minho nods and looks around a little confused. “Where’s Minnie?”
“Upstairs.” Chan glances up at the banister that overlooks the living room. “When he and Sungie came back in from the garden I told them how Y/n is awake. You already know how Jisung reacted but Seungmin didn’t say anything and just went upstairs.”
“Did he seem upset or mad?”
“No.” Chan sighs. “I don’t know what’s going on in his head but he just seemed numb to the information. His scent stayed the same and he just went upstairs.” He notices Minho’s worried look as he looks up at the second floor landing as well. “Hey, you and the omegas focus on the girl, we’ll figure out Seungmin. No need to worry.”
Minho nods with a sigh before turning towards the door of the med bay when it opens again and out walks Hyunjin and Jisung. “What’s wrong?”
“Nothing.” Jisung holds his hands up to calm down the two older males who are quickly walking over to them. “Y/n and Lix fell asleep.”
Hyunjin opens the door a little bit more so the two can peek in. Y/n lays there sound asleep on the bed, her head turned towards Felix where he lays hunched over in the chair, his head resting on his arms on the bed. One of his hands holding hers.
Chan frowns which shocks the two omegas and Hyunjin speaks up. “It’s cute. And Felix is finally sleeping peacefully for the first time in days.”
“Sleeping like that isn’t good for his back though.” Chan sighs knowing when the boy wakes up his back is going to ache more than it normally does. But he also knows that if he moves Felix he’ll wake up and be restless.
“Just leave them be.”

The next morning Seungmin lays on Felix’s bed while he waits for the omega to get out of the shower. His back was hurting from sleeping hunched over Y/n’s medical bed so he’s relaxing his muscles with a hot shower and the beta had offered to help him use the massage gun since everyone else is still sleeping.
Seungmin sits up when the omega’s phone goes off next to him on the bed. He takes in a sharp breath when he sees a notification from the medical bay. The call button they have set up on the bed only notifies Felix, Minho and Chan’s phones. They were going to set up so it also notifies Jisung and Hyunjin as the girl has gotten used to the other two but it hasn’t been done yet.
Seungmin chews on his lip as he strains to listen to the rest of the house trying to gauge if Minho or Chan woke up due to the notification but the other rooms are quiet except for the sounds of Jisung’s and Hyunjin's light purrs. He debates if he should tell Felix or go and wake up the two oldest pack mates when another notification sounds on the youngest omega’s phone.
Seungmin decides to go find out himself just how urgent it is, leaving Felix’s room and rushes downstairs. The door was left slightly open after Felix left this morning and he peers through the crack seeing the girl sitting up in bed, fidgeting with the blankets, seeming anxious. Her head whips to look at the door when she smells the beta’s scent giving him away. She recognizes his scent from Jisung.
“Hey.” He pushes the door open a bit more to let himself in. “I saw the notifications on Felix’s phone, are you okay?” She stares at him, her hands closing tighter around the blanket in her lap as she chews on her bottom lip. “Do I need to go get Minho or one of the omegas?”
She sits there for a second before whispering, barely audible. “B-Bathroom.”
“Oh.” Seungmin is shocked as he was told that she still hadn’t spoken yet. “Right, you still can’t walk with your stitches… Is it okay if I help you?”
Y/n hesitates debating on if he was safe enough but she so badly needs to pee that at this point she doesn’t even fully care. She nods her head yes and watches him closely as he walks over to her. She pushes the blankets off of her and swings her legs off the side of the bed as he gently places a hand on her arm causing her to flinch making him retreat.
“If you aren’t comfortable I can go get one of the others.” He starts to step away to do exactly that until he feels her hand grab his wrist making him look at her.
She almost looks like she's pleading to him to help her and he nods moving back to her. He helps her stand up and as she places weight on her injured leg, her knee buckles a little making him have to catch her as he wraps an arm around her waist.
“Just lean your weight against me.”
He waits until he feels her lean against him before slowly helping her walk towards the bathroom connected to the room. Once to the doorway, he flicks the light on and helps her get a hold on the bar lining the walls of the room.
“Got it from here?” She nods, her cheeks flushed in embarrassment. “When you’re done either open the door or knock or something. I’ll stay right outside.”
He closes the door and stands against the wall waiting for a few minutes. He knows she’ll probably take longer than the average person with her injuries right now but after five minutes he starts to get concerned.
“S-Seungm-min?” Her voice comes from the other side of the door just as he thought about knocking. He’s shocked to hear her speak again, and his name of all things.
He opens the door to find her standing near it against the wall with the help of the bar, balancing on her good leg. He moves to her and waits for her to lean against him again before leading her back to the bed, pulling the blankets over her once she’s settled.
“Do you need anything else?” She shakes her head no already looking ready to fall asleep again. “When the omegas wake up I’ll tell them to come check on you again.”
She gives him a small smile as he retreats to the door. He gives her one last glance before leaving the room, making sure to keep the door cracked a little so they can hear for her. When he turns he’s startled to see Felix leaning against the opposite wall, his hair still wet from his shower.
“Fuck, Felix.”
“You were gone when I got out of the shower then I saw the notifications on my phone from her call button.” He gets off the wall so they can head back upstairs.
“Yeah. She just needed to use the bathroom so I helped her walk.” The omega nods but doesn’t say much more letting Seungmin decide if he should tell him what happened. “She spoke.”
Felix stops midstep on the stairs whipping his head to look at the younger male. “She did? What did she say?”
“She only said bathroom at first then after she was done she stuttered out my name to let me know she was done.” The beta furrowed his brows a little, looking down at the steps. “I don’t even know how she knew my name. I had forgotten to introduce myself.”
“I do.” Felix smiles. “And I think it’s the only reason she let you help her. When Jisung joined us yesterday, he smelled heavily of you. She recognized your scent this morning from him. Ji trusts you enough to have had your scent on him so she concluded you were safe enough to help her.”
Seungmin's heart flutters at the revelation as he looks back at the medical bay door. Felix smirks and whacks his harm lightly. “Come on pabo, you promised to help massage my back.”
A/N 1: There's going to be a bit of a break before the next chapter as I get through Holiday season. It will be Beautifully Cruel World chapter 29 that gets posted next I just don't know when then sometime after that will be Chapter 4.
A/N 2: I had meant to share this fun fact in one of the first two chapters but had forgotten about it. The reason for her having O13 on her wrist is because I actually have 013 tattooed on my inner left wrist that I got done about 3 years ago, I just changed the zero to an O for this fic. Yes it is meant to be like the Stranger Things tattoo and the reason it's a 13 is because I was born on Friday the 13th.

You ended up hanging out with the boys for the rest of the day, including grabbing dinner with them. Originally Felix and Hyunjin were supposed to join, but they got invited to dinners with their respective fashion brands and couldn't refuse.
“The timer hasn't changed since it showed up on my wrist, so I didn't exactly expect to meet Felix tonight,” you told the boys when they broke the news to you.
“Well you have to get breakfast with us, then,” Han said.
“As if I was going to say no to that,” you laughed.
And now here you were. The boys found a nice place not far from their hotel and had even come by to pick you up that morning. You'd insisted that you could get there on your own, but they declined.
“We want to spend time with you now that we have you,” Changbin told you with a fond smile. “Is that so bad?”
You wouldn't lie and say you didn't feel the same.
Han had all but hopped out of the car when it pulled up in front of your hotel. He grabbed you, giving you a hug before holding open the car door for you.
“Normally we fight for shotgun, but this time we fought over who would sit in the back with you,” he said with a grin. “I won.”
“It's fine,” Changbin sighed from the front, flashing a smirk back at you guys, “I saw her in my dreams last night.”
You blushed and playfully smacked his arm. “Don't look like that! You make it sound dirty.”
“I wouldn't blame him if it was- hey!” Han cut off when you playfully smacked his leg, too.
“I can still get an Uber, you know,” you threatened.
“Nope! Too late, you're stuck with us,” Changbin joked as he pulled out onto the street.
You sighed loudly. “I guess there are worse people to be stuck with.”
Han put a hand to his chest. “I'm wounded!”
“So are Jeongin and Chan…?”
“They're walking to the restaurant to save seats for us,” Changbin explained. “Hyunjin and Felix will get there a bit after us.”
You glanced at your wrist and felt Han lean over to do the same. “Yeah, less than 40 minutes to go.”
“Then it'll just be Seungmin and Minho left,” Han said.
You nodded, giving him a small smile. “Hopefully they're not too upset they have to wait.” You thought about it for a moment. “I honestly don't have a ton of filming days left, so maybe I could fly out? But I don't know what your schedules are like right now.”
“Aren't they filming in New York next after their stuff here?” Changbin asked.
You nodded, narrowing your eyes in confusion. “Yeah, how did you know?”
“We actually have a music video we're going to be filming with Ryan in New York while they're in town,” Han said excitedly. “You could just come along! We don't have much planned right now til we go there. We were going to go home for just a bit, but…”
Han and Changbin exchanged glances and Changbin just nodded. “I'd rather stay here, too.”
Han beamed. “Then we can ask Chan about it. We can make something work I'm sure.”
(Felix's POV)
The timer on his wrist had always seemed insurmountably large. An unachievable number that would never actually finish counting down.
Even when they found out who their final soulmate was, their meeting was that of the future. Unreachable. Years away.
And now, as he stared at the time on his wrist this morning, it was sitting at less than 2 hours.
“Holy shit,” he whispered to himself as he laid in bed contemplating getting up. Hyunjin's arm was still thrown over his waist. The older boy grumbled, nuzzling his face further into the pillow.
“‘s too early,” Hyunjin grumbled.
Felix gently bonked his head against Hyunjin's. “We gotta meet up the others for breakfast, remember?”
Hyunjin groaned, tightening his grip on Felix. “Jus’ order in.”
“Then you have to tell Y/N that we're not coming,” he teased.
Hyunjin's head jerked up, blinking rapidly. “Y/N! Oh yeah!” He pushed himself to a seated position, throwing the blankets off of them. Felix groaned at the sudden cold, but the other boy was already off. “Come on! We gotta get ready.”
Felix snorted at his sudden excitement, but he understood it, too. He glanced at his wrist one more time, watching the time tick down. It was such a familiar sight. There were times when he used it's constant counting to calm himself. It reminded him that there were still things ahead.
It almost felt sad to know that it'd be finished soon, but he knew he'd be far more elated to finally meet her.
With one last sigh, he pushed himself out of bed, too.
Felix made sure to not look at his wrist until he was done getting ready.
38 minutes left.
His heart rate picked up and he had to take a moment to breathe. They still had to drive there. It was fine.
Felix heard the bathroom door open followed by a low whistle. Hyunjin stepped up to his side, kissing his cheek.
“Looking good Felix,” he purred.
Felix turned and looked him over, too. “You look great too Hyunjin.”
Hyunjin smirked. “I'd hope so.” He stepped back, still grinning. “You ready to go then?”
Felix scooped up his phone, checking the time as he did. He nodded. “Yeah, let's go meet our soulmate.”
Hyunjin's expression turned giddy. He gave a little squeal. “Yeah!! Let's go!”
They gave their driver the address and slid into the backseat. Felix quickly shot a text to the boys, letting them know they were on the road and giving them their ETA.
Chantopher: great! Our table is near the back right side when you walk in. See you soon!
33 minutes left.
The drive from the hotel he and Hyunjin had been staying in to the restaurant was estimated to take just under 30 minutes. But right now, it felt like it was taking hours and flying by at the same time.
Felix could swear his heartbeat was synchronizing with the ticking of the timer on his wrist. Each second felt like a thump on his chest. The anticipation was slowly crawling up his body, making his muscles tense up as it inched higher and higher.
What if she didn't like him? What if they got into a car crash and then didn't meet up? Would they stop being soulmates if the timer was wrong? Was it even possible for the timer to be wrong? How was the timer so sure about their exact meeting anyway-
“Felix.”
Felix jumped as he was brought back out of his panic. Hyunjin had a hand on his knee, his thumb gently brushing against his pants. Felix focused on the sensation before looking up at his other soulmate. “Yes?”
Hyunjin smiled fondly. “You looked like you were seeing ghosts. It's gonna be great, okay?”
Felix sucked in a shaky breath, letting it out slowly as he nodded. “You're right. I know, it's just…” He fiddled with the material of his pants. “It's been such a long time coming. I've known about this moment for years, this exact moment. But what if it goes wrong?”
Hyunjin shrugged. “Then that's how it was supposed to be, but… I know she's been excited for this, too. You both have. So it can only go right.” He gave one, assured nod when he said that, clearly confident in his words.
It honestly helped settle something in Felix, too. He felt some of the tension leave his body, and he gave Hyunjin a smile. “Thanks Hyunie.”
Hyunjin beamed, leaning over to kiss his cheek. “Anytime sunshine.”
19 minutes left.
For the next while, Felix distracted himself by scrolling TikTok. Hyunjin eventually leaned over to watch with him and the two chuckled at some of the fan edits they found.
He felt the car pull over and slow down, causing him to look up.
They made it to the restaurant.
2 minutes left.
Felix was immediately scrambling to unbuckle, pushing himself towards the car door.
“Felix mask,” Hyunjin hissed just before he could push the door open. Felix grumbled but shoved it on his face, giving their driver time to make it to their car door and open it for him.
Felix hopped out of the car and was barely able to stop himself from running as he waited for Hyunjin to join him.
“Oh my gosh, just go. I know you wanna run,” Hyunjin told him playfully.
Felix glanced at him and gave him a quick thank you before turning around and speedwalking inside.
As he stepped through the doors, he remembered where Chan said they'd be seated. He glanced around excitedly before spotting the familiar figures that were the members of his band.
And then he spotted her.
Your gaze met and instantly he was pushing his way across the room.
He watched her stand up and head towards him with a big grin on her face. He picked up his pace and she did too. You all but ran into each other. Laughter peeled out of both of you when you collided as Felix rocked back to make sure the two of you didn't fall over.
Why had he been worried again?
“Felix!” Y/N giggled, rocking side to side with him as he continued to hold her close. “It's so nice to finally meet you.”
Felix leaned back just slightly so he could drink in her expression more. “I've been literally counting the days til I could get you in my arms.”
Y/N laughed. “Oh my god you're so cheesy.”
He beamed. “It's true!”
“Alright timer boy, it's my turn,” Hyunjin said as he bumped shoulders with Felix.
Y/N grinned and stepped away from Felix to wrap her arms around Hyunjin. “Hyunjiiinnn oh my gosh.”
Hyunjin beamed, kissing the top of her head as he also rocked side to side. “I finally get to talk to you instead of just writing! Your voice is just as pretty as I thought it'd be.” He pulled back and smiled down at her. “But your face is even prettier.”
Y/N's face heated up more. “You guys are gonna be the death of me,” she grumbled as she grabbed his and Hyunjin's hands, dragging them back over to the table.
That's when Felix noticed the other boys giving them a range of playful to fond looks. He smiled back bashfully at them as he slipped into a seat next to Chan.
“So,” Chan started once they were all seated, “let's talk about the logistics of staying here in the UK for a little bit longer.”
(Your POV)
It turns out that the original plan for the boys had included them all heading back to Seoul tomorrow. Then they'd stay there and work for about a week and a half until they headed to New York.
“Seungmin and Minho's breaks both end tomorrow,” Chan said, “and I'm sure they'd like to join us if we do stay. I had a chat with our manager earlier and filled them in on the situation.” He glanced at you, grabbing your hand with a smile. “While we aren't going public yet, Stay doesn't even know about the 8 of us, though they do theorize, we wanted to inform our manager so they knew the truth. It helps them prepare in case something happens but also,” he grinned, “it means they're more likely to allow us to stay since we just met you.”
Changbin nodded. “We could claim soulmate leave but…”
All six sets of eyes looked at you and you nodded in understanding. “I could claim soulmate leave too, but if this works anyways then we shouldn't need to.”
“Our manager said they can add an interview or two for us, and we can do our lives from here, too,” Chan explained. “Plus we can add in a vlog of our time here, so I think we can make it work.”
You beamed. “I only have two more scheduled days on set, but I'm here for another seven days just in case they realize they need pickup shots. Then I technically have three days off before shipping off to New York, so.”
Felix looked at you excitedly. “Have you been around London before?”
You shook your head. “I've walked around some and visited some towns closer to set but I haven't had much of a chance to be a proper tourist yet.”
“Oh we're gonna do all of it then,” Hyunjin gushed.
You felt yourself get so excited but then your eyebrows furrowed. “Wait, can Seungmin and Minho make it for sure?”
“Already working on it,” Chan reassured you as he typed away on his phone. He glanced up to flash a grin at you. “They should get here in two days.”
“We're all gonna be together, all nine of us, for the first time!” Hyunjin pointed out excitedly.
“Yeah! Now we just need to steal Y/N from her hotel,” Jisung said with a grin.
“Yah! It's too far away,” Changbin agreed.
“It's closer to set!” You argued. “Plus, it's already paid for.”
“But you won't be needed after your last shoot most likely, right?” Chan asked.
“Most likely not,” you agreed.
He smirked. “Well, we'll be upgrading our room anyway to accommodate Minho and Seungmin then, so we'll just make sure it can accommodate you, too.”
He made it sound so easy, and his stupid, smug, adorable grin didn't help.
“Fiiiine,” you agreed and the boys cheered. “But don't expect me to be sharing beds with just anyone. Maybe Hyunie, Bin, or Chris.”
“Why them?” Han protested.
You raised an eyebrow at him. “I've literally known them for most of my life. I know a lot about you guys from vlogs but I haven't had the chance to know the real you, yet.”
Felix took your hand and gently squeezed it. “We are all looking forward to getting to know you, too.”
“It honestly just feels like you were always here but on vacation, at least since we found out about you two years ago,” Jeongin admitted. “It just… feels natural that you're here.”
The other boys nodded in agreement and you smiled fondly. “I feel the same way.” You replied softly.
“Now we just need you to meet the Mins and we'll be complete,” Hyunjin said with a grin.
You smiled back at him. “I can't wait.”
(Minho's POV)
The first soulmark he ever had were the words scrawled across his side.
“I could say the same about you.”
Even though his family didn't speak much English, they knew enough to recognize that the words were in English. It was what pushed him to learn at least how to read and speak basic English growing up.
As he gained and discovered his other soulmarks throughout the years, those words remained a constant. They were something soothing, grounding. They'd been there as long as he'd been alive, and they'd be there until he died.
Even though he was never one to speculate on how he'd meet his soulmates, or who they might be, he couldn't say that he expected those words to be the last ones he connected to.
They were there first, yet it took years to finally find her.
Her.
He hadn't been surprised when he found out their last soulmate was a shared one, in fact he would've been more surprised if they hadn't been. The rest of them were all mutual soulmates, so why wouldn't their final soulmate be the same?
But he wouldn't lie and say he wasn't a little jealous. Jealous that Changbin, Chan, and Hyunjin had gotten years to get to know her, and he didn't.
He knew they'd have the rest of their lives, but the rest of them had been fairly equal in knowing each other. They all met around the same time, at a relatively young age, and most of them had minimal contact with one another.
When they found out about Y/N, though, it would still be another two years until the rest of them got to know her. Two more years where they would fall behind and have to play catch up.
He knew his fears were slightly irrational. They were literally destined to be together and the other 8 of them fit together well. She would fit in, too, and fill the hole they all secretly noticed from time to time.
She would complete them.
But what if he was her least favorite?
“Alright, you're frowning more than normal,” Seungmin suddenly said from his seat beside Minho on the plane, “What are you worrying about?”
Minho huffed. “I'm not worrying.”
Seungmin raised an eyebrow, unconvinced. “Sure, and I'm the queen of Russia.”
“And you're only just now telling us?” Minho deadpanned back. “I can't believe you kept it a secret all these years.”
“Hyung,” Seungmin said firmly. “If you really don't want to tell me, you don't have to.”
Seungmin waited patiently as he gathered his thoughts, not pushing.
“Chan, Binnie, and Hyunjin have known her her whole life. What if we can't connect to her the same way she connects to them?” He finally said. “What if meeting her puts everything out of balance?”
“It probably will be different at first,” Seungmin replied with a shrug, “but different isn't bad.” He paused for a moment, keeping his gaze on Minho. “We've always known she was missing, that she'd be a part of this one day. Don't tell me you've never felt like someone else was supposed to walk in on our dinner nights.”
Minho nodded. On days where he was particularly distracted, or days when he was feeling especially emotional, he always cooked enough food for more people than they had.
His subconscious always knew someone else was supposed to be there.
Seungmin nodded, too. “It'll all be fine. She's supposed to be with us. If all eight of us were able to get where we are, we can do the same with her. And I don't think her already having known some of us will get in the way of her wanting to know the rest of us.”
Minho sighed. “Like I said, they were anxious thoughts. I knew they were unreasonable.”
“It's not unreasonable to be worried. What is unreasonable is bottling it up and letting it fester instead of talking it out,” Seungmin told him.
Minho scowled at him playfully. “Bite me.”
Seungmin instantly smirked. “Just tell me where.”
“Cocky pup.”
“Don't act like you don't like it.”
Minho rolled his eyes but didn't deny it.
The rest of the flight, Minho was able to keep his anxious thoughts at bay. Seungmin was right, and there was no point theorizing on something that hadn't happened yet.
As the flight attendants announced their descent, he found his hand absent-mindedly tracing the words on his side.
“I could say the same about you.”
They'd agreed to meet at the hotel, to have a more private meeting than in a public airport where masks would be on and voices would be kept low. This gave Minho ample time to compose himself before they were finally there.
Outside the building.
That their final soulmate was waiting inside of.
10 minutes before their arrival, Minho made sure to update Chan of their ETA. So he wasn't surprised when their car pulled up to the curb and he spotted a hooded and masked man resting near the entrance of the hotel. Minho stepped out of the car and helped Seungmin out as well. Their driver grabbed their suitcases and Chan stepped up to help them carry them.
“You ready?” Chan asked, and although Minho couldn't see his lips, he knew the older boy was grinning.
Minho huffed. “I suppose so.”
Chan, as always, was able to read him like a book. His gaze softened and he gently nudged his shoulder against Minho's. “She's great, you're gonna love her.”
Minho glared at him, albeit with minimal heat. “You've known her for decades, of course you'd say that.”
“You know that's not why I'm saying it, though,” Chan told him gently. “It's gonna go just fine, okay?”
“That's what I told him too, hyung,” Seungmin piped up.
“Yeah, yeah, I shouldn't be nervous, I know,” Minho grumbled.
“That's not what I'm saying,” Chan laughed softly. “We were all nervous in our own right, but I'm just saying that I know it's going to go fine. I'm not saying you couldn't be nervous, I just wanted to help.”
“I know,” Minho told him, nudging his shoulder back.
As the elevator opened up, Chan led them down the hall. “So we weren't able to get a room to fit all nine of us, go figure, so we have two suites across the hall from each other. Changbin, Hyunjin, Y/N, and I are in one, and the rest of you are in the other.”
Of course that was how it split up.
“And who decided that? Y/N?” He spit before he could think about his words.
Chan stopped and turned to look at him, narrowing his eyes slightly. “And if she did?”
Seungmin wisely stayed quiet this time, knowing Minho needed to decide what he wanted to say here.
“I just-” he paused, trying to let his emotions settle a bit. “I… I had some stupid thoughts on the plane and I know they're irrational but this felt like confirmation for a second and…” he huffed. “You guys already know her… What if the rest of us never catch up?”
Chan's expression softened immediately. He reached up and cupped the back of Minho's neck with his hand, rubbing his thumb soothing along the skin there. Minho glanced over just as the older boy leaned in to brush their lips together.
“She only wanted this rooming arrangement because of the amount of beds. She's been very excitedly getting to know Felix, Jisung, and Jeongin already,” Chan explained. “They were playing 20 questions on the car ride over last night when we picked her up from her hotel.”
“I know it's hard to remember how it was before we all knew each other, but this is new to her,” Chan continued. “Not only that, but she's coming into an established relationship. While we all know we want her here, and she knows it too, we're going at her pace. Sleeping is intimate, even without sex, and this is the pace she set. She already told us she wants to get to know you all better.”
Minho let out a slow breath, feeling his heart rate slowly calm down.
“Would you like a minute?” Chan asked.
Minho shook his head. “No, I'm fine.” He glanced back over at Chan as he slowly let his hand drop from behind his neck. “Thank you.”
Chan grinned at him. “What are soulmates for?”
The suites were just a couple doors down from the elevator. Chan tapped his keycard against the door and opened it up slowly. “We're here!”
“Yah! Took you long enough,” Changbin called out.
Once Chan stepped out of the way, Minho saw the other six people hanging out in the living room area straight ahead. They were all turned to look at them as they entered.
And one face stood out amongst the rest.
Y/N stood up, moving around the couch so there weren't any obstacles between them. Minho stopped a few feet short of her, giving her a once over.
“You know, I've heard a lot about you,” he said in Korean without thinking.
Could she even understand Korean? Why did he say that-
Laughter broke up his train of thought. Y/N was grinning at him as she spoke back in English.
“I could say the same about you.”
Her tone was playful, and it made something in his heart settle. She took a step closer, opening her arms to him.
“Come on, everyone else has gotten a hug so far,” she said. He huffed softly and opened his arms, too, letting her burrow into his chest.
It felt nice.
“Nice to finally meet you Minho,” she said softly.
He brushed his head against hers. “Nice to finally meet you, too.”
Suddenly, Y/N yelped and jumped back from their hug. Minho looked and saw her glaring at Seungmin, who was stood just off to the side of them with a grin on his face.
He shrugged. “Sorry, just had to check.”
Y/N maintained eye contact with him as she moved a hand up to pinch her own arm, making Seungmin yelp and clutch the same spot on his body. Y/N instantly smirked, which devolved into a laugh. “That good enough of a test for you?”
“Yah, jeez, of course you'd be a feisty one,” Seungmin groaned, making Y/N laugh more.
“You started it.”
“No, I think you started it back when you broke your arm.”
Y/N wrinkled her nose. “Sorry about that. Eight year old me thought she was more invincible than she actually was.”
Seungmin shrugged, not actually upset. “I'm sure my baseball injury wasn't pleasant either, so we're even.”
Y/N winced at the memory. “That's how I figured out it was you, ya know.”
Seungmin snorted. “Makes sense. Mine was less exciting, just process of elimination.”
Y/N smiled at him and Seungmin, glancing around between the boys. “It's… surreal that I'm finally here with all of you.”
The boys all smiled back at her, Minho felt one creep onto his own face as well.
“It took too long honestly,” Jisung said playfully.
Changbin's grin turned into a smirk. “Should we blame Felix's timer for that? He's been holding us back.”
“Yah!” Felix gasped. “I couldn't control that!”
Y/N laughed and shrugged. “Fate waited for a reason. It's okay cause we're all here now.”
Chan came up behind her and wrapped his arms around her waist. “And now you're stuck with us. There's a strict no return policy for Stray Kids, so.”
Y/N grinned, tilting her head so she could kiss Chan's cheek. “I think I can live with that.”
“Why don't you two go get your stuff put away and then maybe we could order room service for dinner?” Chan suggested.
“Or Door Dash!” Jisung suggested eagerly.
“Yes! Door Dash!” Hyunjin cheered.
“Sounds like the kids want Door Dash,” Minho droned, but he knew his eyes gave away his playfulness.
“Wait, since I'm older than you, does that make them my kids too?” Y/N asked cheekily.
Felix and Jisung took that moment to launch themselves at her, barely giving Chan time to step out of the way. “Noona!” They cheered as they wrapped around her, smushing their faces against hers.
Laughter filled the room and it was truly the best sound Minho had ever heard. His anxiety slipped away as he basked in the love filling the room.
Synopsis: Y/N is her family's disappointment due to never having presented, Her family is ashamed and afraid of the public's reaction to their faulty daughter they contact a pack and ask them to take her in. They hope with her surrounded by so many dynamics and scents it will shove her closer to presenting. Little do they know Y/n is about to find more than her identity.
The air in the pack house was tense with nerves, curiosity, and excitement.
"Why didn't you bring me Channie?" The pout was clear in Felix's usually bright and cheerful voice.
Chan sighed. "You were busy and I was worried that your bright personality would be too much for her. From what I knew and have seen now, she's a little on the edge. I figured Hyunjin would be a good choice since his scent is usually very soothing."
Normally Chan would have brought Felix when meeting new people who he thought could use a nice and happy presence. But the omega had been busy with Changbin.
"Hyunjin seemed to really like her." Chan said.
"He hasn't shut up about her or how inspiring her scent was." Felix replied with a smile. "Its almost like our dramatic friend has a crush."
"If you had been there you would believe it even more. He growled when I mentioned you."
"I must meet her!" Felix looked shocked at the idea of the usual peaceful omega growling at anyone, especially their pack leader.
Back at your place you were going through your clothes and packing your favourites.
You had ultimately agreed to live with Chan and his pack. They seemed genuine about helping you and there was a slight connection to the two pack members you didn't want to focus on.
Hyunjin's words about how fate had chosen you for them rang in your ears. You wondered if that was true. Did fate even exist?
And if it did, how could it be so cruel to humiliate you like this?
Hearing a knock on your door you muttered a come in. It was your maid bringing you another box.
"Thank you. By the way... Do you know if my sister is home?" You asked hopefully.
She shook her head. "She is still out of the state in a meeting. She won't be back for a while." She sounded apologetic.
Holding in a sigh you nodded and set the new box down. You were hoping your twin would have arrived before you had to leave tomorrow. Part of you was angry your parents were getting rid of you so fast that you couldn't even say goodbye to your favourite person.
Folding the shirt you were holding you placed it in your box of clothes. So distracted by your thoughts you didn't notice your mother dismissing the maid.
"Y/n we're, me and your father, are so proud of you for finally trying to find yourself." Your mothers over-bearing sweet scent clogged up your senses. You had always hated your mothers scent. It smelled sickly sweet and artificial. Like a way too strong perfume.
"Maybe I just want to fit into this household."
Instead of being upset that you didn't feel like a part of the family, your mother looked ecstatic. "Yes! You're going to present and finally be able to work in the family business. Remember you have all the time you need but try and hurry. We have waited so long already." And with that your mother rushed out of the room leaving a faint trail of her scent behind.
Staring at the boxes in front of you an overwhelming feeling rose in you.
A desire for freedom.
A yearning to be yourself.
And a wish to live with a pack even if it was temporary.
A normal life was what you really wanted. And you weren't going to find one here.
"Long time no see Y/N." Chan greeted you with a smile.
Hyunjin looked ecstatic. "I missed you Y/n! I'm so happy you're coming to live with the pack."
Both men had come to pick you up. Chan helped load your boxes in the back of his car while Hyunjin yapped about how much he had drawn relating to your scent.
"Hyunjin quiet it a bit. She's probably nervous." Chan scolded the omega.
You couldn't help but smile. It had been only a few days but you missed them.
Chan sat in the front to drive and Hyunjin sat in the back with you. "We thought it would help if you got to know the rest of the pack one by one. So only one member is home right now. Do you remember me mentioning a Felix?"
You couldn't miss the dramatic pout on Hyunjin's face. "You said he was an omega right?"
"Yes. He's our sunshine omega." Chan said warmly. "He was really excited to meet you. He loves meeting new people."
"But I'll also help you settle in Y/nnie." Hyunjin said, you could practically taste his excitement on his scent.
"Thank you Hyunjin." You offered the flower scented omega a smile which he returned happily.
“We’ll all help you settle in.” Chan corrected gently.
Both men could tell you were nervous due to your scent and tried to ease you with conversation. Basic house rules like “don’t eat marked food in the fridge” or “please don't shut the bathroom door if you're not in there it causes confusion.” You asked questions when you had them and nodded along to show you understood.
Soon enough you pulled up to a house. The exterior was a clash of modern and rustic, and it was big. Noticing there were no windows at the front of the house, you wondered if it had something to do with them being a popular pack. The yard was well kept and there was a garden to the side that rivaled Hyunjin’s flower scent.
The mentioned omega followed your gaze. “If you think that's impressive you should see the garden in the back yard. Not as cool as mine.”
‘If this one's yours, who takes care of the one in the back?”
“We all do really. The garden is a place where a lot of us go when we need time to think or air.” Hyunjin explained.
"It sounds beautiful." You responded truthfully.
Chan was carrying two boxes and looked at you two. "Hyunjin take her inside then come back out and help me please."
Hyunjin nodded and led you into the house. "Eventually we'll get you a key. I think one of the betas are actually making it."
The inside of the house was polished wood and dim lighting that made the room seem like it belonged in an aesthetic room makeover video.
A whole different array of scents hit your nose. You'd been expecting it since Chan told you how many lived in the packhouse.
"Hmm... It seems Felix is in the kitchen. Let's go see him." Hyunjin flashed you a reassuring smile and led you through a hallway filled with pictures of the pack into a massive kitchen. There was a huge table where you could easily seat ten. The kitchen looked a lot more modern than the rest of the house but still has the polished dark wood for the cabinets.
A strong scent hit you. It smelled like warm sand, almost like a beach. The scent complemented Chan's but less ocean-like.
It belonged to a blonde haired omega who was baking. Brownies from the smell. He turned and his eyes lit up as he saw Hyunjin. He gasped when he saw you.
"You're here! I was trying to finish the brownies before you arrived. It seems like I'm too late." He set down the towel he was holding and rushed over to you engulfing you in a hug. His scent made you feel warm.
"Felix." Hyunjin warned.
"Oh sorry I should have asked. I got excited, it's been awhile since I've met someone new." Felix smiled apologetically, you noticed like Chan he had an Australian accent.
"It's fine. It's been awhile since I've been hugged." You smiled sadly back at him.
Felix looked heart broken. "Oh no I can't have that!" As if that was the cue he hugged you again, his body heat seeping into you making you feel warm and happy.
You hugged him back, your heart not caring you had literally just met him.
“Now Hyunjin go help Chan, i’ll show Y/n her room.” Felix said to the other male in the room.
Hyunjin hesitated but a pointed look from the blonde omega made him sigh.
“I’ll check on you shortly, okay? Let Felix know if you have any questions or need anything!” Hyunjin said before departing.
“Dont worry so much Jinnie i’ll take good care of her.” Felix assured his retreating figure before turning back to you and grasping your hand. “Let's go see your new room.”
You liked how he said it, as if it was permanent. As if you could stay.
i did it everyone. i am so sorry this is late. my case study paper took more time than i was expecting. this is just a part one to the story for now. maybe three parts!

wc: 3.2k ~ pt 1 | series
when you downloaded the app, you honestly didn’t think you would use it. plus the name was super corny, who names a sugar daddy app “need some $ugar” but with a dollar sign?
you made your profile as basic as you could. you had laughed when you added that you didn’t want a creep, but of course, that had the opposite effect. after so many awful responses, and plenty of unsolicited dick pics you had decided to delete the app. when you got a notification.
“bigbad7 is interested. do you like music, come make some with me.”
you had actually laughed. was he trying to be clever about sex, or did he actually make music? you remembered your favorite movie quote, 20 seconds of insane courage, and accepted the account, and started going through it.
he was absolutely one of the most handsomest men you’d ever seen. job? music composer, maybe he did mean literal music. wants someone to join him on late-night studio dates? that could be fun, you wonder if you could bring your computer and work on your own homework.
you had never accepted a request on this app. you didn’t know what would happen next. but, you had decided to leave it alone for now, if this wasn’t a scam, hopefully a gentleman would be messaging soon.
you had started going through what the last homework you had when you got a ping twenty minutes later. you stared down at your phone in shock. he had actually messaged you back.
bigbad7: was my pick-up line terrible?
bigbad7: reading it back, i just realised i was basically asking for sex.
bigbad7: i promise, i actually am not expecting sex.
bigbad7: that’s what i truly liked about your account. well that and you're super hot.
bigbad7: i’m going to stop now. i won't be offended if you don’t message back.
you giggle as your phone buzzes with each new notification from him. not only is he hot, but he is also part loser. basically, he is perfect. you stare down at your phone. you debate messaging back, who are you kidding, you're gonna message back.
babyflower325: i mean, yeah i totally thought you meant sex
babyflower325: but then i thought “he’s hot”
babyflower325: apparently we both think the other is hot
bigbag7: oh thank everything good and true
bigbad7: i really thought i had screwed this up
bigbad7: hot? baby, you are definitely one to talk.
babyflower325: baby already? take me on a date first
bigbad7: well it’s a crazy week for me. would next monday work okay?
babyflower325: that sounds amazing, why are you so busy? if you don’t mind my asking.
bigbad7: i don’t mind, but one of the albums i helped make is in promotion. which, i actually need to get back too. i’ll message you later!
babyflower325: no worries! i look forward to talking more

you were actually surprised with how often you checked your phone, hoping for another text from chris while you waited for your date. it was finally sunday. you have been waiting and counting down the days, honestly.
you didn’t know what it was about chris, but you felt at peace while messaging him. the way you met, though, you would never share. you hadn’t even met him yet and were already getting ahead of yourself. you felt so seen in your messages. he always took your opinions into account, he had always valued what you had to share, and he definitely flirted like a playboy.
the last text you had with him was a goodnight and goodluck. it was the last day of his album promotions. you hoped that whoever he helped would win. you had tried to figure out what album it was, but he was adamant about waiting till you met.
you decided to take an everything shower. you both had agreed this wasn’t about sex, but there was something about him that made you want to look your best. logistically, you were the baby in the scenario; going all out for him would be worth it. after the shower, you put on your favorite lotion. going into your room, you looked through your clothes.
you decided to go with your favorite pair of jeans, the cute fitted undershirt with a light jacket, and your trusted Converse. you laid them out to be ready for tomorrow. even though you wouldn’t be leaving to meet at the restaurant until later in the day, you knew you would be doing everything to stay busy and keep your mind off it. little did you know that nearby, your date was having some similar anxious feelings.
~~~~~༺❀༻~~~~~
chris didn’t know what he was thinking when he signed up for the app. he had heard about it from one of his friends, who actually had found his current relationship. he said it was perfect cause he could put his money into more places than he had thought. now as chris looked at him, he knew his friend was in love.
to be honest, that’s all he has ever wanted. he has gotten it with the other members in a way. deep down, he knew that eventually he would desire more. something like what his parents have, that fairytale love. but, he also knew getting a sugar baby would not solve his problems.
it might be able to cure some of the loneliness, though. that’s the only thing that matters. at least, for now. until he decides he has had enough of that.
going through the app was awkward. he didn’t do it while he was around anyone. typically, it occurred during the late nights at the studio or while he was about to fall asleep.
truly, he did look. just all the profiles were odd. people offered feet pics for more than he thought they were worth. not that he was interested, but it was funny to him. he was finally saying screw it after the last messages he sent went tits-up. then, he saw your profile. it was like a diamond in the rough. you drew him in like a worm on a fishing hook.
he didn’t put much thought into what he typed, but when he read your response, he knew he wasn’t fully awake. it was a bad enough pick-up line that even STAY would have laughed at him about it. then he was setting up a date before he realized it.
now here he was preparing for a date. he was deciding what to wear when he saw something glint in the nightstand. he knew dressing in black dress pants and a dress shirt might be over the top, but he wanted to look good for you.
he had his signature bracelets on, his hair styled the way he liked most, and cologne he knew girls went crazy for. he’d seen the reaction posts STAY made when they found out the cologne he used.
he decided to rent out a restaurant. he told you he’d meet you there. he knew he had to be early; otherwise, you would be confused. who wouldn’t be? he had tried to keep his profile as lowkey as he possibly could. he knew if his account had gotten out, the company would be pissed. not that he’d care, he was able to figure it out on his own.
as he pulled up to the restaurant, he noticed that only a few cars were there. he had decided on a place known for privacy and a place that could be booked. he had NDA’s already prepared just in case. although the owner was known amongst celebrities for having his workers sign on the night of an event like this.
~~~~~༺❀༻~~~~~
you were nervous. you had let your friend know where you would be and that you would check in after the date. more often than not, dating apps had screwed you both over. even though both you and chris were verified, it still left you anxious.
you were in a cab, and the map said that you were a minute away. you watched out your window as you drove up to the restaurant. the building looked normal, which gave you hope.
you went to pay the driver, but he shook his head. you looked at him questioningly. he laughed and showed you that it had been paid for by “chris.” you giggled and thanked him.
as he drove off you turned around and looked at the intricate entrance. you walked up to the door and admired the door handles. you took a steadying breath in and pulled the door open.
you walked in expecting a bustling of conversations, but were met with instrumental music. you looked around and noticed there was no maître d'. were you in the wrong place? you were about to call chris when you heard him.
“y/n? is that you?” you hear from behind the wall that held the rest of the restaurant.
“hello?” you reply. you walk around the wall to the dining room. your jaw drops. the place has one table at the center set up with the rest holding candles and bouquets. but most noticeable was the gorgeous man in front of you.
“y/n, i’m so glad you made it!” he says, rubbing the back of his neck.
“holy shit,” you look at him, of all the people who you thought you’d meet. you were surprised by how handsome he was. he had a face, though, that reminded you of someone.
“you know me?” he asked. suddenly nervous, he should have gotten an nda prepared for you. he was never this dumb when it came to dating. he nagged his members for these types of things, too.
“no, you do look familiar. but, i’m more shocked that someone as handsome as you was on a sugar daddy website. like whoa,” you say. you giggle at him.
“well, baby, you look phenomenal. shall we take a seat?” he pulls out a chair for you. veins in his forearms are popping.
you walk over to the seat and sit down. you're about to scoot in when you feel weightless for a moment and his presence next to your head.
he scoots you in, but not too close. actually to the perfect point that you like. you stare at him in awe. he is pure man.
never before had you been lifted so easily. you didn’t even hear him when he lifted you either. (shoutout to his video of him deadlifting nearly 400 lb).
you stare down at your plate as you wait for him to sit down. doing anything and everything to not think about him. keeping the blush from rising. although, he sees it.
he smirks to himself at how easily he rattled you. you weighed nothing to him. as you turned the corner to meet him, he knew he was gone for you. you hadn’t even talked to him, and he knew.
it didn’t have to do with your looks, though it was a bonus. it was the way you held yourself. the kindness in your eyes, the shyness you held, the little ‘o’ your lips made when you saw him.
never before in his life did he think he’d love to see that reaction again. he knew he was handsome; he had millions telling him. but seeing the effect he had? absolutely ten times better than the bubble messages.
after having dinner and talking with chris, you decided this wasn’t too bad. if all of the men on the app acted like he did, then the babies wouldn’t complain. all the hesitancy that you had felt beforehand melted away.
he was in the back taking care of the check. while you waited, you decided to go to the restroom when you heard a conversation.
“did you see him?” a female voice said.
“duh, and the way he looked tonight?” another said in return.
“it’s too bad. of course he had a date tonight and it wasn’t the rest of the group.” the first one said, her sorrow deeply inflected.
“i agree. that girl he was with doesn’t seem to have a clue. poor girl will get eaten up and spit out, then probably stomped on.”
“well, we signed NDA’s otherwise i’d suggest we do it.”
that was all you heard before they moved away and started to fade. you felt like you were going to throw up, and at the same time like you wanted to throw a rock at those dummy's heads.
instead of heading for the bathroom like you intended. you went back to the table to gather your things when you saw him again. he was taking a picture with the owner. he looked up and saw you walking back in, and smiled. the owner said something and everyone returned to the back.
“hey! i thought i lost you already.” he says to you, his ear bright red.
“oh, no. i was going to use the restroom.” you reply. rubbing your arms, uncomfortable after the conversation you just heard.
“babygirl, whats wrong?” he walks over to you and holds your hands still.
“there were two girls in the back. they were talking about us. said something about me getting chewed and spat.” you say. curious as to how this will turn out.
“excuse me?” he responds. his tongue poking his cheek, anger evident on his face. “did they say this to your face? where were you?”
“no, i heard them through the server doorway. i was heading to the bathroom. i’m kind of in shock about it.” you reply. shocked by the practical admission you received.
“babygirl, i am so sorry. i will protect you undoubtably. let me go talk to the manager. those girls wont see another restaurant in their life.” he says, walking towards the back.
“chris, it's okay. i promise. i’m just shocked. why would they need to sign NDA’s?” you say, grabbing his hand, stopping him.
“i will explain. i promise, just. please let me do this. they are treading on thin ice with the way they spoke. even if they hadn’t gotten caught. they shouldn’t speak like that.” he says, looking into your eyes. you see it then, something in his eyes that scream protect.
“they said they would take a photo of me so whoever it was could have easier access to me, or something similar. i don’t know if they actually did or not, but i can tell this means a lot. i trust you.” you reply, laying out your cards.
you smile softly at him. he smiles back at you, his dimples popping. making you swoon over the boyish look on his face.
“thank you, y/n. it means a lot. let me talk to the manager.” he kisses your forehead and walks towards the door the manager went through.
he could feel the rage boiling in his stomach. his fists clenching and unclenching. he knocked on the door and walked through. he saw them all having a team meeting. the manager was surprised to see him.
“mr. bahng, is everything alright? i thought we had it all squared away?” he says, walking over to chan.
“actually, two of your team have threatened to break NDA,” he says, looking over the crew. two girls look down, bingo.
“what! we would never allow that.” the manager says.
“we can look at the service area cameras and confirm? or i can sue the two who were going to ruin my date's life out of petty jealousy.” he says, shrugging his shoulders.
“service area? let me look,” the manager responds, taking the request seriously. he goes to the security computer and goes to the cameras. “when did this occur mr. bahng?”
“maybe 15 minutes ago.” he says, looking at the two girls who won't look up and are fiddling with their fingers.
“here we go,” the manager says. chan walks over and the two watch the clip.
the conversation blares through the speakers, but what you hadn't heard, was that they had already taken photos of chris and were planning on selling them. the manager turns around and looks at the girls.
“i believe you two should delete those photos. if you haven’t already. or i can for you. come show me,” he states. unhappy that this has happened.
“yes sir,” they both mumble, grabbing their phones from their back pocket. they pull up the photos, and chan is shocked to see so many photos of not just him, but you too.
“what the fuck?” chan says, anger radiating from any notable feature, his posture, his face, the tone of voice, and his eyes.
“ladies, i do believe you both have broken our very strict nda contract we have here. i will cover your shifts for the next week. you both are fired,” the manager says. shameful that this happened.
“that’s not fair! it doesn’t say anything about firing us in the nda.” one speaks up.
“no, but that is implied with common sense,” the cook speaks up. he looks disappointed, his coworkers and friends betraying a trust to everyone here tonight.
“it is in the nda, but thank you chef.” the manager says. he turns to chan, “mr. bahng i am deeply sorry. i know tonight was important to you. please allow me to make up for this mistake.”
he bows to chan, and chan smiles. he taps his shoulder shaking his head.
“no need to bow, thank you. i wanted to ensure nothing ruined my date’s night or life. thank you. i think we will be back,” he replies, turning to the cook. “the food was absolutely delicious, you are in the right field.”
“thank you, sir,” he says, bowing his head.
with that, chan leaves the room. angry at what he saw on the phone but knowing that this would be handled. then he saw you. sitting at the table, your face in your hand. a faraway look adorning your beautiful face.
“babygirl, it’s taken care of. no on is going to get you. not while you have me.” he says, coming to kneel at your feet.
“thank you, chris. are you okay?” you grab is face, his hands coming up to cover yours.
“just fine, baby. should we head back to mine?” he asks, worried you’ll say no.
“if you’ll tell me about the nda’s and why you needed one,” you reply. tilting your head with a sneaky grin.
“of course, shall we?” he says, standing up and holding his hand out for you.
you take his hand. smiling up at him. he leads you down the hall with the bathrooms from earlier, but instead walks through the end doorway. leading to a closed garage space. you see a sleek black car.
he walks you to the passenger side, opening your door for you. you get in and are immediately encased in his cologne and scent. you settle into the seat as he walks around front and gets in.
“ready to go for a drive, babygirl?” he asks, and you giggle. you nod, and the engine roars to life. little did you know, he made a joke any STAY would get.

You are pacing back and forth between the door and your room, first it was socks, then it was the wrong shoes, you cannot forget lipstick, phone charger. Meanwhile while all of this is happening your roommate is sat back on the sofa watching the live in entertainment. "Would you stop staring at me like that?" you comment as you inspect your reflection in the mirror.
"You really like them don't you?"
"What?"
"You're preening"
"I'm what?" she rolls her eyes, sitting up in her seat "Stressing, about how you look, how you smell, because of the date"
"Isn't that normal?"
"For a date? Sure, but you and I both know its just not that"
"I'm starting to think that you want me to move into the pack's dorm so you can have the flat to yourself" her jaw drops in mock offense "And because I know how much this means to you! a girl can multitask" she jokes, sending you a wink.
you sigh "I do really like them"
"I knew it"
"Its just, they've been really sweet the past couple of weeks since I met them and...yeah I see why the bond is there"
"I know, you've been spending most evenings there since that movie night you had with them"
"Ok I'm going"
"Good luck! Go get yourself that alpha or whatever"

You play an internal game of roulette as the door to the skz dorms opens, Minho behind it being revealed. "Hi!"
"Hey y/n, come in, Chan will be a minute he takes forever to get out the door some days"
You laugh a little "It's okay"
when silence falls between the two of you he clears his throat "I was wondering, could I get the recipe for those cookies you made for movie night? They were really good"
You perk up at the question, the primal instinct within you happy that a mate likes your cookies "Yeah? I'm glad you liked them...I'll be honest I don't really use a recipe? i eyeball it a lot, maybe I could teach you though?"
a smile slowly creeps its way onto his face "Yeah that would be nice, maybe that could be our date...courting or whatever"
"Alright!"
"Y/nnie!" Jisung runs over, wrapping you into a hug "Hi Ji"
"What are you two walking about?"
"Sorting our courting date"
"Hold up! No- wait- I wanted to call dibs on the next one" he whines at the news, Minho laughs, messing up Jisung's hair. "I suppose I can let you have yours first, you did find her first anyway"
"Y/n?" he looks to you with pleading eyes. "Hey I don't mind either way we'll get round to one or the other eventually" Jisung nearly jumps, hugging you again. "Yes! Okay! Great" he kisses the top of your head, a blush creeping up your neck.
"You get flustered easily don't you?" Minho notes
"shut up" you murmur.
"I thought that this was meant to be my date" Chan appears nearby, making you realise he has a habit of doing that. Jisung rolls his eyes "Go, before I steal you away"
"You ready to go?"
"Yep"
"Great, lets go before the others realise you're here and steal you too" he ushers you out the door.
☾☾☾☾☾☾☾☾☾☾☾☾☾☾☾☾☾☾☾☾☾☾☾☾☾☾☾☾☾☾☾☾☾☾☾☾☾☾☾☾☾☾☾☾☾☾☾☾
"I should've asked if you liked pho? I chose this place because I know it's good but I really don't know what food you like" he scratches the back of his neck, you smile, finding it cute how stressed the entire pack get over stuff like this. "Pho is good"
"Great!" He opens the door for you, the two of you settling down at a table by the window. "We were wondering, what do you do? Because all of us work together"
A pit forms in your stomach, great, another thing that separates you and them.
"Oh really?"
"Yeah, its how we all met actually it was just coincidence that all of us were mates, we lucked out really"
"Oh, I guess really I was bound to be last regardless" You can't decide whether or not thats a good thing, on one hand it makes you feel a little better about it being last because it was going to happen regardless, it means that you didn't do anything wrong. But also makes you stick out once more.
"I suppose... but we found you now though, none of that matters anymore" You appreciate what Chan is trying to say, but it does matter to you, there isn't much to do about it, but it still matters.
"I'm still a student"
"Oh really? What are you studying?"
"Media and journalism" you reply, looking over the menu. "Oh that's cool, smarter than all of us already then, we didn't do university" he laughs a little, trying to make light of it all "What do all of you do anyway?"
He freezes, should he say? how does he drop that in conversation? how would you react? he's not had to explain it to a mate before.
"We work in music"
"Oh nice, like production or something?"
he chuckles a little under his breath, if only you knew "Yeah, we've been doing it pretty much straight out of school"
"you'll have to let me take a listen sometime" you take a sip of your drink, there is actually something a little endearing about your mates being in the creative industry, something about it you can't place. "Yeah? You'd want to hear our work"
You shrug "I mean of course, I think its best I take at least an interest in my mates' lives" over the mouthwatering scent of pho emits a scent of joy emitting from him, drawing you in.
You have heard of omegas being attracted to the pack alpha's scent the most within a pack before but you did not believe it until now "I agree, it's why I wanted to take you out today...I also wanted to ask how are you feeling? about all this I mean"
"I'm...happy, or optimistic I guess, I appreciate that you all putting in the effort to make me feel comfortable but I do want to be here, you don't need to pretend like you need to con me into showing up. The mating bond exists...and there's no reason why I wouldn't want to at least try... also..."
"Hm?"
"it's not like I haven't been waiting...or at least wondering about when I'd finally find one of my mates, I just didn't expect to find all you at once"
Chan's face melts a little at the concept, partially out of feeling bad knowing that you have been waiting but also a part of him finding something cute about the notion. "You know...we've been waiting too"
"Oh?"
"Yeah...even when you've found one of your mates you can still sense when you haven't found one, we've spent the past few years wondering when we'd meet you, I think thats why we're a little...overly cautious now that we have"
"Well, at least we're on the same page" you smile, shrugging as you take a sip of your drink. "So...you don't have to answer but...do you think you may join the pack?"
Your omega perks up internally, is he asking you? does he mean it?
"Yes...yes I do..."
Chan sits up, smiling, a scent of happiness washing over him "Really?"
"Yeah...I mean I really like you all, it may be a minute before I'll be ready to confirm the bond but for now...yes"
"Is this still...theoretical...or are you actually joining us"
"It doesn't have to be"
"Oh my god- I mean...yes... great, cool" he asks for the bill, pulling out his wallet "I've got this"
"Chris..."
"You're part of my pack now this is what I do" he pays, the two of you stepping towards the door, he reaches hand out for you to take, the two of you wandering up the street hand in hand as you leave the resturant.
"Speaking of being a part of the pack now...you mentioned moving in a few weeks ago...would there even be room for me? there's a lot of us even if you double up"
Chan freezes, blushing a little "That um...won't be an issue"
"Hm?"
"We do double up, but thats not because we have to we just choose to a lot...that being said...you already have a room" your jaw drops "I do?"
He nods, running a hand through his hair "Like I said... you weren't the only one waiting, you don't have to move in yet if you don't want to, but it is there and it is yours, if you wanna stay when you come over, or need somewhere to get away"
Damn it. Your roommate was right.
"Let's start with staying the night first and then we'll see"
"Sounds good...also.../I um...this is going to be a bit awkward but there are a couple of things that I do kinda need to know... so I can take care of you the same way that I do the rest of the pack, when is your next heat?"
You blush at the question, understanding why the question is being asked but still catching you off guard. "It's a few weeks off still"
"Okay, do you...want our help with that? the first one after finding mates can be intense and you don't have to go through it alone if you don't want too, the help is there"
"I'll be honest I don't think I'll be able to answer until I'm in pre-heat, I'm a bit indecisive about that stuff"
"Okay, well the offer is there"
"Thank you chris.... you've been really good to me the past couple of weeks" he shrugs, his ears turning red "I look after my own"
The strange thing about working with Stray Kids is not the noise, the chaos, or the sheer volume of inside jokes, it is the sheer amount of physical affection. Your natural setting is touchy to say the least. You greet Chan with a quick shoulder bump. When Felix walks by, your arm automatically loops through his. If Changbin makes a good point, he earns a friendly knuckle-punch. Physical proximity is your language of comfort and acknowledgment.
And then there is Yang Jeongin. He doesn't just dislike skinship, he seems to have an active forcefield. You can practically chart the recoil radius when Hyunjin approaches for a hug, or the dramatic push-off Han uses when he tries to lean on Jeongin’s shoulder. It isn't mean, it is just intensely, definitively no.
You know this, You respect it.
But respecting the boundary isn’t easy because you aren't just friends with Jeongin. You are secretly, stupidly, completely in love with him.
You love the sharp, clever glint in his eyes when he wins a game, the tiny dimple that appears when he laughs at his hyungs, and the way he hunches just slightly over his suitcase, planning his next outfit or post. These quiet observations are the closest you allow yourself to get to him. If you touch him, even accidentally, you know your heart rate will spike and you will give yourself away.
The disaster happens on a quick break during dance practice.
You are all flopped across the studio floor, scrolling on your phones, when Minho decides it is too quiet. He silently creeps up behind Jeongin, who is trying to sip a water bottle, and locks him in a headlock.
"Hyunjin! Han! Get him!" Minho yells.
Chaos erupts. Jeongin, trapped, kicks his legs and whines, "No! Stop! Get away from me!"
Hyunjin, delighted by the pure terror, leans in close to Jeongin's ear. "One little kiss, Jeongin. Just one. Give your hyung some love!"
Han, ever the hype man, gets right up in Jeongin's face. "Yeah, Ayena. You keep making that cute little pout, you’re just asking for it!"
The atmosphere is loud, familiar, and ridiculously playful. You are laughing so hard you can barely breathe, when Felix calls out. “Isn’t he so cute? I bet you want to give our Jeonginnie a kiss too, Noona“
“I mean, if he keeps making that pout…”
Minho and Han instantly howl with laughter at the audacity. Minho releases his hold to dramatically clutch his chest. Hyunjin is still grinning, but as he moves his head back, you catch Jeongin's eyes, and the laughter dies in your throat.
He isn't just annoyed or playful anymore. He freezes, his eyes, previously full of mock outrage, go wide and panicked. You are the only one who sees the genuine fear there as his gaze lands on you.
He doesn't push his hyungs away, he makes an immediate, frantic scramble for the door while Minho is still wheezing and Han is wiping a tear of laughter. Jeongin trips over a yoga mat in his haste. He doesn't say a word, just runs.
Your stomach drops out. He isn't rejecting a joke kiss. He is rejecting the thought of you.
He doesn't return for twenty minutes. When he does, he studiously avoids making eye contact with you, only talking to Chan and Minho about scheduling. You feel a flush of mortification that lasts the rest of the day.
You crossed a boundary you hadn't even known existed, and the takeaway is clear: You made him genuinely uncomfortable. You need to back off. You’re not nearly as close to him as they are. It’s not professional to be making jokes like that about the idols you work with.
Your new policy is the "two-foot bubble."
You start leaving Jeongin’s coffee mug on the table instead of handing it to him. If you walk down a narrow hallway, you press yourself against the wall to ensure your shoulder doesn't accidentally brush his. It is exhausting, but you figure it is the only way to make up for your monumental screw-up.
The rest of the guys notice. "You trying out for the Witness Protection Program, Bunny?" Changbin asks one afternoon, watching you place a full four feet of sofa between yourself and Jeongin before sitting down. "You're giving our maknae the wide berth today."
"Nope! Just trying to respect his space," you chirp, maybe a little too loudly.
What you don't see is Jeongin's mounting confusion. He sees you laughingly head-pat Han after he finishes a line of lyrics. He sees Felix use your thigh as a pillow during a movie night. He sees you and Chan lean close together to look at a monitor. The only person you seem incapable of even brushing is him.
Why is the one person who is always touching everyone else, avoiding only me? he wonders. Did I say something? Did she think I looked stupid when I run? Does she think I’m weird?
The tension reaches its peak a week later while cleaning up after a live. You are both kneeling in the corner of the practice room, winding thick bundles of cords.
"I need that one," you say, pointing to a red XLR cable.
You both reach for it at the exact same moment. Your fingers, so close to his, brush lightly.
It is barely a second of contact, yet your whole body seizes up, instantly flooding with the ridiculous, terrifying awareness of his presence.
“Oh! Sorry!” you cry out, yanking your hand back as if you touch a hot stove, and immediately scrambling for a different, much safer cable.
You don't notice the small, hopeful movement of his hand, the way his fingers twitch, ready to gently hold your wrist for just a second.
The withdrawal is the final nail in the coffin for Jeongin. She physically recoils, he thinks. She definitely hates being near me.
From that moment, he becomes stiff, awkward, and overly polite. His voice is always formal when he speaks to you. He rarely looks you in the eye. You interpret this as solid confirmation: he finds you repellent, and your only option is to endure the polite distance.
The confrontation comes moments after a late-night, high-energy live broadcast. The main stage area is chaos, but you are in the relative quiet of the staff equipment area backstage, meticulously running through the post-show checklist. The air still hums with static from the show. Jeongin walks over to where you are neatly stacking his personal mics and earpieces, looking utterly drained and hesitant.
"Y/N-ssi," he says, his voice quiet, almost lost in the dim light.
"Jeongin! Did you need something?" You keep your eyes focused on the custom IEMs, wiping them down with a small cloth.
He doesn't answer right away. Then, Chan approaches the area, handing off his towel to a stylist. He glances over at the small, intensely quiet corner where you stand cleaning and Jeongin stands fiddling with his sleeve.
"Wow," Chan murmurs, rubbing the back of his neck. "It's unsettlingly quiet back here. Are you two practicing a silent film?" He chuckles lightly, but his eyes briefly linger on the unnatural distance between you. "Y/N, can you just double-check the time for the early meeting tomorrow? It's on the whiteboard."
Chan claps Jeongin lightly on the shoulder before leaving, the casual sound echoing in the silence of the staff area.
Jeongin waits until the area is truly deserted. He takes a small, shaky breath and looks down, his shoulders slump. He kicks at a loose cable, unable to look at you.
"It's just... everyone else. They still... they get a touch," he finally mumbles, his voice so low you have to strain to hear it. "But with me... it's like you can't even stand to be in the same space. Did I—did I seriously do something that bad? You really don't like me at all, do you?"
You stop, your hand frozen on the earpiece. The raw, genuine defeat in his body language makes your entire internal defense system crumble.
"What? Jeongin, no!" You drop the gear. Your natural impulse wins, and without thinking about the two-foot bubble or the professionalism, you quickly reach out to gently touch his arm, intending to reassure him.
The moment your skin brushes his sleeve, he flinches, his whole body going rigid again. Your hand immediately retracts. The sight of his quick, unconscious recoil stings, a confirmation of your worst fear. He sees your instant withdrawal. His shoulders slump even further. He kicks the floor, a tiny, almost imperceptible sound of frustration.
"I just... I wish you didn't hate it so much," he murmurs, his voice barely audible, a needy, lost-puppy sound that wrenches your heart. He sounds utterly dejected.
You stare at the top of his bowed head, confusion hitting you. “Hate what?“
He lifts his head slowly, and his eyes are wet, reflecting the dim emergency lights of the backstage corridor. He immediately ducks his head again, pressing his fists to his eyes in a spasm of shame.
"The kiss thing," he mutters into his shirt, the words muffled and rushed. "I ran because I... I didn't want the kiss to be a joke? And then you started avoiding me so much. You won't even bump into me." He kicks the floor harder. "The others get touches, but me? You-you look away so fast. And now you just... you don't want to be near me because I'm weird."
The quiet confession, fueled by embarrassment, hangs in the humid air. The realization is a physical jolt. You shove the cleaning cloth and the earpiece onto the table, the clatter loud in the quiet area. He freezes, his face lifting slowly, his cheeks immediately flushed scarlet. He stares, the shock of your touch and the honesty of your words hitting him simultaneously.
Dropping your voice to a tense whisper. "I didn't hate touching you."
His eyes go impossibly wide. He doesn't pull away. Instead, he just covers his face with his free hand, a desperate, mortified groan escaping him.
"This is-" he mutters into his palm, muffled by embarrassment.
You don't wait for permission or clarification this time. You reach out, your fingers sliding around his wrist and gently pulling his hand away from his face. You interlace your fingers with his, palm to palm. This time, there is no flinch, no rigidity. He lets out a long, shaky sigh, the sound of weeks of tension finally escaping his lungs. He doesn't pull his hand back. Instead, he squeezes yours, gently, his thumb rubbing tentatively over your knuckles.
You drop his hand and step fully into his space, closing the distance you agonized over for weeks. You cup his cheek, your thumb stroking the soft skin beneath his eye. He stills instantly, but this time, there is no flinch, only a slow, shaky inhale. His eyes flutter shut, the movement a silent, hopeful invitation.
You lean in and press your mouth to his, a soft, tentative contact that holds all the unspent emotion of the past weeks. It is quiet and shy, the gentlest of confirmations. He responds instantly, his free hand lifting to the small of your back, pulling you flush against him. The kiss deepens, losing its tentative edge as the realization of mutual feelings finally explodes between you.
You pull back, breathless, but keeping your forehead pressed to his. His eyes remain closed, a relieved, perfect smile reaching his eyes, dimples popping.

summary: After spending most of your life searching for your mates you discover that they all found eachother first, Jisung brings you to meet your pack
Warnings: none
"You smell different" Your roommate notes as soon as you set foot in the door "Hello to you too"
"where have you been?"
You pause, should you say? it feels like saying it will all of a sudden make it seem too real, too permanent, like it would jinx it. "Nowhere, just took a detour on the way home"
"A detour that ends up with you drenched in a different scent?" You hadn't even noticed until she pointed it out, becoming somewhat nose blind to yourself. "It happens every now and then, must have passed an alpha that still hasn't got control yet"
"Wait..." she wanders over, sniffing the air around you "Wait no, that's you, your scent has changed"
"What? No... Really?" you hold up your sleeve to sniff what she means. "Yeah its more vanilla than the brown sugar that it was...Holy shit" she slaps you lightly on your upper arm "You found a mate!"
"What?"
"You're a terrible liar, it's literally your biology the scent doesn't lie"
"...fine" a smile creeps onto your face. She leans back, sitting up on the counter "Spill"
"I don't even know I was just walking through the park and..."
"Snap?"
"Yeah... but its more than that...my mate, he had already found the rest of our pack...they all live together"
"Shit. Oh god y/n..."
"I'm meant to be going back in a couple of hours to meet the rest of them, I've met three of them, that's where I was I went to their place" your roommate squeals "Oh my god this is big, so big"
"I'm shitting myself honestly, I mean they're all already together and our close"
"Look, the bond snapped for a reason, you at the very least must be compatible with them, but think about it this way, you will have an whole pack right out the gate, you won't have to search ever again, finding one mate is great but...until you find your last one you still feel incomplete until the whole pack forms"
"I guess...wow i didn't even think about that..."
"That's why you have me" she takes out her phone "I guess I gotta start advertising for a new roommate" Your head snaps up "What? Why?"
"you'll be moving in with them soon i'm sure of it, unless either you of them properly screw things up its just what happens when you find your mates"
"Oh... I didn't think about that...let's cross that bridge when it comes to it"
"Alright, well all i'm saying is you're definitely problem so unless they are I wouldn't be too worried about tonight, I'd just wear something comfortable if you're meeting a whole pack of mates for the first time"
"Yeah...I've already had a trial run of that, I've met three out of eight in the same thirty minutes"
"oh shit yeah, I mean if one of your Alpha's are worth anything they'll take care of you, but just in case keep me updated, I'll come pick you up if need be"
"Alright...yeah...we'll have to see"

nerves creeped up your spine as you knocked on the door of the skz dorms hearing the commotion inside, realising they were all inside. Chan answers the door, smiling wide as he registers that is you. "Hi, come on in"
You step through the door to hear a lot of commotion across the common area of the dorms, a couple of them in the kitchen sorting out snacks, a few more arguing in the living area over the arrangements. Chan places a hand on your shoulder "Sorry about them they get distracted easily, come in properly, make yourself comfortable"
Jisung pauses at the sight of you "Y/n come here" the two other pack members freezes at his statement, finally realising that you had arrived. "Its okay" chan whispers when you don't immediately go over.
"This is one of our alpha's Minho and head beta hyunjin" jisung steps closer to you as the two of you enter the kitchen "Hi..."
"Wow I know you said she was cute but..."
Snap.
"Hyunjin!" Jisung punches him in the arm. Minho rolls his eyes "Y/n what's your favourite movie snack? there's a good chance we have it in we bought out pretty much an entire store.
"Oh um...about that, I saw jisung brought in a load of crisps before, I thought I'd bring cookies, I felt bad coming empty handed and figured I didn't see any sweet stuff so..." You offered up the container you brought with you.
Minho's face falls at the sight "did you make those?"
"Yeah...is that alright?"
"its great, I just...you put in the effort and you didn't even have much time, you didn't need to"
"They didn't take long, I wanted to"
Snap.
You feel it harder this time, nearly falling backwards into chan "Oh- Got you, are you okay?"
"Fine, sorry"
"Its okay, its a lot we know, we've been there, Felix actually came up with something that may help" Felix pops his head up from the sofa at the mention of his name, jumping up at the sight of you.
"y/n-ah, come see what we did" he drags you out of the kitchen towards the living area where they had stripped the couches of the cushions to form a wall by propping them up in front of them, blankets making a floor. "I was thinking about how when I joined the pack and well...its meant to emulate a nest, hopefully it will help you feel more comfortable and at home without actually building a nest so you don't get territorial about having strangers in it"
"Felix...that's really sweet of you its great"
"Thank god because he has been very bossy about the arrangement of it" one of the other pack members throws his head back in relief "That's seungmin, another one of our alpha's and I'll have you know nest building is a science"
snap.
Seungmin sits up straight as it happens, clearly alarmed "Oh did it effect you this time?" felix teases.
"Shut up..." he murmurs, he looks to you in a little bit of confusion and curiosity. "It's okay min" Another pack member runs his hand through seungmin's hair "Hi y/n, I'd come over and say hi properly but I'll give you a minute first"
"Thank you" the appreciation lets more emotion slip through than you expected to "Changbin is our other beta" Felix whispers, leaning closer to you. "The best beta, get it right."
Snap.
Felix shifts to wrap his arm around you "Jees I nearly heard it that time, there's only one left at least, sit next to me in the nest? or... not nest, jeongin will show up at some point" you smile, nodding as the two of you settle down in the makeshift area they made. "What are we watching anyway?"
"Deadpool, it was chan's turn to pick"
"You don't have to say it like that deadpool is a great movie!" Chan sits on the other side of you. "How are you feeling?"
"The nest helps"
"Good, I'm glad"
"What did I miss?" A new voice steps out from one of the rooms, stopping in his tracks at the sight of the three of you on the floor.
*Snap*
instinctually you let out a small whimper that you hope that the rest did not hear even though it is very clear that Chan and Felix did. "Jeongin this is y/n, our mate"
Our mate.
The strange little voice in the back of your head likes it a little too much.
"Oh...Hi, don't tell me I missed everything"
"Jeongin is our last alpha"
"Hey! Not fair, Jisung presented after I did"
"Fine, youngest alpha then" you laugh a little, picking up on the type of banter that seems to be a running theme across the pack. "What's funny Omega?" Chans voice is strangely soft for his alpha to be slipping out a little with the vocabulary
"You all sound the same, or similar"
"Oh... I guess we do, I suppose it's just what happens after a while"
Jeongin sniffs "Do I smell baked cookies?"
"oh yeah brought some in the kitchen" you nod over your shoulder, Jeongin runs over as the scent drags him to the cookies. "Well that's everyone at least"
"Jisung wasn't kidding when he said the pack was alpha heavy"
"Yeah its...interesting for sure" Felix laughs "I was happy to find out we have another Omega"
"Felix the brownies are burning" Jisung yells from across the the room "Shit." he shoots up from the nest, running to the kitchen. leaving the two of you in comfortable silence. "Hey" he gently nudges your arm.
"I was wondering...if you're still open to being a part of this, could I take you on a date this weekend?"
"Hm?"
"I know you said you'd be open to courting, and well... the boys don't want to come on too strong but they really like you...and so do I, as the pack alpha I figured I make the first move"
"I...I'd like that"
"Really?"
"Really." nervously the two of you interlock hands. "I don't know how busy you are but I imagine the boys will all want to take you out on a date at some point as well."
"Oh... okay, I'll be honest I don't know much about how courting really works, or a lot of stuff about packs actually"
"That's alright, its just dating really, to see if you'd be a good fit in our pack, which i think we know the answer to already but its also to ease you in, get to know us and then after..."
"After?"
"Well it would be up to you, you could either leave which I mean we wouldn't like it but we'd accept its your choice, or stay, move in if you'd like, once your comfortable we could also confirm the bond"
"Confirm the bond... you mean..."
"Claiming, yeah...there's no pressure at all we don't even have to talk about it yet lets just focus on the date first"
"Okay"
you quickly realise that chan probably read your reaction as you being uncomfortable when in reality it is just shock.
they actually want this. you.
logically you know its just the omega talking after being without a mate for long enough, they are your mates logically why wouldn't they?
But still, something bubbles up in your chest at the notion.
"Hyung what did you say to her she's pratically tail wagging" Jisung throws himself where Felix was. At the mention you enter a deep blush, Chan laughs "Cute."
