i once heard the advice that you should look at the publishers that your favourite authors use, and i checked out lulu because i know that's what you've used for your latest books. would you recommend it? i like the way the site is set up, but i'm looking for possible cons that i haven't noticed. thanks!

Yes, I would recommend it, highly. You get paid every month on time through PayPal and can track the number and title of books you’ve sold daily. They also prepare the proper tax forms for you on time every year. You can design and upload the entire book by yourself to the website, you get to choose where it is distributed, and you get to choose the price. You can also set your own sales and discounts. And Lulu itself has frequent sales on top of any sales you set yourself. I’ve never had any issues with it.

The only con would be that you are required to order a proof copy of your book first. I mean, I would do that anyway just to check for errors, but I understand that this could be a financial disincentive to some authors.
