Indulge in the rich and creamy goodness of chocolate hummus, a secretly healthy dessert dip. Made with chickpeas, cocoa, and natural sweeteners, it's the perfect guilt-free treat for chocolate lovers. Plus, it's quick and easy to prepare!
Ingredients: 1 can 15 oz chickpeas, drained and rinsed. 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder. 1/4 cup maple syrup or honey. 1/4 cup almond butter or peanut butter. 2 tablespoons plain Greek yogurt. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. 1/4 teaspoon salt. 2-3 tablespoons water adjust for desired consistency. Optional toppings: chocolate chips, chopped nuts, berries.
Instructions: In a food processor, combine the chickpeas, cocoa powder, Greek yogurt, almond butter or peanut butter, maple syrup or honey, vanilla extract, and salt. Mix until smooth and creamy, stopping occasionally to scrape down the sides to make sure all the ingredients are thoroughly mixed. Add water one tablespoon at a time to the mixture if it's too thick until you get the right consistency. Spoon the chocolate hummus into a serving bowl and sprinkle with extras, if using. Serve with graham crackers, pretzels, or fresh fruit for dipping. Have fun!
