Guys look at my neat new black falcon guitar
I don’t know if I’m going to have kids or not, but I did realize something today. When I was little kid I would stay up way past my bed time of 9:00PM playing video games with my friends and my cousins while our parents told us we were rotting our brains and should go outside. I still have clear memories of those times and they’re some of the happiest times I’ve ever been in my life.
I realized that if I get older and decide to have kids that I shouldn’t judge or condemn them for how they choose to create their long-lasting happy memories, even if it’s with some piece of technology or activity I don’t understand. Generational activities change, but the memories you make when you’re little shape parts of who you are forever.

Here’s a thing: the guy who played Officer Clemmons on Mr. Rogers’ Neighborhood (and also the dude whose feet Mr. Rogers washed when they hung out in the kiddie pool on that one episode) was watching them film the end of one of the episodes where Mr. Rogers goes "you've made today a special day by just you're being you. And I like you just the way you are" he thought Mr. Rogers was looking at him when he said then. He went up to Mr. Rogers and was like "Fred were you saying that to me just then?" and Mr. Rogers goes "I've been saying that to you for years and years. It was just today that you heard me."
I just think that’s real nice.
fun fact: the name of Shere Khan, the big tiger in the jungle book, translates roughly to King Chonk since Indians use the word shere to refer to big kitties very similarly to how we call them big chonkers
