How did you get into Butoh?
In college- I learned about it in theatre classes, then later I studied under a Butoh performer in NYC. I performed on my own a lot before then.

Let's Talk Postpartum.
Let's Talk Postpartum Bodies, Ya'll.
Before I was pregnant, I spent a long, long time each week on my appearance. I was a little more than slightly obsessed. I lived happily for four years as a Twenty-Something in New York City, the mecca of fashion, beauty, and looking fierce just to make a trip to the bodega. I wore carefully-selected vintage clothes that I religiously scoured from store after store to find. I took pride in that.…

Don’t allow your wounds to turn you into a person you are not.
Paulo Coelho (via wordsnquotes)
the type of people the world gives you -
light:
glows when they talk, dewy eyes, radiates with a blessing from the sun, calm in the air and goodness in their hearts
ocean:
bodies full of stories, a will that ebbs and flows, lazy smiles, no real devotion to anything but existence itself, wordless lullabies
earth:
minds like caverns, hands like stone, to hold or to hurt, heavy irises, earthquake tempers, stubborn desire for constant reconstruction
poison:
an inexplicable sense of sharpness, hot tears, decaying cores, irreversible tornadoes and infectious whispers
Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!!
“I don’t draw things from my own life when I’m acting. Ultimately, my job is to portray a living, breathing human being and to act truthfully under imaginary circumstances. I learn things from everything I do, but I’m constantly trying to better myself as an actor.”
For the #ownyourtruth movement, we shared some truth about the filming of @proxythefilm! Available on #itunes and #Amazon pre-sale today!
Hard to believe I only have about a month to go until Baby G is born! It seems like she could arrive any day now. I am nervous, excited, and overwhelmed with love and anticipation of what motherhood is going to be like. I am thankful for the new moms in my life whom I can call on for advice and support--I am sure I'll be making more calls to you soon! Here's to a healthy birth experience for us both. I hope that all goes smoothly as much as it can. This photo was right before my Second Baby Shower that my mom's friends threw for us. So grateful💖 #36weekspregnant day 1 #pregnantbelly #babybump #love
I'm very excited to announce that @proxythefilm will be available tomorrow for early release on @itunes and @amazon due to mass festival acclaim! The #ownyourtruth movement is going strong! I am so happy to have been in this film and now the whole world can experience it! www.proxythefilm.com

Artsy Mommy Vlog Chapter 1
Hello Everyone! This is an updated version of the Artsy Mommy Vlog that I posted earlier! I am still getting used to how to successfully do this thing!
So, a little about why I started Artsy Mommy:
I am 29, an artist, married, pregnant, and new to motherhood. My purpose is to share my experiences candidly and honestly in a world that glosses over what women actually experience! Although I can only tell from my perspective, I do hope that viewers can relate to my experience and I would love to hear about yours!
This is an introduction to my pregnancy (I am currently at 27 weeks day 1), and I will continue to vlog throughout the rest of my pregnancy and through mommyhood (to the best of my ability, it is my first time at the rodeo).
I hope to cover many discussion topics, hot-button issues, parenting tips, personal experiences, and more! This is a learning process for me, so be gentle!

A Christian Doctor Who Performs Abortions Explains His Convictions
In a given week, he might drive between Alabama, Georgia, and Mississippi — states where anti-choice legislators are working to end abortion entirely with waves of new restrictions. He says, “What I’m doing is right, because it’s always right to help people.”

Magenta isn’t found anywhere on the visible color spectrum. It doesn’t even have a wavelength. Basically, it’s just the absence of green.

This is amazing.
Women in Hollywood speak out about pervasive sexism. The New York Times asked 63 women who work in the film industry to discuss systemic discrimination they face. Women make up only four percent of directors hired by major studios.
