Key for the cousins: Rina and Baby the Litten/Incineroar are from Pokemon Sun Reagan and Trix the Scorbunny/Cinderace are from Pokemon Sword Rhea and Cashew the Sprigatto/Meowscarada are from Pokemon Violet. They all started their pokemon journeys around the same time at the ages of 11 (Rina and Reagan) and 13 (Rhea) and through everything they all made sure to offer support to each other (whether it be by simply texting the others battle tips or in Reagan's case, watching their cousin compete on TV.) They are related through their mothers, who are all sisters natively from Unova but fell in love with their spouses who were from Alola/Galar/Paldea and thus raised their daughters in said regions.

Also Headcannon time! I like to imagine that despite it being safer than being alone, battling wild pokemon or even trained ones is still dangerous due to moves that can have a large radius of damage- there's no way the trainers aren't getting hit!! So due to that and the fact that the wild areas especially can be tough when starting out, Reagan very quickly started to develop grey hairs. At first she could hide them but by the time she was battling the final two gyms it became impossible to hide. So Marnie and Hop (and later Bede) make sure she knows that her grey "stripes" are wicked cool!

The waves crashing against the shore did little to drown out his calls of her name, the words carrying through the wind to Mari who was beaming in the moonlight. Time seemed to slow for the two reuniting, oblivious to the rest of the world as Antonio tripped and skidded to a stop in a heap of limbs in front of the laughing mermaid. Her cold fingers helped him get up and dust off any stray sand, the smile never once leaving her face as he whispered apologies in between peals of laughter. While the rest of the world surrounding them was dark and dreary, it seemed their happiness seemed to spread to the sky, bright colors dancing above them to a song only the stars knew. Mari looked up and gasped in delight, hands fluttering at her side before tugging at Antonio’s coat to catch his attention, pointing eagerly up to the heavens above. “There! Pretty sky ocean.” “Wha-” Antonio gasped with wide eyes, in awe of the beauty before him.

I have been very inspired to draw my newest BG3 Tav (Selunite cleric/bard half elf) who is romancing Shadowheart.

Her name is Nerilynn and i adore her.
