Now that i've thought about it some more i really like that they added this garcia spoke up for voit so he didn't get the death penalty thing. She is fundamentelly morally opposed to the death penalty and i think ite cool she's standing on her morals like that. Now is it gonna play out that way in episode 7? Probably not. This show kinda has the thesis that some people deserve to die. So i'm not expecting a treatise on how the death penalty is untenable in a civilized state, but i respect garcia for what she did.

If you're gonna take the moral stance that the death penalty is wrong, then you have to stand on that in EVERY case.
