Like whatever your opinions of echo are you have to admit using her like that and her being a plot devise for bellarke is just lazy fucking writing. There are so may other options and so many different paths to take but apparently Jroth couldn’t be bother to go beyond the love triangle trope. 

At this point it’s not even subtle that bellarkes going to happen so using echo is just a dull way to throw a spanner in the works and she deserves better.
