idk if any of my followers have watched gossip girl but I will rant about it anyway. it genuinely altered my brain chemistry for the worse. when I tell you I was shipping Dan and Blair from season 1. they're very similar people from different worlds, they had the most enemies-to-bffs-to-lovers trajectory ever. i saw the vision. i sowed the seeds. i watered the crops. and then IT CAME TO FRUITION...

AND THEN THEY RANDOMLY HAVE BLAIR GO BACK TO HER SHITHEAD EX-BOYFRIEND WHO ATTEMPTED TO RAPE DAN'S LITTLE SISTER... WHO TRADED BLAIR FOR A HOTEL... bc... HUH?! Blair has such poor self-esteem she truly believes she's only herself when Chuck is influencing her to be a nasty bitch? she spends so long believing she is innately evil and unworthy of kindness (bc Chuck is the worst and bc her parents are bums) and then Dan is the first to convince her she's good... he writes a BOOK about how much he admires her... AND THEY'RE NOT ENDGAME?

like no shade Chuck/Blair is the worst human invention ever and THEY GOT MARRIED?!?!?!? not in my world tho. not in the world i'm living in. in my world Dan and Blair have a fabulous Yale romance and get married after 10 years of dating. IDGAF

It’s actually wild how the writers threw away all of Blair’s growth just to force her back with Chuck. They made it clear that with Dan, she was strong, mature, and grounded — but with Chuck, everything good in her vanishes. She turns into the absolute worst version of herself, and they acted like that was romantic. How ironic.
