During the 2020 period you got a lot of pushback around your perspective about the Virus. How do you feel about the way the conversation transpired now looking back? Did it change the way you viewed conversations through social media? Or the way you were able to express yourself?
Looking back 👀 , I think the biggest thing that changed for me was realizing how quickly social media can turn a conversation into sides. There wasn’t always much room for questioning something, having a different perspective, or even changing your mind as more information came out. Everything felt very all-or-nothing. I still stand by my right to question things and express what I believed, the experience changed the way I communicate online. It made me more intentional about what I share, how I say it, and which conversations are actually worth having publicly.
I also learned that social media isn’t always the best place for nuanced conversations. Sometimes people aren’t listening to understand…. they’re listening to decide which “side” you’re on. I don’t think it made me afraid to express myself, but it did make me more selective. Not every thought needs to be defended to strangers on the internet, and protecting my peace became more important than proving my perspective. 💕

Do you believe we exist in different timelines?
I do. I think every choice creates a version of us we’ll never meet.
We’re just living the timeline where we happened to choose this conversation.✨
“I think people would be happier if they admitted things more often. In a sense we are all prisoners of some memory, or fear, or disappointment—we are all defined by something we can’t change.”
