"Have ya lost it?" Kenpachi asked, not expecting an answer. He wasn’t sure what was wrong with the 2nd Division Captain. He was sure, however, that he didn’t really care. This should be an interesting fight.

As the woman began to make clones of herself, the large man frowned. The fuck am I s’posed to know which one’s real? Maybe if I slash ‘em all…

The attack happened before he could finish his train of thought, with all the clones simultaneously enclosing on him. Blades bit into his flesh, and he gritted his teeth.

Finally, after the dust settled a bit, he grinned. “Is that the best you’ve got?” he asked. “Jeez; this ain’t gonna warm up my blade at all.”

Reaching up, he grabbed a hold of his eye-patch, pulling the seal from his body. Monstrous reiatsu exploded outwards, taking the form of a laughing skull around him.

The other clones vanished when he removed his eye-patch and his power erupted with great force. A smirk grew on her face, " I'll end you even before you knew what happened to you." she said softly as she jumped away from the other Captain and drew her sword.

The blade started to glow as she said, " Sting all enemies to death...Suzumebachi." Her blade glowed even more and transformed, into her shika. She rushed him, ready to deliver her stings of death and end this quickly.

"I hate you."

His brown eyes moved to gaze at the source of such passionately spoken words of hatred. The smile never only dropped to a feigned one of sadness as he continued to examine the captain of the second squad. “How could you say that, Soi Fon-san? I thought we were friends?” His voiced reeked of both sarcasm and sincerity. The male knew with a fact how much this woman hated him, but it was more fun to mess with her.

Brown eyes peered at the other, void of fear as the blade pressed against his throat. “What would you have done has she left a note? Would you chose her over the only home you’ve known? Would you have stayed with her even if that meant being hunted down like a criminal?” The blonde stood a little taller and peered down at the woman. “If you feel like you could have, why didn’t you?”

" I..." Soi Fon said softly as her swords slowly moved away from the other's throat. " I was scared... I was a young girl who didn't know what to do..." she said as her voiced cracked a little. She dropped her sword as she covered her eyes to try and stop from crying. " I would have gone with her if I had the chance... but I was scared... I didn't want to shame my family... I didn't want to have her worry about my safety if I did go with her..." at this point her tears started to fall down her cheeks.

Kisuke kept the smile on his face but he was through trying to reason with the girl. “You have thought about no one but yourself. Did you think about how she felt? Did you think about how the other’s felt?”

The male turned his back to the woman on the ground. “Where were you then when she needed you most? You said you’d never leave her side yet I was the only one there. The ones whom were shut out of this world were the ones whom were there beside Yoruichi. Next time you want to blame someone then open your eyes.”

Kenpachi blinked, confused. Soi Fon’s expression was void of all emotion; even her signature scowl around him had vanished, leaving a blank slate in it’s wake. As he looked at her eyes, he noticed that they seemed… hollow. Empty, like staring into the eyes of the dead.

What the hell…?

His head snapped up as he heard his opponent walking away. Growling, he tried to push past the smaller Captain to give chase, but she held her ground. Glancing down again, he glared.

"I… must… protect… him…"

The words made Kenpachi pause. “What the fuck…”

He was unable to finish his question before the woman pulled back and jumped, aiming for his neck. Twisting, Kenpachi dodged the fatal blow, bringing up his sword to block the immediate slash that followed it. His face fell into a look of hard contemplation as he tried to figure out just what was happening. Finally he gave up.

"Che; so ya wanna fight, eh? I was always curious how strong ya were. Let’s see if you can make my day more interestin’," he said, his signature shark-like grin spreading across his face. He let his spiritual pressure flow more freely, covering the area in a light haze. Raising his sword, he swung at where Soi Fon was standing.
