Let me paint an imaginary picture for you, if you still think prohibition doesn’t matter and things are ok. Your mom comes over and you guys talk about your cannabis use for the first time. You tell her how it helps you, you show her your favorite strain, you connect. You show her how you prefer to medicate, you show her that you can smoke and be yourself. She’s happy, she leaves and drives home. An officer then pulls her over, maybe she didn’t signal, maybe she rolled through a stop sign, for whatever cause she’s now questioned by a cop. She has no weed, she doesn’t even smoke weed. You do though. You smoked around her. Her clothes maybe picked up a scent. The officer searches her car, finds nothing. He then tells YOUR MOM to take off her underwear, a female officer will be doing a body search. In public. Plain view of strangers. She says no, she says they don’t have a warrant. Two officers then hold her down and pull apart her legs and shove their fingers inside her. THERE IS NO CANNABIS. She’s released. Was that legal? Was that reasonable?
