Photos That look Like Renaissance Paintings
hi psst, would you happen to know why baroque was so fixated in portraying movement?
Oh man, it’s been a solid four years since I’ve taken a Baroque class so I’m a little old rusty.Â
Baroque is all about drama and exaggeration; the more the better. This didn’t just go for the composition but it was also for the colors and new techniques that were being used. Intense shadows created by chiaroscuro and tenebrism helped create movement and the sense of drama (my all time favorite techniques).Â
My main takeaways from Baroque: Intense. Dramatic. Religious (but then again, what wasn’t…). Realistic. Fucking fantastic.Â
I can really go on forever without even remembering enough to answer your question, so if anyone would like to reply with their thoughts, please do!!

AND THEN THEY LIVED HAPPILY EVER AFTER THE END!!!!

Gustav Klimt Brought to Life by Photographer Inge Prader.
Austrian photographer Inge Prader recently recreated Gustav Klimt’s masterworks for Style Bible, a part of the Life Ball Charity Event in Vienna, Austria.  A team of over 50 professionals worked on the demanding photography project which raises funds to help those with HIV/AIDS.  Makeup artists, costume designers, set designers, lighting specialists and many others worked with models and fully ornamented props to bring to life the fascinating, erotically charged work that Klimt is known for during his “Golden Phase.”
