so funny how nessa is so out of the loop when it comes to elphaba's relationships. "You're only going to the wedding for fiyero!!" and then she goes to see glinda. and then the wizard tries to convince her to the dark side with glinda. glinda and him have been working on their gay little theater routine for months. the wizard doesnt even attempt to use fiyero as leverage bc bro knows that shit won't work. the song that plays when fiyero leaves with elphaba is called "lust and betrayal". he wouldn't have even seen her if everything went according to plan. but yes nessa, elphaba "we barely know each other" thropp is deeply in love with fiyero

Not to be a lesbian but I hate Fiyero so much. What an absolutely useless ass character. It would be one thing if he had a good character arc of his own, but he doesn't. He's just Diet Galinda. Dancing Through Life is cool and all, but his entire purpose as a character is to cause a stupid ass love triangle conflict in act 2. Act/movie 2 is already such a mess with trying to connect it with the Wizard of Oz and there's already a big political conflict between the 2 female main characters that the narrative doesn't have time for. But sure, we can't have a musical without the obligatory het romance so let's screech the plot to halt so we can have our 2 female leads fight over the blandest white boy imaginable. Ladies amirite ;)

Also, not to be petty but "It's not lying [that you're beautiful], it's just seeing with different eyes" is probably the least romantic line I've ever heard and it's even worse in context.
