There is something so beautifully vicious about helping Bull choose his identity over his role in the system he was born into as the inquisitor loses their identity to the inquisition.
And there is something tender in how he tries to hold space for you to be a person too.
désolé, i didn't say it was a good plan.

something I like about fenris is he's spent his whole life either biting his tongue/being punished for speaking out of turn so now he's just in this idgaf era where he'll say whatever he's thinking whenever he's thinking it with absolutely 0 consideration of how it'll impact the room
Still tied to you
Look, I don’t care if his reason for being recruited is paper thin, he’s a well dressed, silver haired gentleman, and that’s enough for me.
God, the line where Bull is genuinely surprised that the Inquisitor wants to dance with him continues to live in my head rent free.
Not just because what would the people think, but because the man has a bum leg. Like yes, he clearly still has mobility. He is right there in the field fighting with you. But still. Dude needs a brace for his ankle and has probably been standing around all evening and he still remembers how much the Inquisitor wanted to dance with him, so he comes to them and offers to dance with his bum leg to something nice and upbeat after a grueling night of both of them being thoroughly judged by snobs who didn't deserve to get their lives saved by them but they did it anyway.
And I think that's beautiful.
Dear, sweet, Littlefoot, do you remember the way to the Great Valley? I guess so. But why do I have to know if you’re going to be with me? I’ll be with you. Even if you can’t see me. What do you mean I can’t see you? I can always see you.

#Children’s media used to be about making you feel the entire depth and breadth of the human emotional spectrum#All while your 7 y/o brain struggled to make sense of if all. But it was like an emotional vaccine#Comprehending loss at that age didn’t make it any easier to bear with age. But atleast it was familiar (conserving these tags by @jonairadreaming because yes)

battle couples has gotta be one of my favorite tropes though. The “you got me?” “Yeah, I got you.” The kiss for good luck. Fighting alongside each other for so long they know every strength and weakness. The dichotomy of being fucking terrifying to their enemies, but so soft with each other. When one is in danger and the other goes feral, protects them at any cost. When everything is over and done, it’s all “let me see where you’re hurt,” and washing off the dirt and blood.
