Will Storybook au ever be written as a story or made into comic form?
it won’t, unfortunately! it’s mostly just an open ou thing we made! however Happy and i have made a bunch of strips for it just for fun (although admittedly i still am considering making a small comic series for it, but that’s really up in the air atm since i’m really busy irl haha;;;)

New characters added to the Cast Page: SBAU has a hefty cast and we’re steadily adding them all to the cast page! The new additions are Juliet, Player Miles, Moose and Celine! Check them out!

The world of StoryBook was created by a tight-knit group of people who bestowed upon themselves the name Fate Players. They created StoryBook for very much the same reason a group of friends would come together and make up an OU: It was fun and something they could create and build together as friends.
A lot of the rules and regulations that come with being a Fate Player come from precedent. The original group laid down rules: each person would have their own role, everyone would get a codename of Player _______, each person would have a grimmsblade, etc etc and these rules slowly became universal law for the Players.
Some info on the ever mysterious Fate Players, the puppeteers of everyone’s fate! I wrote this to help answer some q’s from friends but if you all might find this interesting too? ‘ v ‘
Factoid: StoryBook isn’t just the name of this OU– it’s the name of the actual world within it! StoryBook is a place, specifically a fantasy realm. And if not careful, it is possible for someone to fall out of the world, out of StoryBook.
The fall will be a hard one. And you never quite know what is lurking in the unknown just beyond StoryBook’s boundaries.
Knees knocking, chest heaving, breaths puffing out so tirelessly his lungs begin to burn. The floor, at his feet, stained red. His legs drenched. Talons, with nails sharp and bloodied like the claws of a beast after a fresh kill. Digits so caked and crusted that each time he flexes his fingers, shards of blood crack and tumble to the ground.
The pool of blood at his feet ripples as he moved, agitated by the disturbance of the silence.
The body on the ground is mutilated beyond recognition. Was it an animal? A person? Someone with a life, a family, a job, children?
He knew it'd been a spur of the moment thing. He'd resisted best he could, but it was always the same. The urge would begin at his heart, a demanding ba-dump that pounded sharply against his ribcage, lightning fast. It would spread radially from there, beginning as a tingle that steadily began to numb him as it went. Becoming increasingly harder to ignore, spreading from his chest to every inch of his body. Freezing him along the way.
The longer he would ignore the sensation, the more severe it would become – the harder to disregard, as well. His stomach would knot, and then go numb. His throat would burn to the point where breathing became a chore, until freezing over. Just like the rest of his body.

Over the course of time, his vision would begin to blur, begin to tinge red in the peripherals. It would continue to worsen the more he resisted, until an invisible film of blood tinted the entirety of his vision. Until his heart was hammering, brain numb with an instinctive, bestial, predatorial bloodlust.
At that point in time, he was no better than a common monster. The boogeyman that woke children up at night, screaming and crying. His jaded eyes would lock onto anything that dared move. And, fingers extended like a pair of talons, he would rip them to shreds.
The longer he resisted, the more the body was mangled. It could range from a swift murder to a brutal massacre; the throat slashed, or the heart ripped out were the most gentle. The swiftest kills, but also the least satisfying.
Sometimes, the urge to see blood mixed with the urges to destroy and tear. Rip limbs from their sockets, gouge out an eyeball. Cheshire smiles, ripping the ears off. Anything to make the victim bleed. Claws raking down the face, chest, tearing out chunks of hair and bits of flesh. Movements frantic, instinctive. Ripping out the internal organs, dumping them on the ground. Massacring, mangling beyond recognition.
The more violent he was, the more therapeutic it became. The more he would calm down later – and come to regret it all the sooner. The freezing paralysis turning into burning remorse. A red-hot hand would squeeze his heart, ask him what and why. Why do this? He knew how to get out. He knew how to make it all end.
… Perhaps it was because he despised the alternative.
He would deal with this pain for a bit longer.
It not for his own fate, then for his brother's.
“Brother? Me? To you?”
“You bet!”
“Brother...”
