When the fourth couple's story had just started, I never would've imagined that they will become my favourite pairing of the drama, pushing the first couple down to the second place. Here I am now, totally obsessed with Shen "the ice king" Huizhao and Li "melting the ice king is my hobby" Haode. He loves Haode and will not take a concubine for that reason but another major reason for not having concubine is also because he is barely able to hold himself from letting his wife go. Why even would he want a concubine. Man is traumatised and the thought of Haode, god forbid, facing the same fate as his sister and mother someday frightens him greatly. So as he said, ain't nobody got time for a concubine. Fourth couple's whole storyline was delicious from beginning to end. 10/10 to them.

This is so adorable. He's reserved and he needs her open adoration but it never comes across as unequal because (a) he clearly adores her, he's just reserved and introverted about it (b) he treats her so so so so well (c ) with his personality, he needs someone else to make the first move.
