For the purposes of Tumblr’s content policy, those rats are hugging
by Denny Bitte
The police pull my lifeless body from a lake but I’m wearing the funniest hat they’ve ever seen and they can’t stop laughing and keep dropping me back into the water
Your third most recent emoji will reveal your aura
i need you all to reblog this with your sexuality and what your first dnd character’s race was
it’s for science
I’m constantly in a music rut, but I’ll never get out of it because I hate any music suggestions made to me and also playlists not personally curated by ME

I’ve seen this website floating around witchblr, and i would love if you guys reblogged this with your chibi!
Here’s mine! Or close enough anyway. I actually might make it my avatar for a little while because its cute and I like it.
someone: what’s your favorite channel?

Why do you hate the rich so much? What did they do to you?

Day 14: Favorite Fiber
Reading everyone else’s response to this, alpaca seems to be super popular. I have one alpaca yarn and it’s super fine, it’s very soft and lovely but I might appreciate it more in a heavier weight. I’ll look into it. Otherwise most of my yarn tends to be merino, and the lace shawls are usually a silk blend. So I guess I’ll go with merino because it’s so reliable.
Day 15: Favorite Yarn
I knitted a Hitofude cardigan out of Madeline Tosh “Antique Moonstone”:
and as far as colorway that might be among my favorites. I am also sitting on a skein of Western Sky Knits in “Motherlode”
and I don’t know what to do with it yet but damn it is beautiful. I also have a skein of “Patina”:
and it’s in the same boat. I could never pick just one (and there are plenty of others I’m hoarding) but apparently I’m very attracted to yarns that remind me of rocks or metal.
Day 16: Favorite Tool
I already mentioned some favorite tools, but I’m also super fond of my workhorse of a swift, I got it from The Oregon Woodworker at Stitches. It breaks down when I’m not using it so it doesn’t take up as much space as an umbrella swift would.
Day 17: Favorite Pattern
This has been sitting in my drafts for over a week because I don’t know the answer to this question. So, fuck it.
Day 18: Favorite Designer
Boo Knits? I’ve knitted a few of their shawls but I don’t think I have a favorite designer. I’m more decisive about who I don’t like.
Day 19: Favorite Project
Probably the Hitofude so far, but when this Celestarium is done, that may overtake it. I am very excited for it. The Hitofude fits...but not quite like I imagined it would.
Lazy NaKniCroMo Week 2
I’m skipping the WIP, my shawl looks just the same, there’s just more edging this week. I’m about 1/4 of the way through.
Day 7: Snacks
This info is much the same as last year. I never eat while knitting, that’s a good way to get food on your project. I’ll drink coffee though. Warm coffee with butter and cream or iced coffee with a splash of cream.
Day 8: Sounds
Lately I’ve been watching long video essays on leftist YouTube while knitting. If I really need to zone out I’ll put on an ASMR video. Occasionally I’ll knit with just music but it’s not quite stimulating enough for me usually so more often it’s Youtube/Netflix.
Day 9: Sights
What does this mean? Like what do I watch specifically? I love hbomberguy, ContraPoints, and PhilosophyTube. On Netflix I recently started The Good Place, been meaning to watch it.
Day 10: Inspiration
The “what’s hot” page of Ravelry. If I’m wanting an idea for a new project I’ll scroll through what’s new and popular, favoriting anything that looks good. Otherwise I take inspiration from any knitwear I see on mannequins or on TV or on other people. I would really love to knit a dark blue Neighborly Cardigan because hell yeah I want a Mr. Rogers cardigan.
Day 11: Pets
They aren’t really my crafting buddies because sometimes they don’t sit still but sure I will link photos of my ball pythons:
Artemis top left, my pastel and the youngest and best eater. Julius below her, in a goddamn rare and precious photo of him looking directly at the camera, after finding him under the sink in his one successful escape attempt, and Brutus, the biggest boi, but the calmest boi.
Day 12: Recharging
Knitting is a recharge time for me. But sometimes I need a break even from knitting. I will play a game or maybe take some time to eat. I used to knit until my hands were very sore, but that hardly seems to happen anymore. I think my hands just got tougher because I certainly don’t knit very ergonomically.

Day 1: Goal
My only goal this month is simple, finish the edging of my Celestarium. I’ll keep it simple because I truly have been working a lot without a lot of time to knit. I’m not even sure I’ll be able to block it because my blocking supplies are woefully inadequate for a shawl of this size, but I can at least get it off the needles.
Day 2: Meet the Maker
I wish I had some artsy photos of me and a lace shawl on the beach with a tastefully short depth of field or something but I don’t. I’m a process knitter, I guess, and my shawls and things end up laying around more often than not.
Day 3: Craft Corner
I tend to knit at my computer desk while watching Youtube or something. It’s a mess. I have a shelf near the desk where I store my yarns and notions and a tall cup for my straight needles which are just decor at this point. Anything in animal fiber is sealed in bags, because carpet beetles.
Day 4: Tools
I’ve been knitting long enough that I basically have any tool that I need, thankfully. Highlights include my ChiaoGoo circulars and my stitch markers with little cat ears.
Day 5: Other Hobbies
I like Dota 2 and lifting weights. I know some crochet but am somewhat uninterested in it, except someday making some amigurumi. I also like to sew but I don’t own a machine. I’m looking to get my grandma’s old hand me down Singer, which still works, and then making some clothes and stuffed animals. I also like to draw and am trying to get better while learning Krita (after only using Sai for a long time).
NaKniCroMo 2019 kicks off in one week and the photo challenge is here! We’re really excited about how it turned out this year and hope you are too! Don’t know what NaKniCroMo is? Check it out here!
