Sneak Peek Of One Goal In MInd
That was the one word that could be used to describe what was going on in Mixed City. It was chaotic during the Fall of Mixed City. It was chaotic during the Governor’s scramble to keep word of the World Tour’s true outcome from spreading.
And now…chaos had filled the streets of Mixed City. Both above and below. At first, it had been the uprising from both the half-Rocker population and many of the guards following the leak of information in regard to the World Tour’s outcome, the end of the Music Wars…and the dark, dark experiments that had been carried out for years. And then...it was true chaos as the results of the experiments were unleashed.
All across the city, half-Rock citizens ran for their lives or tried to fight back against the dark, twisted monsters, only to find themselves quicky overwhelmed. Even the few half-Rocker guards and Reggaeton mercenaries weren’t unable to hold them off for long. Alarms blared, and red emergency lights provided appropriate lighting to the massacre going on.
The Governor’s loyal guards had retreated into the centre district along with the scientists and anyone too valuable to kill to wait out the massacre…and give them a clear view of any problems that their monsters weren’t able to kill.
Right now, the Governor was watching the massacre of the underground districts from his tablet and the massacre of the aboveground from the wall when he spotted something.
Two rogue guards and a mercenary sharpshooter had formed a makeshift safe-zone, protecting a handful of half-Rockers with all their fury. And they were managing to hold back the tide of monsters.
The Governor growled before turning to his right-hand man, the Sheriff, and holding his hand out for a sniper rifle. The Sheriff nodded before passing one over to him. The Governor nodded in thanks before loading the rifle and taking aim.
And with just one angry shot, one of the rogue guards’ life was snuffed out, blood splattering as he fell to the ground, his weapons clattering useless. The remaining two and the civilians they were protecting had only a few moments to ponder this before being swarmed and torn to pieces.
The Governor’s gaze swept across the chaotic city, finding another target; a lone Prog-Rocker flying high above the ruckus. A Prog-Rocker that had a high chance of escaping.
And they couldn’t have that. He didn’t aim for the wings. No, that would be too quick. Instead, he went for the wings.
The scream of the Prog-Rocker joined the cacophony of noise as he fell into a horde of experiments.
He turned away from the calming chaos and turned to the Sheriff, “Are all the entrances and exits sealed?”
“Only a few but my men are working on tracking them down as we speak.”
“Good. Have our troops ready to advance on the rest of the city to round up any and all survivors. Let any more escape.”
And then he was off, handing back the rifle to its rightful owner. Off to visit the scientists and analyse how the experiments were faring in combat.
