the Abernant sisters make me cry in real life. imagine being pit against the only other person on the planet that truly gets why you are the way you are because you have the same parents. you’re rivals, but you respect each other somewhere deep down. you want to tear each other apart, but the moment one of you is in grave danger because someone other than you dared hurt them, you abandon your grudge and fight tooth and nail to save them. and then imagine you’re immortal magicians and you can read each other’s minds and you can see all of the hurt and the regret over the fact that you two fought instead of closing ranks and protecting each other against the two people that made you enemies in the first place. literally MADE you enemies. made you, and then chose to vilify one of you and lift up the other on a pedestal so high that falling guaranteed death.

and then when you finally rescue each other and have each other’s backs, one of you is killed in combat and the other of you has to hold on to the only thing that ever really mattered and hope and pray it doesn’t fade before it’s too late to get it back.

HOW am I supposed to be normal about them? They’ve killed and died for each other and they’re SISTERS and they’re mean and they love each other so so so much and want to do magic together forever 😭
