Babe—not all women have uteruses.
Some women have had hysterectomies. Whether by choice or because of health reasons like cancer or a pregnancy gone wrong.
Okay? And nobody without a uterus should get to decide what legislations affect people who have one.
"Some women don't have a uterus" is not a gotcha when we're talking about legislating a uterus. Trans women also should not get a choice when it comes to abortion because they're never going to need one. This isn't rocket science.
Hang on. You think women with hysterectomies can't have a say on reproductive rights? Even if they no longer have a uterus, there are plenty of who have had unwanted pregnancies prior to removal.
I would say no, that's not how I feel about it. I don't think that women who have had a hysterectomy should be left out of the conversation, but I also think the phrase "no uterus no opinion" doesn't apply to someone who has had their uterus removed.
I know that some cases of post-hysterectomy ectopic pregnancies can occur, and you don't need a uterus to have endometriosis, for example, so definitely reproductive rights and reproductive healthcare continue to matter for women who have had a hysterectomy.
I think that trans people weaponizing women who have had a hysterectomy against feminists for slogans like "no uterus no opinion" (which are a gross oversimplification of a valid point) is disingenuous, and that they don't actually care at all about women who have had hysterectomies, only that women not be able to discuss reproductive healthcare with the language they choose.

Let's hunt squids with mama
Wow, I've never seen them eating their prey!
Neither had anyone else! This is historic footage, no human has ever recorded their observation -even in writing- of a sperm whale eating a giant squid!
What really moves me about this footage is that the calf is so close by that this is likely one of their first ever dives. She is teaching him! (According to the source of the footage, the calf was observed to be male.)
Also interesting, some biologists have suggested that the process of surfacing rapidly like this, with the squid in the whales' maw, may be a part of the hunting tactic. The suggestion is that the whales use the rapid decompression to incapacitate and even kill the squids as a part of their hunting strategy, because they can withstand much more rapid depressurization than the squid can.
Whales are cool! The sperm whale is the planet's largest predator!
Whenever someone says socialism doesn't work, all I can say is "Idk finland has solved their homelessness problem" The rebuttal is usually something about the US being too big to be compared to places like Finland and Denmark, and my genuine response is that maybe we should break up into something more like an EU model

Impart me in your wisdom of ancient times
one time there was a tumblr user with the url “pizza” and she would just comment on any text post about pizza saying “omg that’s me” and then we found out she had an entire tag dedicated to saying the n word
One time somebody paid $750 for the url ‘hi’ and got deleted in less than a year for promoting weight loss scams
There’s always been something deeply wrong with this place.
Ooh I knew the boneghazi witch personally, she has abandoned two children.

Let's hunt squids with mama
This video depicts a moment that is nearly impossible to observe: a sperm whale surfacing with a giant squid clenched between its teeth. These predators hunt at depths exceeding 800 meters, where light does not penetrate, and only biosonar directs the pursuit. Consequently, clear surface images are exceedingly rare.
🎬: @lud_adventure
This is, factually, the first footage of this that we have ever gotten. This has never been observed by a human being before in recorded history. The only reason we knew these whales ate those squids before was the beaks of the squids found in the stomachs of dead whales, and the battle scars on whales consistent with fighting giant squids.
My favorite thing about this clip is that, in the original uncropped footage, you can see her calf is right beside her, ascending from the depths along with her. Whale calves don't dive until they're taught by their mothers. It is very likely that this footage is of a mother whale teaching her calf to hunt on one of its very first dives.
When I saw this footage for the first time, I cried a little tbh.

All those videos that are like "omg there's metal in baby food, look at the metal shavings when you put a magnet on the baby food" are so stupid
Ma'am do you know what iron is? The iron that you need for your blood? The stuff that makes your red blood cells red, that allows you to carry oxygen around your blood stream? IT'S IRON. I R O N. THE METAL. ATOMIC NUMBER 26, ATOMIC MASS 55.8. It's IRON. It sticks to a magnet because it's ferromagnetic.
Jesus fucking Christ.
